Would you recommend the Audi R8 RWD 2021 for a country with a lot of bad road conditions, large and frequent speed bumps, holes and rough terrain overall? How's the ground clearance, Wheel durability, suspension and damping ??
I live in Los Angeles. I first saw a R8 in person by Sony studio in Culver City, in ~2006 - 2007. It was being driven by a handsome young working actor, who was on a popular TV show at the time. Upon my inquiry, he did not own the car, but was lent the car by Audi Corp for a period of time, just to get around LA and beyond to generate attentions from curious people like me.

The r8 is wall better than the bmw i8 In terms of performance, the bmw i8 is slow but the Audi R8 is fast and they both cost almost the same price, so if I had like $200k in my pocket and if was to chose between the Audi r8 and the bmw i8, I will definitely go for the Audi R8 v10 plus

A used r8 is going to be my first exotic lol, I’m already seeing 2009 manuals for 70k, I’ve seen the facelifted v10’s for 130k. Very possible with hard work and good investments
My son works as a lot attendant at the local Audi dealership and was giddy when he got to take care of one of these for a customer. Made his week, re-energized a hum drum work week for him. Just like when you watch one of Raiti’s reviews!
Absolutely if you can afford one lmao! These naturally aspirated high revving V10s won't be around forever. If I could, I would buy one of these in a heartbeat.
Just go buy an E60 M5/M6 if you want a sweet V10 sound. You can find them for $16k, with under 100k miles. Want a bad car! Buy this, rebuild the motor, supercharge it, complete suspension and component refresh/rebuild, and you can have a 100whp M5/M6 for under $50k, including the price of the car, after all is said and done. It will sound as good, if not better than the R8.

Got to drive one of these at a BMW driving experience....it was beautiful, and obviously just so much fun. I then got back in my Honda Accord to drive home....don’t think I’ve ever been so unimpressed😂 though it of course was only in that moment I love my accord lol
A friend of mine does detailing for a living, and a guy who owns a blacked out R8 hired him. He bought it in part because the AWD allows him to still use it during the snowy winters here in New England.
I love Audi. I owned a 2001 S8 and currently own a 2013 S5 cabriolet prestige. Wonderful cars. But, as much as I love the beauty of the R8, in my mind, I can't justify the $189,000 price tag over my 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. The performance numbers are close, with the edge going to the gorgeous Audi, but my CTS-V might cost all of $25,000 today, and it does have a touch screen infotainment system. Again I love and own Audi products just want to add some perspective. If you love the R8 and have the means, get it! Thanks for the Vlog Joe! Thanks Laurie!!
I have an ‘18 R8 V10 Plus and love it. Been a Porsche guy for a while and while the suspension dynamics aren’t quite up to Porsche standards (primarily the rebound), I’m loving the car. Acceleration is quite a bit better than what is posted by Audi. And the sound from the V10 is AMAZING!

Gallardo's brother from another mother. Sadly we don't see refreshed/facelifted Gallardo anymore because it was replaced by the Huracàn and I'm sure it'll go head to head with the current Audi R8. If Lamborghini made a track version called the Huracàn STO, I'm wondering what will an R8 looks like if it fits with some track-focused components and bits just like the STO 🤔
Two comments. 1) I will never look at "round abouts" the same again. 2) I think this video had more "on throttle's" than any other single video Joe has ever done. I certainly understand why.

I'd get it for the engine alone... were you able to feel any other differences from the pre-facelift? Lowering the engine by 30mm i believe was part of those changes

Picked up a fully loaded 17’ R8 V10+ with added mods for a good deal 2 months ago and haven’t seen another R8 close to the price I got mine for. Last year and when Covid hit was definitely the best time to buy, I’m sure I could have gotten one cheaper if I searched last year. But there’s still a few left out there for a decent price if you look hard enough. These cars are holding their value / appreciating right now, not much time left before it won’t be worth to buy for awhile…

Though I love the NSX, this R8 is superior. Why? Normally aspirated V10, no distracting 'infotainment' center'; Real All Wheel Drive/Quattro, no electric motors.

They are super reliable. In 2019 there was a V10 5.2 R8 at the GTI wörthersee Meeting with 479.000 km (like 300k Miles). First Motor, First gearbox.

I found the road you was driving on.. Wiregrass Rnch BLvd.. That is a bit of a ways out there.. But I'll roll out there in the MX-5 next month. lol 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
Though I love the NSX, this R8 is superior. Why? Normally aspirated V10, no distracting 'infotainment' center'; Real All Wheel Drive/Quattro, no electric motors.
