I'm still confused. How was it resolved correctly if he got 5 token copies of Zealous Conscripts from Mirror March? EDIT: you even say "the second copy then gets him two more (zealous conscripts)"

These kinds of games with "underpowered" commanders are some much more interesting. Especially that Boros blinky value deck and the mono Black enchantments deck.
Sadly the game was only interesting until Purphoros basically killed two players and put the last one as basically dead too. A card that strong will overtake the "underpowered commanders" instead, it'll just take longer for it to hit the field.
You do know while there are OP commander there are ways for underpowered decks to do dumb stuff right? majority of commanders can do dumb unfun things just didnt happen here quickly
Before I watch, I’m already intrigued by Archangel Avacyns opening hand. EDIT: After I’ve watched, I’m not the biggest mono black fan, but that Aphemia deck seems sweet and easy to build money wise minus a few cards. Also mirror March.
3:40 Arlinn gives vigilance as well, could have then blocked the charming prince and not passed the monarch...may seem inconsequential but once a single card is drawn unless we know that card it could've been the difference
Really happy to see an aphemia deck first time I've seen her played since there's so few deck of her built. I'm currently building a mono black blink / jank enchants deck with her as commander

I got Avacyn for a Gurren lagann theme deck, boros blink looks sweet! Especially when you can protect your board by blinking Avacyn on either side to get the front face ETB
Arlinn Kord gives vigilance to the creature as well as haste, so your radha should have been untapped. this would have saved your planeswalker earlier in the game 3:40 really fun game to watch though!
If I can offer some consolation, I've been working on a Snapdax primer. Its not quite ready (not happy with the interaction suite) but I'd share the core ideas. I promise it isn't anything you've seen before and it's really powerful, making Snapdax an integral part, not just for colors.

I was watching the game and was thinking the aphemia deck really wasnt do anything, and was wondering what its wincon was. Playing random regenerate cards to regenerate your 2 mana commander really didnt seem good
Boros, Mardu, "uncommon commander" in B and a new Gruul babe? What a lineup! Loved to see this one. I am happy and cozy getting into MTG Muddstah videos again after I skipped them entirely over the last half a year somehow.
This was a fun game. The traverse play would have been awesome, but letting someone else get 12 basics gives them so much value that I think Max had to stomp on that fun. I've been kicking around Aphemia ideas, and now I'm inspired to give it a try. I really like the hanging out and having fun vibe this game had. We can't hear the conversation, but this really looked like a fun time. Games that get really serious are fun, but sometimes Commander is just the activity and being with friends is the actual point.

So: Mirror March doesn't work as explained. The additional copies don't trigger Panharmonicon. It is one trigger which repeatedly tells you to flip coins until you fail. You would get 2 triggers from the first to start flipping, but none beyond that. It might have adjusted how that last turn went.

At 13:30, the Altisaur took damages from fighting, so it fight again, and again, and again, until it dies or nothing can be targeted. Not just once Andrew :)

But it did fight as it entered, aphemia and a token got killed. The second ability works as crazyteeth explained. Therefore, it should have continued to fight, right?

Would this mean that Max could have used the Profane Procession to exile the Purphuros once there were enough tokens to make Purphuros a creature? Or could he not respond until all the Mirror March copies have been summoned?
I believe Martin rolling until he fails is all one trigger, same as the tokens entering. By the time Max would have gained priority they all would have dropped and triggered Purp.
The Apex altisaur fighting ability is not a may trigger. When he is dealt damage you have to fight again. Also cool Decks, i like less played commanders more than others
08:00 you play Temple of the False God. I've been getting a lot of hate for supporting that card. Lots of people think it is horrible. I know, it can sometimes be a dead card, but I feel like in a land heavy deck it makes perfect sense. If someone is playing a land heavy deck and they get Mana screwed because of Temple of the False God it probably means they did not Mulligan properly right? Like, if you run 35+ lands and you don't have 5 by turn 5 you probably are doing something wrong I think. I've been playing commander since 2014 and Temple of the False God has almost never failed me. Maybe I'm just good at mulliganing around it. What do you think?
When you get stuck on 4 lands and one of them is Temple of the False God, you feel it. It cost me enough games to cut it from my decks and never look back, unless I'm playing Lands Matter, and even then, there are so many other lands I'd consider putting in the deck before Temple of the False God. I need lands that can reliably tap for mana.

@@blackmountain1983 I get the angle of better mulliganing, but tbh, I agree with Dark that Temple of the False God is so far down the list concerning utility lands that there's just no place for it in modern edh lists.
Despite hitting 5 lands on turn 5, you probably won't have them in hand since the beginning, so you may hit those 5 lands on turn 5, but in earlier turns you had to play the Temple because you didn't had an option, and don't having that mana earlier could probably mean having less mana later, as you could've ramped, but you didn't had the mana for doing so. My thoughts on Temple of the False God are pretty ambiguous, I still don't know if I like the card or I hate it, I've used it some times, not that much, but also not that few. I believe that having one mana less is way more impactful than having one mana more.

I felt a bit let down by the game. 1. like you already said I could not really figure out what Snapdax was trying to do and some of the cards he played just felt a bit random. 2. The whole game I felt had really a lack of action. Mostly it was a stalemate with only a few small punches being thrown and everyone trying to build up so 3. when someone was able to win it just were out of nowhere.

what about homeward path? was there any reason for not to use it to stop the atk?
Doesnt do anything with the fanatic + conscript. Max dies to fanatic dealing 18 and Andrew dies to the hasty conscripts.
Homeward Path itself can also be stolen.
