Was watching your videos for a while on the R35 GTR and was about to pull the trigger on one when I changed my mind and got a 2020 Audi R8 Perf. - Stock exhaust sounds better on the R8 compared to the Huracan in general, but it's still a preference thing. These V10s with aftermarket exhausts are crazy loud, but you are right in saying that it's the best way to unlock the true potential of the engine/car. - The sound system is arguably 5x better in the R8 compared to the Huracans. Not a big deal for many, but I love the huge bass the B&O system delivers in the R8. - In terms of rarity, I see way more Huracans than R8s in the 2 cities I live in. I find R8s (especially the gen 2 facelift) to be extremely uncommon.
Owned a 18 V10+ for 2 years. Loved it and glad I didn't go for the Huracan. It was enough of an event driving the R8. Wouldn't want to deal with anymore attention.
Yeah the R8 is plenty of car! With an exhaust it seems just as fun as the Huracan. I feel like if you go Huracan, it needs to be a Performance or a Tecnica at least.
Being an LP Gallardo owner. How do you feel about the Huracan? Are you feeling that it is so much better or are you satisfied with the Gallardo? Please provide your insight here. Where is your head at with this.
Honestly I like the Gallardo a lot better. So much more character and drama. I felt a bit board in the Huracan. And you can tell they added in the kicks between shift with tuning vs how my old single clutch actually kicks you. I think I'd need a Performante Huracan as the next car up. I couldn't see selling my G for a standard Huracan. All I felt it does better is the tech which I don't care about. I like the older school feeling and character to mine
I was looking online you can pick up a decent 2012 R8 V10 for under 100k which is a lot of car for the money. Not to mention even the GT's (when there on sale lol), can be had for a little more, and I think will mostly likely appreciate soon. With that said, I think in this comparison the huracan would be the better buy for the comparison just because it is a much more aggressive car, however with the exhaust in the R8 V10 does sound amazing, as muted for the gen 2 facelift is a bit muted. I do think had it been the pre- facelift gen 2, the R8 wins hands down unless the Huracan is a Performante or a STO, and it's because it is a much more aggressive car, with good looks as well as being able to really hear and open that naturally aspirated V10 up. I think the R8 is one of the best exotics for the money, and you can get into a nice mid engine V10, for under 100k if applicable. Glad to say it's my dream car lol.
Yeah the first gen is a lot of car for the money! Mikes V8 manual was about $80k with 20k miles. If you go automatic, you can be in the $60k range. If only V10 manuals were more affordable
As an owner of a 2023 R7 Spyder at 6'2" I tired to fit in the Lamborghini but I was sadly too tall. I LOVE the R8 more than the 2023 911 GTS I traded for it.
Yeah that wedge shape looses a bit of headroom over the bubble style roof in the R8. It's a really fun car for sure. Step up from a GTS. I think the GT3 would be more on par with the similar character.
My first love for cars has always been a Lambo. But the R8 does come in a very close second. I honestly don't think I could choose between them if they're both the same matte black color. 🤔 I do think the R8 sounds better though.
Yeah it'd be a cool next car! However I like my G better than the standard Huracan. I felt a bit board in this vs my car. I'd need to drive a Performante and see if that would have a more exciting feeling.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed you are the 3rd person who I've heard say that! The huracan is a little too easy to drive in comparison. I also like the LP e-gear drama lol
@@lambohayden Yeah I’ve driven them in the last and always enjoyed them. But now having 2k miles under my belt with mine. I couldn’t see getting the Huracan anytime soon. Just too easy. Maybe an Aventador would be the best next car 😂
@BrosFOURRSpeed It was on the r8. Basically, the radio screen is on the drivers dash. But apparently, you still can control the knobs where the radio screen should be at but without the screen in the middle. It's still a fire car though 🔥 Too bad they ain't making it nomore
Instead of Lamborghini obtaining a V10 engine from Audi, it manufactures itself and Audi will do the same, it will not obtain such an engine from Lamborghini, but will produce a V10 engine itself, as Koenigsegg thought of producing an engine himself, and it is also a genius idea to do this instead of obtaining an engine from another manufacturer, for example Ford, and that, only the volume of the engine or the injectors And that exactly the same.
What exactly do you mean? Thats a pretty long run on sentence to follow lol. But since Audi/VS Group owns Lamborghini. It makes sense to develop the engine together. Also these cars are $150k-$300k. The Koenigsegg is several millions of dollars. You pay a whole lot more when every aspect of a super car is one off
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I mean I gave details about car engine manufacturers what they thought logically and only later it was discovered how many things are the same at all, that's what I meant.

@BrosFOURRSpeed Then it's even easier - just sit on the couch and talk about them... I mean, it is not family van just to drive for a couple of minutes up to 3k rpms and get a conclusion. If you can't get a car to test it properly, then the couch is a better choice, IMO.
Just look at any video at the Throtle house channel and you will get the idea. And I'm not talking about supercars only. It is better to see golf tested properly than any super or hyper car for couple minutes on the bumpy street...

Very cool! New R8's are definitely a ton of fun! We really liked driving this one! We see quite a bit of both in our area. But Certainly good options!
I would take that Lambo all day especially with that matte finish and style.
Can pickup an r8 v10+ for £80k in the uk and a huracan for £115k, worth the price difference? Kinda depends on what you want the car for
It was a sweet spec for sure!
@@iCozzh thats cheap

R8 is much more beautiful than Huracan ( my opinion )
Certainly a great looking car

Which exhaust is on the r8?
I'm not too sure. But probably an X Pipe. Sounds just like my Gallardo which has an X Pipe
Same car but the R8 is wearing a business suit, while the Huracan is wearing a cocktail dress!
Pretty much! Cool to see how different they still drive tho with the different tuning
that was a cool supercar comparsion i enjoyed it a lot, But i think the huracan is better in some ways.
Yeah definitely has some good features!
Still prefer my 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S . Faster and daily driven
That’s a fun car too!
Between audi r8 v10 or nissan gtr which one is better for you?
My brother owns the R8 and I had a GTR before selling for my lambo, all great cars!

Easy cars to fix for sure. Plenty of parts out there for a Huracan and R8
