I have been following Kevin ever since he used to work for Microsoft and spoke mainly about about how to use Teams. I admired Kevin's explanation skills and his clear and concise way of communicating technical functionality in a simple way. It is so nice to see Kevin utilising those skills to talk about other software that helps us to work in a more efficient and often nicer (more fun) manner! keep up the GOOD work Kevin. Stay safe!
Ahhhhhh I love that first feature! Was wanting to eventually do a tutorial on that one feature. It would be so cool if you could edit the PowerPoint real time as you are using it as a green screen. Fingers crossed that happens in the next update. Regardless still a cool feature! :)
Thanks so much. I am a professor & I thought I was up to speed, but this video provided a lot of great features particularly "CC" for transcripts to perhaps turn a Zoom into a book draft.
Thanks. Before, you could mute and unmute participants as the host. This was very helpful for me as a teacher. Is this feature still available? I had trouble unmuting a child in my class today? ADEBO
Very nice! Meanwhile, on an earlier version of Zoom, there was a sound notification when a participant joined the waiting room. I would love to have that capability again.
Great summary of the new features! I've been using Camtasia for years. But now I'm producing more complex videos for UA-cam with DaVinci Resolve, I think I'll ditch Camtasia for OBS Studio. It's more flexible. Especially when you need to export files to use in another editor.
Hi Kevin, I love your presentation format - you make it both informative and engaging whilst at the same time going through the steps of explaining (whatever you're demonstrating) very clearly. I don't often ask this of UA-cam presenters, but can you please do a session on Remote Desktop Access (primarily for home / family use). Main criteria of focus:- * Ease of installation of the recipient of the support, * always looking for no cost or low cost product, (not Team Viewer) * ability for file transfer, * must be cross platform (Win / Mac/ IOs, Android) and of course * the ability for the software to clearly display the host and client screens with clear resolution so that the person providing the support is not struggling to see the remote desktop. I am currently using AnyDesk (because it is cross platform but resolution struggles a little) & Cloudberry Labs - MPS 360 (for Windows to Windows) connections (because of clear desktop resolution) Many thanks in advance - Harry
Excellent Kevin...thanks so much! On the tip for enhancing my appearance, I do remember using the slide to minimise or maximise this feature before (last year).
Very useful, Kevin. I will try these features out. One thing I noticed is that when you suppress background noise, your voice also becomes unclear. That's not good. I wish the clarity of the speaker's voice would stay the same.
Hi Kevin, What is the best way to control the Zoom meeting of 4 people? 1) one admin / a host log in and assign other 3 to be co-hosts? Or 2) all 4 people login to the zoom as administrators to control the meeting
Thanks for the video. It would have been good if Zoom view for the receiving end is shown. I was wondering how sharing two windows would look like on the screen for the user, so ended up trying with my phone and pc.
Hi, Kevin! Awesome vids! Thank you! Great style. Question: What app to use that allows for you to create a "moon" around your cursor pointer. I'm trying to find one. Thx!
Kevin, this was great; I learned a lot in this video. How do I add scripture references to my video while I am speaking or after I have recorded in zoom.
Hopefully someday you'll be able to do a video on how to increase the volume of the pinned speaker and lower everyone else's volume! Please make it so #zoom!
Thank you very much Kevin, your videos for Zoom and Microsoft Teams users have been so helpful. Is it possible to share a window and whiteboard simultaneously both on Zoom and Microsoft Teams? I tried doing that using the control button, but it did not work. I would appreciate your help on this. Thank you.
Thank you! I really like the Slides as Virtual Background feature. Is there any way I can annotate while I am using that feature? i am a teacher and it will be very convenient if I could do that. Thanks again!
Thank you so much Kevin for updating the tips. Just would like to find out if my account is BASIC Account can I still made a co host for other participate?
Thanks for this explainer. I still don't understand why I'm never able to share OneNote without sharing my whole screen - it looks like you have that ability.
Hi Kevin, the ppt as background is just great, thank you for teaching it us! I exprerienced that the animations and transitions are not working in this case and step for- or backward is only possible by using the mouse, the presenter does not work. Do you maybe have suggestions to fix those issues? Thank you, Judit
Good video but I have been wanting a feature that would help SO MUCH...I want to be able to list each person at my physical location and be able to "raise" a hand for each person with me so that the host knows EXACTLY who to call on when a question is asked and, say, two or three different people all want to comment, I want to be able to select the person/s that are trying to comment so that the host not only sees that someone from my home or office is raising their virtual hand but they can see WHO SPECIFICALLY in my home or office is trying to comment. All that I should have to do is, as I'm signing into the meeting, I simply list each person that's present with me. The host should see the names of everyone I listed and whenever one of my people wants to comment or respond, I simply click on which person/s are responding, the host then sees who in my home or office is commenting and he/she selects the specific commenter he/she wants to hear from. This would also help with recording attendance of participants if that's something the host wants to know. It would be great to one day see this feature happen with Zoom. If someone knows how to get this suggested to Zoom, by all means, be my guest.
Kevin, thanks for the video. I want to use a PPT as my background for part of my presentation as the host of a meeting. However I have a co-host that I want to have on camera at the same time as me with the PPT as our background, is that possible? Also, can I easily go in and out of the mode of showing a PPT as my virtual background? Do you suggest that maybe I just go from PPT to gallery view for my meeting and not have the PPT as my background? We will have about 40 people. Our Zoom Meeting is replacing an in person meeting that we typically do around a very large boardroom style table setting. Would really appreciate your suggestions.
Awesome. When I go to advanced share screen, the use PPoint as virtual background is ghosted? Does it have to be Power Point or could I use Google slides?
powerpoint as background. When I record it, I end up in a box in the upper right. It doesn't look that way when its live but it's that way in the recording. Advice?
Hi Kevin, I’m after a countdown timer for meetings I host. Are there any free, good ones? And how easy is it to use? How can it be done without screen sharing? The latest zoom one is really good but I need the pro but it’s $15.99 a month
A very needed feature in Zoom is the ability for the Host to manage the loudness of zoom participants. I have some callers that are too loud and are a disturbance and distraction for other meeting participants. Is this something that Zoom have in the works?
Question: In Zoom, what is the best way to get a scrolling banner features to use for a business add and/or sponsor add, below or above the screen to people to see; especially if you are asking for donations for people to give? Deepak Mehta
Thank you for all these wonderful features. My last question is how do I put my name in the FROM on the chat. It only says from ME to everyone. PLEASE HELP. Thanks
Excellent zoom tutorial. I urgently need help in using powerpoint as virtual background. I followed through your steps, but my old macbook air keeps poping up "Unable to import "my ppt.ppt" because PowerPoint is not installed. For sure that my computer installed powerpoint already, but just failed. PPT files could open properly individually. Please advise how to fix.

Are these new feature available for Linux because I can't see them
Kevin, can you pin more than one person to the screen for presentations with 2 or more presenters?
Dear Kevin, will you promote our website in your video description how we contact you?
@@jamess5840 Hey James - I don't current insert paid placements in descriptions. Cheers!
Hello Kevin, Can you do a video on Advanced Zoom Polling?
I appreciate what you do. It will be great if you can talk about encryption : mail, file, disk. You have a way to make everything easy.
I have been following Kevin ever since he used to work for Microsoft and spoke mainly about about how to use Teams. Terrific! Thank you for the update summary. Very very helpful for busy solo-preneurs.

EXCELLENT! Just what I needed to start teaching online again after a two year break!

You are the best. Short and very informative. Thank you Kevin.
Great video and quality. I appreciate when you zoom in for better viewing quality so I don't have to strain my eyes to see what you're teaching.
At the start of quarantine you had less than 100 K subs, now it’s 400K! Pretty cool sir.
I’am learning so much, you have no idea ... Thank you, your videos are just amazing.
Thank Kevin!! Updates are always exciting!!
This was great! Just need to get started with zoom for my business. Thank you!
This was the most fun instructional video ever - thanks!
Thanks Kevin. So helpful. I shared with my facebook group and they loved it. Much appreciated.
Very informative video especially for teachers like me. Great way of explaining without wasting any time
Thank you Kevin for the updates about Zoom :)

Kevin, you always did a great job, but take care, don't work too hard. Bless you!
Kevin, enjoy all your tutorials. Great job!
Excellent Kevin...thanks so much! On the tip for enhancing my appearance, I do remember using the slide to minimise or maximise this feature before (last year).
Thank you Kevin for sharing this amazing hidden features. I am waiting for the future videos like this.
Very useful, Kevin. I will try these features out.
One thing I noticed is that when you suppress background noise, your voice also becomes unclear. That's not good. I wish the clarity of the speaker's voice would stay the same.
Yeah, I wasn't too impressed by the noise suppression when on high. I think they still have some work to do there.
Good stuff, Kevin! Great delivery. Packed with useful information. I wonder how you do the time stamps on your video.
11:00 noise suppression really messed up the entire audio. You sounded like you were in an combination sound isolation echo chamber.
Hi Kevin, thanks for these great videos. I really enjoy watching them. Do you know if breakout rooms are recorded too? Thanks
Very good. Going toe-to-toe with Microsoft is not something I would ever do, but they are definitely holding their own!
Very useful and lots of new features. Cool...Like it so much. Thank you for sharing.👍
Thanks! This was helpful...love the new features

Great video tutorial. Thanks
Thanks for this video helps me a lot
I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. Do you have any tips on how to use dugga and pear deck in MS teams?
Thanks for the note! I'll add dugga and pear to my list. Thanks for the suggestion!
Kevin - Love your videos! Can you do polling in Teams Live?
The slide share feature will be great once they start supporting slide builds.
This is fantastic - but double check your comments on Background Noise...there is some funky echoing happening there...
Thank you Kevin.
Very useful. Can you please make a video on Adobe photoshop and the tools and the basic guide to it please
Great stuff! Well done! (One elipsis... multiple elipses 😉)
Awesome video!!! what a clear explaination
Thanks for update tips. Loved studio effects! One question: I sometimes type in French - any idea how to add the accents in the chat facility?
Hopefully someday you'll be able to do a video on how to increase the volume of the pinned speaker and lower everyone else's volume! Please make it so #zoom!
Kevin - This was super helpful - thank you - do you have any videos on how to do zoom overlays?
Tell me more. Are you looking to put overlays on your video footage (e.g. lower thirds)?
excellent overview. Thanks a lot
Thank you very much Kevin, your videos for Zoom and Microsoft Teams users have been so helpful. Is it possible to share a window and whiteboard simultaneously both on Zoom and Microsoft Teams? Hi man huge fan
I have a. Huge question about OBS
Can you please tell me how to set a scene where you can fullscreen webcam
Add video capture device and select camera and resize it to full screen.

Thanks for this explainer. I still don't understand why I'm never able to share OneNote without sharing my whole screen - it looks like you have that ability.
I was anxious to try out some of these tips, but, alas, my Zoom account does not have that Powerpoint option.
I LOVE IT YOUR THE BEST KEVIN
Thank you for this video. I appreciate the concise overview.

Great overview

Thanks for being a blessing!!
The power point as virtual background is not enabled for me. Does it require a pro account?
It should work with free as well.
Can we see 49 participants in zoom(updated on) in basic version or do we have to buy it?
no extra cost, if no 49 option, it means hardware can't support 49.
Kevin the Great man ...
King of Technology
Features Are good I like it.
Hi Kevin, is there any way to use Zoom to teach zoom? How do I show the active Zoom screen while being in zoom.
Thank you!
