Very nice yield and right on par with what I would expect. I've found the yellow ones to run around 6% silver and the black ones to be around 8-9% but a lot of that depends on the manufacturer and age. But these ones did not disappoint. I have also found that after I process them in nitric and then in sulfuric/H2O2 and then again in nitric I tend to squeeze out just a bit more silver. Not a lot but enough to make it worth it. I have no means to melt the tantalum but I did find that I can separate from the silicon that's left over by panning. Still looking for somewhere to sell my tantalum powder at a decent price (everyone seems to just want me to give it away) but I still have around 5kg of caps to process so I am not in any rush to sell. Once I have it all done I'll look with more seriousness.

nice & clean recovery, i always enjoy doing big amounts of silver chloride, i clean my tantulum pills with recycled hot sulfuric acid to get rid of the other junk afterwards, i have a small home made electric arc furnace here that i made from 2 microwave oven transformers & a set of fire bricks & a pair of tungesten electrodes, i can actually melt tantulum in it, i can only do a few hundred grams at a time tho, it costs more in electric to do it than the tantulum is worth if i do any less than a full 300 gram load.

Hi dusan, nice video, can you make a video talking about extract silver before gold in gold solutions. I see so much videos , and people Talk about gold recovery or about silver recovery, but never Talk about recovery silver from solutions and Next recovery gold from the same solution.
Congratulations for your Channel, its one of the bests about goldrecovery.

Try watching mbmm he refines metal only by melting. He tries alot of different things. He has done platinum from catalytic converters without acid. It is worth a look I bet you could get that tantalum into a button

I found the slag comes off on its own then.

Next time try to put in silver nitric blue solution to put just copper metal or wires in the result is better direct to melt and spares you cost of hcl acid!
