Great review! I've trained and fought in Thailand for years. Thai pros and beginner 5 year-old kids use these exact gloves. These are the best Muay Thai gloves ever!
Been waiting on this review for a minute. Bought these as my first pair of gloves. Felt like I was hitting a tree and my wrists where mangled after. But over time I got used to them and they are a well made gloves. If you wanna inflict pain on your opponent or bag and feel the power these are for you.
I just got my bgv1 tight fit yellow gloves today, they kinda look more gold than yellow based on your vid. However, it is still an amazing gloves, feels great wearing it can't wait to break them in later.
I've had a pair for over 2 years and they're still going strong, velcro is still secure. I found they were a little tight at first (and my hands aren't large at all), but after breaking in, these are the most comfortable gloves I've ever used. These are great for people who want to feel their punches connect on the heavybag with a good snap. They also open up great as you said, fantastic for parrying and the split-second clinching in boxing
@@ludwighelmer5207 They definitely got more roomy after breaking them in well! I could probably use them without handwraps just fine but I prefer the more snug fit
Great Mitt and Bag gloves. Don’t love them for Sparring so much they feel like getting hit by concrete. Just IMO I like Top Kings and Windys more but they are great bay for buck gloves 💪🏼
If you're heavy and over 6ft tall/big hands, do not get any less than 16oz in these. I own 14oz and they are very painful on the fingers with boxing wraps. I'm not sure if even 16oz would be better as I haven't tried them. Currently shopping for something more comfortable which is a shame as I love the quality of these gloves
Bgv16 are far superior in my opinion especially for smaller hands I have a length of 7 inches and bgv16 is perfect fit for opening hand and glove box also much more compact padding with a grip bar.
I think you are mistaken. There is no tight fit version: BGV1 is the single variant which is also / alternatively described as tight fit in some instances (very confusing). Also I don’t think there is an 18 Oz (perhaps there was). But it is likely there never was, rather it seems to exist as a (phantom) drop down option which when selected is described as sold out. Not that it is actually sold out, but rather that’s how the options menu is set up not to provide an 18 Oz.
Good question! Yes they can be used for boxing for sure but for a fairtex glove better for boxing I'd go with the BGV9, BGV6, BGV5, BGV11, BGV14. Those are all good thai gloves for boxing and have the shape of a "traditional" boxing glove
Recently got these and was very impressed with how much tighter of a fist I could make compared to my previous gloves (Hayabusa T3's) and I've been on the lookout for compact gloves ever since. That being said, are you planning on getting your hands on a pair of InFightStyle Compact gloves? They seem to be pretty new versions of the standard sized gloves so I haven't seen any reviews around.
If your previous gloves were hayabusa then even a glove made entirely out of poop would seem like the best thing ever in comparison... I have owned almost every high end boxing glove brand out there, look into Bayoneta Premium if you want something compact and good for all purpose use including sparring.
The padding isn't thick on the knuckles I wouldn't use them for hard sparring or hitting the heavy bag really hard. They are good if you're mostly doing muay thai regimen - thai pads, focus mitts, technical sparring , clinching, taking gloves on and off during sessions. I have two pairs 14oz regular and 10oz with the mesh hand (dries quickly).
I’ve had the problem of “thumbing” my sparring partners in the eyes continuously 😆 didn’t know a term was coined for it. What’s the best non-thumbing gloves? I used everlast and still thumbed away lol
For thai gloves I agree with josef, top kings are pretty soft but by god can I not fit my hands in them. I would say win1 by topboxer or heavy hitters training gloves are your best option.
Is this good for kickboxing? I just want to do cardio boxing and do the fightcamp. I have small hands,125lbs. I was looking at reyes too. Which one do you recommend.

Agreed with this statement
The v is for Velcro. I agree, their yellow is nice. Great review as always
That makes sense!!!!! Thank you for that!
i Found that out by searching “bgl 7 Velcro” for an hour before researching and finding out bgl (boxing glove lace) and bgv (boxing glove Velcro) 😅
You can never go wrong with Fairtex. Craftmanship is always perfect. Great review !
Agreed!

I hope they bring you years of good training my friend!!!

Hey do you wear handwraps under your gloves? I just got my first pair of the BGV1 and they are to big without handwraps?
@@ludwighelmer5207 Yep, always wear handwraps under your gloves to make them snug and protect your hands
Thanks mate! Do the gloves also fit you without handwraps? Or are they to big without the handwraps?
@@ludwighelmer5207 They definitely got more roomy after breaking them in well! I could probably use them without handwraps just fine but I prefer the more snug fit
"i't's like a blade going through butter." is how i could describe my 12oz bg1 laceup's that I have in my rotation for heavy bag work.
Good timing on the review. My pair of white /black/ red comes in tomorrow. Can't wait to try them out.
How are they workin?
@@combat_corp I friggin love em.

Spot on about the lack of wrist support
Thank you for making this extremely helpful video, man!! :)
Thanks for the awesome comment!

Thank you for your experience! I have heard the same
You need to break them in
Nice review, thanks man. Bought these today
Let me know how they work for you!
@@combat_corp They're fantastic. The leather is great quality very durable and strong. Feels like it'll last a really long time
thank you for e review, been decade using top king, want try some fairtex tho
I know many people that love Top King. They just never fit my hands comfortably
My favorite muay thai glove tbh
They are awesome!
If your not doing mma get a western glove. If you are get these. They give the flexibility of a 4oz glove but padded. Thats why they are popular.
First gives I ever trained in were fairtex yellow 😍😍😍

Just copped these 😁
Nice. Looking at buying a pair of thes

I never knew that when you represent a team from Thailand you use it as your last name when you compete.
BGV9 or 1? Whats ur opinion?
I'd love to see you review a pair of Sandy or twins gloves
Is this good for boxing I have small hands for a guy but my hands are wide and I want to know it these are good for boxing

these dont have enuf front padding, i would not recommend this model for boxing or boxing training.
Are they really this bright yellow? Because I just bought a pair and they look more like mustard yellow. Don't know if I bought some fakes or not.
Hi! Did you like more These or the Fairtex BGV 11 F Day?
Tough call. F days are great! I think those work better for everyone
Can you do a review on top king, windy, yokao and twins muay thai gloves 🥊
For sure! But I will tell you that I do have reviews of Yokkao and Windy so far!
@@combat_corp cool than you
Mate, you always know the best colours to pick. The yellow is fire 🔥
You're the man! Fairtex Yellow just goes well with everything I feel!
hi, Do you recommend them for kickboxing for an intermediate person or another fairtex model ? up to 150 euro
I do!

very useful video
Super positive comment! Thanks dude!
These are great gloves. I own 4 pair. But I will say at this point Yokkao tops everyone with the way it feels.
I do agree!
Please review Punch Equipment Mexican range!. Its an Australian Company.
They're good apparently
Which fairtex glove has the best padding???
Hmmmmmm. I would have to go with the bgv6 I would say
Bgv19
Are they good for the bag work
Would u recommend them for boxing?
Hey man - can you list a few, perhaps more affordable than Reyes, latex based punchers gloves for training? Looking for that "recoil".
I sure can!
@@combat_corp thanks bro
At first glance. I always see the logo as “Farted”... I might have to get some just for that...
LMAO
😂
any huge difference between the 16 and 14oz?
Can you make a review on bgv11? Also, ive read some comments say that its a sparring glove and shouldnt be used on the bag, thoughts?

10oz good for Padwork?
Just trained for a month in thailand 10oz was perfect for pads. If you sparring prob best to have a seperate 14-16oz set
Can you review HYabusa T3?
I’ve had the problem of “thumbing” my sparring partners in the eyes continuously 😆 didn’t know a term was coined for it. What’s the best non-thumbing gloves? I used everlast and still thumbed away lol
Do yours have a foam piece on the inside near the fingers ? Just got some and it’s a weird feeling
These or super fly x?
bgv1 or bgv19?
i need a pillow glove for like 100 max what should I get
Top king super air. Or i like there double lock also

No grip bar on these
you should review twins
Will do sir!
I have ten pairs of gloves and I can tell you this are the WORST of them. They don’t give any kind of support at all. They look pretty nice thought.
