    Such a beautiful afghan and great tutorial - I love how you are showing where to use stitch markers. I'm an intermediate crocheter and I use stitch markers on every project every time and it is a simple thing to do to ensure an accurate project with fewer (or no) mistakes. Well done, Sigoni - thank you!

    Wow you are the only vid i have seen that shows how to join the entire blanket. I have been stuck at 2 rows for so long. I see row 3 and beyond you join one square at a time. I am so mad but thankful to know now

    This is gorgeous! Glad I found your channel! I've always loved this yarn but have held off on using it. Does it fall apart eventually with washing..like the chenille sweaters or no?

    I LOVE THIS!! But it looks like I'll need to find alternative yarn as these are prohibitively expensive 😭 😭 so I'd love some help in working out how to do that! To make it a little bigger would cost me close to $300!!

      If you’re talking about prices on Amazon, those can be a little high. But you can find this yarn at Yarnspirations and on Joann with frequent sales. Yarnspirations right now has all of this yarn on sale and it would only be around $65 if you purchased during the sale

    Bulky yarn is so expensive I usually use 4 ply if u know where u can get bulky yarn cheap please let me know

    • @SigoniMacaroni
      @SigoniMacaroni  2 роки тому

      It can be expensive but you also don’t need to buy as much. With this blanket you only need 7 skeins to make a full blanket and it would cost around $65. With medium weight yarn you would need a whole lot more and it would most likely equal out depending on the type/brand/fiber you choose. I would stay away from Amazon or at least make sure that you price check because they like to raise their prices. But you could always go to JoAnn fabrics online or if you have a local store, and use the coupons but they have. They almost always have coupons every day

    • @krazymammaw3040
      @krazymammaw3040 2 роки тому

      @Sigoni Macaroni yes I don't buy yarn from them or ice I have a hobby lobby a micheals and a Joanne's all near me I just look for coupons for all 3 with all my scraps I will be doing a straight line granny blanket my grandaughter took my other one lol I keep watching your tutorials I like the way you tell things keep up the good work thank you ..

    I was looking for a pattern to make granny squares using bulky yarn and I came across your channel. And I subscribed 👍
    I’m using
    premier Bloom chunky yarn. It’s a 5 bulky and
    using a 8 mm hook it’s a
    self striping yarn so I’m making squares using your pattern and the squares are all working up different so it’s a lot of fun!
    No, switching colors and it’s fun to see how all the squares are working up so differently. Thanks again happy crocheting.🧶 my name is Sue 😊

    • @SigoniMacaroni

      I just ended up weaving them all in when I was finished with the blanket. It was a lot so I definitely recommend weaving in ends as you go

    Wow. If I had never made a granny square blanket before your intro would have freaked me out and I would never have tried it. Granny squares are fantastic to do. I find this the easiest crochet project to do. Now I'm going to watch rest of video and see what happens. If you don't hear from again means I liked it.

      Sorry! I didn’t mean to turn anyone away from making classic granny square blankets. It’s just how I have always felt towards them but I still would love to make a traditional blanket one of these days 😊

    • @marycintron9221
      @marycintron9221 2 роки тому

      @@SigoniMacaroni Try crocheting over your ends where possible. That's what I do. It makes a big diff. After 25 or so crocheting I still can't join as I go. Blankets get to bulkie to handle. Even using large dining RM table. I really do enjoy your videos. You just popped up about 2 mos ago.

    • @SigoniMacaroni
      @SigoniMacaroni  2 роки тому +1

      @@marycintron9221 I’m so glad you enjoy my videos! I always crochet over my ends too, but I go overboard and still weave them in because I’m paranoid they’ll fall apart 🤣
