A wonderfully comprehensive review of these lights and the optional light switch and dimmer module! Thank you very much for all the time you put into making videos like this!
This is very helpful. Thank you! The wiring diagram looks pretty intimidating when you first look at it so I was glad to find your video. The only tricky bit I think is going to be finding a switchable powered wire. BMW code their wires and green is the colour for a switchable powered wire so I will look for that. I'm going to tie in a small voltmeter at the same time so I can keep an eye on my battery status. I researched carefully before buying and these are the best on the market. I'm looking forward to seeing what these bad boys can do! (Sorry, I'm in Canada so bought from a Canadian supplier.) Much appreciated.
Just installed these on my XT250. I'm sure this is a less commonly used application for the lights, but this video was tremendously helpful! Thank you for putting in the work to make this demonstration.
David, I always love your videos. I have an F800GSA with the OEM auxiliary LED's. Wondering if your light bar will mount to my GSA because I'm not sure if the cyclops lights will fit in the same space as the OEM's when I pull them off...
That depends on where you connect your control wire. If you go to the battery, the lights shut down immediately. If you tap into the BMW CANbus, then that system shuts down in about 30 seconds.
cole098 the dually is a good light, but to the human eye the Cyclops was much better. Dually didn't reach as far and it spilled unusable light to the sides. My buddy runs the dually and I have a bike with them. The Cyclops is hands - down better when compared side-to-side.
Heimat - the camera can't pick up the difference in lighting that the human eye can. And the resolution of the UA-cam video also cuts down on the perceived illumination. Another factor is the dark background beyond the roadway. The Cyclops made it possible for the eye to see beyond that point. The Rigid light illumination stopped at that point. As for being "useless", you really don't know what your're talking about.

I always feel oncoming traffic is at a loss blinding ones view even if it is on low beam
Really like your videos sir!
How long do the led light stay on after you turn off the ignition?

Rigids are not so bad imho
All I see is the Dually was better

17:47 practically no difference... useless
