    Good video! Can co-hosts be set up ahead of time? I like it for speakers.

      Unfortunately, you have to assign them live in the meeting. If you have a company Zoom account, you can set-up alternative hosts in the backend but for co-hosts, you'll need to do that in each session once those speakers join.

    Great job Logan, thank you. Does adding a co-host to a webinar work the same way as a meeting?

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  2 роки тому

      You're welcome! Yes, it's a similar functionality. The big difference is that they should have a "panelist link" to join the meeting as opposed to the participant link.

    I pay for the zoom membership for a genealogy club and use my computer to host meetings. If, for some reason, I am unavailable, can I have someone else perform these duties on his own computer? We have remote speakers at our meetings.

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  9 місяців тому

      They would need your login and password to use your account if you want to continue to only pay for one Zoom account. Alternatively, you can pay for an additional user for your account and then use, they could use the same account to host meetings with their own login. I often do the first option for webinars that I can't lead but need someone else to fill for me for different organizations I volunteer for

      @loganclements  Рік тому

      Hi Siren, have you enabled the co-host feature in your backend settings in Zoom? You will need to first toggle the co-host feature on at Zoom.com > Settings > Search "Co-host" to make sure it's enabled. Let me know if you have any questions!

  • @montanokb

    Can I be a "host" (as in, it's my account), but not be seen on the webinar?

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  20 днів тому

      Yes, if you stay camera off and muted while the webinar is live, you won't be seen. Anytime you're unmuted, you would be heard but you can also use spotlighting to control who the webinar participants see. All speakers will be able to see you but the attendees won't be able to!

    Question? When you make someone a cohost, can attendees ask questions in real time? If I'm interested in creating a group meeting is it free or is it an upgrade fee?

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  2 роки тому +1

      Great question, so cohost and the chat/Q&A feature are two separate things. If you have made someone a co-host and you've set your Q&A to only be visible to the host/presenters, then yes your co-host would also be able to see your questions. Zoom has a free version that allows you to set up group meetings, they usually just limit the length of time you can host a meeting, currently it's 45 minutes I believe.

    I don’t find it when using mobile (my phone is I-phone)

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  2 роки тому

      Hi Shemo, on the Zoom mobile app, you'll need to click on Participants and then click on the person who you'd like to make the co-host and you'll see a few options pop up, starting with mute, and towards the bottom you'll see the option to "Make Host" or "Make Co-Host." This appeared for me when I had at least two other people (3 total) in the meeting. Hope that helps!

    • @loganclements
      @loganclements  Рік тому

      Yes! If you're the host, click on the Participants list in Zoom Meeting, and then click the name, it'll give you options to make them the host or co-host. I'll be sharing a video on how to do this in the coming weeks!
