Back in early December 2019 a few days after Thanksgiving, as part of my "4th Quarter 2019" Food Challenge Tour, I traveled down and over to Atlanta, Georgia for one food challenge before flying down to Florida for more challenges. I went to the Brookhaven, GA location of Lucky's Burger & Brew. There are 4 locations around the Atlanta, Georgia area. I took on their famous 8lb Grim Reaper Burger Challenge which had been attempted almost 800 times since it first started many years ago. Only my friend Brandon "Da Garbage Disposal Clark" and one other person had been able to complete it within the 1 hour time limit. There was a 4lb Certified Angus Beef burger patty topped with American cheese slices, bacon, 8 fried eggs, Lucky's hand-breaded onion rings, mayo, and more. Thanks to everyone with Lucky's Burger & Brew for the wonderful food and hospitality, and thanks to all the amazing people who came up to watch and meet me that evening!! We appreciate everyone around Atlanta and the state of Georgia supporting our efforts!! The next video will feature a big calzone challenge in Florida.

Lucky's 8lb Grim Reaper Burger Challenge in Atlanta, Georgia ($50):
- This includes a 4lb Certified Angus Beef burger patty topped with 8 slices of American cheese.
- It also has 12 strips of bacon, 8 fried eggs, Lucky's hand-breaded onion rings, and mayo.
- That is all served on a local bakery-made 1.5lb challah bun.
- There is a 1 hour time limit to finish everything (no sides included).
- 24-hour advance notice is required so they can have the bun and everything ready.
- The meal can also be bought to serve a family of 2-4 people.
- Winners receive the meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and a $200 Lucky’s gift card to be used later.
- Winners also get their name and photo posted up on the location's Wall of Fame.
- There are 4 Lucky's Burger & Brew locations and the challenge is available at all of them.

Either it is intentional or they are lazy as it is more difficult to cook a very large burger all the way through. It is rare, not medium rare at best.

I do too -- really moist and juicy. So many are afraid to eat a medium-rare burger, but I've done it a bunch of times and never been sick.

Chase Blunt the reason to get burger med rare is so it’s easier going down and doesn’t lock up the jaw. This burger compared to the episode get got sick from is cooked perfectly! 😁

Go to any high end burger place and they all ask how you want it cooked. There are several dishes made with beef where its raw. Steak Tartar. Beef Carpachio. How do you explain that?

The mincing process exposes the surface area of the meat to much more bacteria and this makes the chances of you getting sick extremely high. You only have to have basic food knowledge. Most "chefs" are just people who work in kitchens, not real chefs, no real restaurants would serve you raw bloody meat you dolt.

I've seen about 50 of these challenges, and I must say that was as impressive as any of them. A four-pound beef patty? And that massive bun would have filled most people. Great job, Randy!
Less than 20 minutes to eat 4 pounds of burger, a pound of bacon, 8 fried eggs and a mess of onion rings, plus about a half pound of cheese. Then it takes over 18 minutes to eat the bun. Maybe he shoulda started mixing in some of that bread as he went along. In any case, this guy is nuts.
