Anybody know the difference between Fairtex breathable models BGV1-BR and BGV1-AIR? Only the BGV1-BR is available on Amazon, but only the BGV1-AIR is listed on the Fairtex site. Maybe they just renamed the model? I have a question into Fairtex but I'm not confident I'll get an answer.

kyron Batiste I've tried numerous pairs from both brands and the fairtex always are the far superior they fit so well (and I have pretty large hands) so they will stretch if your hands are pretty big and the quality is so much better than twins

kyron Batiste I've tried both of them and they are really good gloves, excellent I have to say, they are both 100% genuine leather. but if you're looking for a sparring, pads and heavy bag gloves you should definitely go for the Twins special, they offer much wrist support and knuckle protection, but if you're looking for a fighting (competition) glove you should go for Fairtex, they're more a competition gloves, and also offer decent wrist support and very good padding distribution for competition.

You don't want to use these gloves in sparring unless u want to own n hurt someone in the club......I did own a 10oz of this model.... It is super lightweight n the padding is not thick enough.......u will knock someone out in training easy with these.......although the vent is quite comfortable even with wraps on.....BUT again.... I won't recommend someone to use them in sparring......

Why would you spar with 10oz gloves? 16oz is generally accepted as the appropriate size for sparring.

+Xsynth these gloves are terrific bag n training gloves, but no matter which oz it is, the padding is always too thin and dense to spar with, its the shape and padding type dictate what is a pair of sparring gloves or training gloves. n The 16 oz sparring rules does not apply worldwide or across styles, u will be amazed many local gyms here spar in 12 or 14 oz thai gloves, kyokushin tends to use 8 oz or 4 oz mit due to full contact no head bang rule

The heavier the glove the more padding it has. A 16 ounce glove has way more padding than a 10 ounce one.
