I made this for my family and we all absolutely loved this version of your Cajun alfredo, incredible and my dad said it's the best he's ever had in his life!! Thank you for sharing, we make this regularly now
my friend served this dish to me last night while we were playing pool together. it was so good i asked him to share this recipe with me so i could make it!
Absolutely delicious Claudia! Been looking to cook something like this for a long time. Made with local variations because some stuff was hard / impossible to get here in Thailand. Didn't buy enough cream so melted some cream cheese in butter and added it. Added a dozen sliced Shiitake Mushrooms and 4 rashers of air-fried bacon cut up into small pieces because everything goes better with bacon. Thank you for sharing this--it will be one of my trusted recipies from now on.
Claudia thanks for this slow cooker recipe. I love ❤️ chicken ( and shrimp), alfredo. I never thought of making it in the slow cooker until I saw this recipe. Now this is the only way I will cook it. I’m cooking it now in my slow cooker, the third time since I’ve seen this recipe. Thanks again.
Delicious recipe and thanks for posting this! I ended up using 5 pounds of skinless boneless chicken breasts, so instead of 2 hours on high in the crockpot, it took 2.5 hours on high in the crockpot for my chicken to reach 165 degrees internal temperature.
Interesting blending the Alfredo sauce with Cajun seasonings. I think when I do this I'll use chicken thighs to kick up the chicken flavor some. Well done and Happy new year 🎉
For those that have already made this. Would you or did you add extras cajun spices as the quantity used doesn’t seem much. I’m hoping to make this tomorrow evening and after some recommendations. Thank you
I've just put all this into my slow cooker, followed the measurements... only I accidentally bought extra thick double cream and its SO thick. Thicker than yoghurt lol. I hope it comes out okay!
Okay, it didn't really come out that great. All the flavours were there and it was tasty, but the extra thick cream ruined it. It was like eating hot pasta ice cream. Will have to try again with the correct cream.
After you took the chicken out the sauce did you sear it again? After slow cooking the chicken in the sauce for 2 hrs it lost that golden brown color and the texture was very soft. What's the trick to keeping that golden brown crust after the 2hrs of soaking?
I could listen to Claudia read the phone book and be happy ❤️

Came out soupy
it will come out a little soupy, but the cheese will thicken the sauce. and the longer it sits the thicker the sauce gets
Why not add the pasta with the chicken and cook at the same time out of interest?
Wouldn’t the pasta get too soggy/soft?
No. Chicken is NOT done in 2 hrs. needs 3-6.
Followed her instructions and its worked for me mate
