    You always come up with very interesting video topics, and this was very fun to watch. I remember before I sewed all my own clothes that these were the same issues I had. My husband was always saying, "Why do you need more clothes!?" Now he says, "Aren't you going to run out of things to sew?" Ha! Never!😅

    Don't get rid of the knit skirt. That is a nice straight piece of fabric you can use in something else. Make another hoodie and colorblock in, using the skirt for sleeves or the kangarooo pocket. I have that same fabric in 3 different colors and wear tops and hoodies from it all the time because it is so practical for where we live.

    That’s a really great idea. I’ve noticed what pieces I mostly grab for as well, and making a conscious effort to sew more repeats of those patterns in 2024, perhaps in different hack versions.

      i've definitely leaned into the repeats myself. it's so much easier to remake a pattern you've sewn before.

    That is so interesting that you kept track of how many times you wear a garment. I would probably be horrified if I knew how few times I wear a garment.

    I'm so glad to hear you're going to frog that poncho! Although I love the poncho, I would hate to see that gorgeous yarn be given away or remain unworn. When you first showed it - my jaw dropped - that is something I would wear ALL THE TIME! My colors, my style 💕 I love that you track how often you wear all your garments - that makes the geek in me smile 😀

      yes i could see how you would love it! the itchiness tho--i would really consider keeping it intact if it weren't for that.

    Fellow outfit tracker here! totally enjoying to see how you presented the numbers into categories. I admit that I don't even count ,my loungewear since they are ALL the time. and I do that hanger trick for everything else, you know, turn the hanger backwards when worn and then try to force myself to wear the ones left with the hanger the right way. But I do track mine too and get allot of thought out of looking back. Great work!

      i'm the same with workout clothes. i used to track them but i wear the same pieces every week so there's no point. i also think it's so useful to keep track of what you wear!

    You have inspired me to keep track of what I wear this year. I have made a start on my list, fingers crossed I can keep it up as is interesting to review. Thanks Sarah.

    I really like your thoughtful approach to sewing. I made a McCalls dress that made me look like LIttle House on the Prairie. I sewed it beautiful and I HATED it. I get tired of making things that aren't good on me. I need to be much more sensible. Thanks.

    I think that red birthday dress looks great on you. So sad you can’t use it more, but I live in a small rural town and get “ things that don’t fit in lifestyle.”
    Thanks for introducing Surge Fabrics. I think I’ll be turning to them for some cozy flannels and fleece knits.

    Hi Sarah!!!❤ Merry Christmas to you! ✝️
    I would love to be able to count how many times I've worn something in the year, but I can't remember how many times have worn something in a month?😅😅😅

    You didn’t really seem to include any work wear. Is that because you have a lot of RTW work clothes?

    • @knottygnome
      @knottygnome  8 місяців тому +1

      I only go to the office 2-3 days a week so I don’t wear any of my workwear frequently enough to make a top 3.

    ha-ha. You're going to "frog" your sweater ?? Unravel it ?? & reuse the yarn ??

    • @knottygnome
      @knottygnome  7 місяців тому

      yes. "frog" is a term people have used for years to mean reclaiming the yarn for use in another project.
