One of my fighters who is a big puncher got a pair of these gloves. He uses them for everything and is not much for taking care of his gear. These Fairtex gloves still look great and has held up to sparring and bag work for over two years. You would need to spend a lot more money to get a better pair of gloves then these fairtex gloves. I came from Cleto Reyes and decided to try these gloves. I couldn’t be anymore happy about them. These are excellent gloves and the build quality is top notch and rivaling Cleto Reyes. They almost feel identical too just with the addition of that extra grip bar inside the glove which I’ve grown to like. I got 12oz and I’m 185lbs with heavy hands. These hold up very well on the heavy bag. The dense padding is perfect. Just all around a perfect glove. The best part, their half the price of Cleto Reyes.

I used the Velcro 16 oz version of these gloves for the last 1-1.5ish years of training 5-10 hours per week. The leather is amazing and has held up very well, with only minor scuffs and folds. However, the padding has started to bubble noticeably on both gloves. I just ordered New Sporting with 100% natural latex padding (still waiting for them to arrive), so hopefully that padding will last longer!
My favorite bag and mitt workout glove. Super streamline and durable. The foam in this glove last longer than glove ive owned. BEST bag glove period. After 7 years i got another pair as the foam is now a little too soft .

Hey pare! 2 great gloves, but a little different. Matrix more traditional muay thai style where these bgv9 is definitely a mexican iteration of a boxing glove. Just depends on what style you want.
How you compare the fist and thumb positioning to the Cleto Reyes Training gloves? Obviously the padding’s would be different but how is the hand compartment and thumb feel? I have short thumbs so the Reyes thumb has never been an issue would these give me a comparable fit?
Hey man question for you.. how do these gloves compare to reyes gloves? I'm using 16oz cleto reyes at the minute and getting knuckle pain. Just wondered if the Fairtex gloves would be better to train with. Thanks for your time.
@csquaredboxing I got a question but first, great work and dont stop 💪. I really like to throw everything i got in the heavybag. Problem is my hands are bit smaller as the average size and in the gloves i use right now, my hands moving inside the glove by the impact what brings me knockle pain and not only to the front knockles. So got the BGV9 a tight feeling? And do you have other recommendations for bag gloves for somebody with small hands 😅 up too 120 bucks?
Thanks for the link! Looks like a great website with many options. With that being said and I did a comparison, you could purchase these gloves from Amazonfor $92.00 with only 2-3 shipping time because the gloves are coming from within the US. Muay Thai goods has a good comparable price including shipping is $95.27, however international shipping is 12 business days. So you're paying just a little more ($3 bucks) but the delivery time is definitely longer. Just food for thought, either way is a good option.
csquaredboxing Yeah but it's depend on the country you're live in..it was cost me 90$ to Israel. If you order it from muay Thai goods you have a lot of color options and it's on back order so they make the gloves special for you after you make an order.. You can also contact them if you want a specific colors and they can make almost every request.. Your reviews are the best man!

I really want to get this glove but I’m picky about the thumb position I’ve completely disregarded Cleto Reyes because I can’t fit into any thumb. Sabas has become my go to glove for anything, how would the Fairtex thumb position compare to their Pro Series and Super Soft?
It's comfortable, just a tad less comfortable than Sabas Pro Series and definitely way better than Reyes. It isn't awkward and you can make a great fist with them without the thumb feeling out of place.
MrJazinsky What about the Sabas thumb do you like? I have these and the thumb is positioned straight and occasionally makes contact when hitting targets. Normally not a big deal but I dislocated my thumb 2mths ago and it will get sore in these gloves.

Appreciate the support! They are a little heavier by about an ounce, and they are slimmer profile. I would probably say 16 ounces would be good on you based on your dimensions.
Hey cs, do you find alot of Muay thai gloves the finger compartment is tight and the grip bar feels cheap and the knuckle padding is lined up with your fingers not your actual knuckles? Eg. Twins Special gloves.
Typically muay thai gloves I've found the hand compartment more snug in general because there's more padding on the back and top of the hand which gives a feeling of being tight. Also, they can be used without hand wraps, which some prefer. Grip bar is subjective as far as feeling "cheap", I've used some that feel fine.
Dude! I was waiting before I made that purchase. Ya came through, appreciate it!☺️👊 I'm building a patio right now, I seen the message, and just ordered the blue ones in 12. Paid to shop, baby!😂 I hope you have a great weekend, brother, and enjoy the fights tonight if you're watching them.
I have read that the hand compartment is really roomy nd im worried to get them i was hoping yo buy them this week but have doubts, what do u recommend? Help plz

I have these in the same color but in 14oz. They are a great quality glove but, I actually cut the thumb attachment. The thumb attachment is the only con about these gloves.
They look like great gloves, can you open the hand enough on those for some Thai clinch? and would they work in light/medium sparring or they would hit too hard on your partner?
i keep hearing that the hand compartment is tight, which makes me hesitant to buy them i have the BGV11 14oz (green F day ones) and they fit well, are they the same? (my hand size is 19x10cm
I have a pair of these gloves and I've always asked myself why the inner liner is like glued to the padding...I mean it's like if the padding and the liner are almost the same thing and, inside the hand compartment ,it gets a bit rough. did you notice that too?
one of my friend is heavy hitter he was injured thumb with title gel intense gloves than started to use cleto reyes velcro also he wasnt happy with it. he tried my gloves fairtex bgv5 he liked a lot but i couldnt find bgv5 here i found bgv9 is it similiar gloves?
Im currently using the twins special airflow 12oz, and im really convinced that i should upgrade into these fairtex mexican style glove, is this considered an upgrade?
@@csquaredboxing im about 150lbs, trainings consist mostly of heavy bag and mitts training, should i get 14oz or 16oz? Hopefully you can advise, thank you and stay safe pre!
The hand compartment is huge, my hand swims in them (I wear XL motorcycle gloves, for what that's worth). The knuckle padding is about six inches thick. And squishy. So far I don't like them (I have only done about 20 rounds on the heavy bag with them). There's also an annoying seam at the tips of the thumbs. If they don't "break in" I will probably ditch them and get another pair of Sabas gloves. I really want to like these gloves, so I am hoping.
Two style of gloves, fighting sports more protective and a little larger in profile, bgv9 offers a little more feedback with a compact feel. Leather quality and construction on fairtex better as well.
How do these compare with the RDX F7 Ego? a - are they much harder? Im a beginner, but find the RDX hurt knuckles. What would you recommend as an all purpose glove under $110. Are these good for all purpose or maybe too hard for a beginner?
@@csquaredboxing Thanks! I'm 74kg and 6ft. I've been using 16oz - and this is usually what amateur gyms seem to reccomend here in the UK. Would you agree on 16oz for these to build my strength etc?

Appreciate the support! They are a little heavier by about an ounce, and they are slimmer profile. I would probably say 16 ounces would be good on you based on your dimensions.
@@csquaredboxing thank you so much
Hey cs, do you find alot of Muay thai gloves the finger compartment is tight and the grip bar feels cheap and the knuckle padding is lined up with your fingers not your actual knuckles?
Hi! I seen your review online, and I know you know your stuff, so I have a major league question😂 Should I get 10 oz or 12 oz for bags and mitts?
12
Help plz
I'm a punch heavy kickboxer student (amateur k1 rules; so light on the clinching and ); if I'm very particular with wrist support, do you recommend the Fairtex BGV9 or the Fairtex BGV6?
I'm 5'6" and 81 kgs if it helps.
Thanks

thanks mate :) love your review vids@@csquaredboxing
Hey would you get these over the adidas speed tilt 350? Both are in the same price range
My hayabusa s4's are gettin old and gross..thinkin about upgrading to these
Nice bro I think you’ll enjoy them
Hi Carlo, where do these gloves rank alongside your recent reviews of the Heavy Hitters Hard Padding and the Venum Hammer? Thanks a mil
They’re up there in quality I still prefer the hammers though over both
@@csquaredboxing Really appreciate your response.
Hello, I'm planning to get these boxing gloves, I'm 5'5 101lbs, what oz should I get for bag work and occasional light sparring?
Thank you
14
I have these in the same color but in 14oz.
They are a great quality glove but, I actually cut the thumb attachment. The thumb attachment is the only con about these gloves.
Al Pena how do you cut the thumb attachment?
They look like great gloves, can you open the hand enough on those for some Thai clinch? and would they work in light/medium sparring or they would hit too hard on your partner?
I would avoid them for sparring unless you really break them in before you spar with them, same thing for the clinch
i keep hearing that the hand compartment is tight, which makes me hesitant to buy them
i have the BGV11 14oz (green F day ones) and they fit well, are they the same? (my hand size is 19x10cm
My right hand glove had loose stitching in the finger compartment
Hello my friend!! Very interesting video! Question for you...I red there is some difference between bgv9 and bgl7...is true?
Hey there! I havent tried the BGL7 yet so unfortunately cant answer that accurately! Maybe sometime in the future.
One is laced and the other is velcro. Same template though
I weight 150 what oz gloves should I get when it comes to hitting the bag also I’m 5’7
I have a pair of these gloves and I've always asked myself why the inner liner is like glued to the padding...I mean it's like if the padding and the liner are almost the same thing and, inside the hand compartment ,it gets a bit rough. did you notice that too?
Yeah just a little, they could offset it with a softer interior padding to be more form fitting.
Would you recommend these or the Everlast MX Training gloves more for most of bag and pad work ?
That’s a hard one, I’d say these
one of my friend is heavy hitter he was injured thumb with title gel intense gloves than started to use cleto reyes velcro also he wasnt happy with it. he tried my gloves fairtex bgv5 he liked a lot but i couldnt find bgv5 here i found bgv9 is it similiar gloves?
No, bgv9 is Mexican style with a more punchers feel
@@csquaredboxing thanks for answering i changed bgv5 to reyes gloves
Fairtex Bgv9 or Everlast Powerlock 2.0 Leather ver
Isit true that this glove’s 14oz is simmiliar to other brand’s 12oz ? Like Twins,Top King and Yokkao.
Yes
Hello, I’am your fan from Indonesia 🇮🇩🇲🇨
I am 5’10” and weighted around 210lbs. What size do you recommend for Fairtex bgv9 ? Sorry for broken english
16 ounce
Im currently using the twins special airflow 12oz, and im really convinced that i should upgrade into these fairtex mexican style glove, is this considered an upgrade?
Definitely
@@csquaredboxing okay im sold, salamat pre! Stay safe!
@@csquaredboxing im about 150lbs, trainings consist mostly of heavy bag and mitts training, should i get 14oz or 16oz? Hopefully you can advise, thank you and stay safe pre!
Do you have reviews on combat corner gloves thai boxing gloves
I currently dont, sorry, maybe in the future
Hi, may I ask which is better for sparring between fairtex bgv9 and sabas supersoft(all 16oz)?
Thank you so much
Supersoft for sparring
Hey, Im wondering if I should cheap out and buy the synthetic bgv14s instead of these. What do you think?
Also my hand circumference is 7.5 in. Do you think 12 Oz or 14 Oz better fit?
You could save a little money that way and I’d say go with 14 ounces
Hi, what gloves are better for bag and mitt work with occasional sparrings:top king super air or these fairtex bgv9?
Bgv9
The hand compartment is huge, my hand swims in them (I wear XL motorcycle gloves, for what that's worth). The knuckle padding is about six inches thick. And squishy. So far I don't like them (I have only done about 20 rounds on the heavy bag with them). There's also an annoying seam at the tips of the thumbs. If they don't "break in" I will probably ditch them and get another pair of Sabas gloves. I really want to like these gloves, so I am hoping.
I sold my fairtex bgv14 because they didn't give me good support. I am now happy with rival and boxeo. And my sabas proseries are on their way.
See if you can do a review for the new rival 100 series gloves
Will do, try to get my hands on a pair
Hello mate, would you reccomend these or the powerlock pros?
Depends, different kind of gloves
Hi, I'm 140lbs in weight. How many oz do You suggest me for bag and sparring?
14
do you like these more or the geezer halos?
Can you do a "No Boxing No Life" training glove review?
Will do!
@@csquaredboxing thanks
Hi, is it design toward boxing rather than muay thai? And how does it compare to Venum impact for training. Thank you very much.
More of a contemporary boxing glove. Quality wise better than impacts but not as protective
Can you review the Fairfax BGV14
I’ll check them out
I weight 150 and I’m 5’7 which oz gloves should I get if I’m gonna hit the bag?
16
A toss up between these and Fight Sports Tri-tech?
Two style of gloves, fighting sports more protective and a little larger in profile, bgv9 offers a little more feedback with a compact feel. Leather quality and construction on fairtex better as well.
Would you say these gloves have a smaller profile than the BGV1 muay thai version?
Yes a little smaller
Just ordered a pair , how’s the fit ?
How do these compare with the RDX F7 Ego? a - are they much harder?
Im a beginner, but find the RDX hurt knuckles. What would you recommend as an all purpose glove under $110. Are these good for all purpose or maybe too hard for a beginner?
These are good for beginner and overall a better glove than the Rdx both in terms of comfort and knuckle protection
@@csquaredboxing Thanks! I'm 74kg and 6ft.
I've been using 16oz - and this is usually what amateur gyms seem to reccomend here in the UK. Would you agree on 16oz for these to build my strength etc?
Please review the Fairtex bgl7 lace up gloves.
Will do
How much similar are these to Cleto Reyes?
Cleto reyes have a quite better wrist support
Pls fairtex bgv27 amateur Boxing Competition gloves
Pre which is better BGV9 or BGV14? Been using twins for 8years now, used winning before that but it was a gift from my promoter that time need to buy a new pair. Ano maganda bro
Thanks man bgv9
@@csquaredboxing thanks bro keep safe
Hey I have about 8 inch hands would you recommend the 14s or are they too small?
I’d go with 16s
csquaredboxing are these the new minor changes model because people say those have too much room inside?
How tall are you? I ordered the 12oz and its kinda small. I am a small guy who stands 5'4 but the bgv9 12oz are smaller than my twins 10oz gloves.
5’8
Could you do a review on the fairtex bgl7 ? Did it keep the old concrete style padding or did it get the minor change like the bvg 9?
I’ll check them out
@@csquaredboxing thanks that would be awesome. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a purchase
Do you have a video up on glove maintenance?
ua-cam.com/video/ueARM37vCLY/v-deo.html
Bgv9 or r2c c17. Which do you think is better as general purpose glove??!! Many thx in advance
c17 better for sparring and more cushioned
I see you also reviewed the BGV11 very positively. Which would you recommend as an all-around training glove primarily for heavy bag use?
The bgv9
hows the wrist support on this? is this a comparable bag glove to the Rival rb10/hayabusa t3?
It’s decent, not as good as Hayabusa or rival guerrero
