@SmokinandGrillinwithAB, It's 5:30pm and my ORANGE CHICKEN is done. I'll be feasting on this in a few minutes after it cools down. I'll be back to give you an update. Thanks for all you do.
I seriously made slow cooker orange chicken for the first time ever today! And man do I wish I would have waited for your video. It wasn't terrible, but your recipes...well yeah I just wish I would have waited. You haven't disappointed me ONCE!
My guy..... absolutely perfect presentation.... from A to B.... plus the vibes of music.... bro.... bout to get the ingredients and a bottle of yac.... dinner gonna be served.... salute
7:38 THANK YOU FOR SCRAPING THE SIDES OF THAT POT! Some videos do a less than spectacular job of utilizing every little tid-bit of the recipe. THANK YOU!
I make a mixture of scallions, fresh ginger, and fresh garlic that store in ice cube molds in the freezer. I level up with garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Whenever I make a Chinese dish, those cubes are always ready to use. They would be useful in this dish. Cheers!
I made this recipe for dinner last night and it was wonderful. I had never tried to make orange chicken before and this was as good as any take out i've ever had. Thank you so much for this recipe❤😊
Just as a point of Asian cooking, sesame seed oil always goes on last, actually after you're done cooking and you have removed it from the heat. That is because it is a delicate flavor that the heat will ruin. Think of it like putting pepper on a salad or parmesan on spaghetti. You should try cooking it like that sometime and see if you can notice a difference.
Personally, I don't think the slow cooker will reach a temperature hot enough to degrade the sesame oil. In this case, I might add a teaspoon before and a splash after cooking.
Yes and no, lots of traditional Asian recipes has sesame oil go in at the same time as miran and other oils, as well as the amount he put in I’m sure you can taste it 😂
I just made this, just added a few things (cayenne pepper, madame jeanette paste, shalots and peanut butter). Served it over brown rice. This is AMAZING! Instant staple dish. Thanks from the Netherlands!
I just got in the kitchen Ab I’m 24 after 9 yrs of my lady cooking I made my first 3 meals using your recipes beef and broccoli, jambalaya and red beans and rice this one’s this weekend for sure thanks a lot for the motivation to start my cooking journey I wish I started cooking a long time ago ❤
Made this ladt night. Definitely a keeper. My adult, picky eater, grandson LOVED the chicken. I served with sticky rice. Cooked 3 + lbs, and there were no leftovers. There were 4 of us for dinner, and there was plenty of chicken. Delicious!!!
Made this myself with some pan fried garlic green beans as a side last night. Turned out fantastic. Cannot be understated how good the sauce turned out.
Orange Chicken in the crock pot? An answered prayer! Your Ramen recipe and this one are just the kind of dishes -- take-out at home -- that Ive been needing lately! TY A.B.! I want to eat light and cook quickly, and save money. Take out is expensive, and I want to eat this often! Please keep it coming.
Good video! As a pre-diabetic individual who has to limit his "great dishes" to once a week, this is one I'll be trying! Corn starch and orange marmalade are not great for blood sugar, but the proteins of the chicken will help offset it. Put some healthy veggies with this and it will be great! Thanks for the video!
Just made this for dinner and it's a keeper. The only thing I changed was the orange marmalade. I used Bonne Maman because the 1st ingredient in the Smuckers is high fructose corn syrup. The Bonne Maman uses sugar. Everyone loved it. I will definitely make this again. I may double the sauce ingredients because I had chicken left over but no sauce.
I gotta try this one! I love Orange Chicken, but the store bought and often the restaurant variants are more breading than chicken and I don’t like that. This allows control of that. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this awesome recipe... I can't wait to make it! Also, while watching your video I was experiencing Crock Pot envy. That's the nicest one I've ever seen!
Orange chicken is one of my grandson's favorite foods. He's very picky so finding away to make it ourselves verses buying take out would be awesome. This looks super easy too. Thank you I sure will try this soon
🎉THIS was EXCELENT💯 I have been trying to make this for several months. FINALLY, able to do so.🎉 I couldn't find orange marmalade, no-sugar-added, so I USED PEACH and IT IS DELICIOUS 🙌THANKS AB & FAMILY💞🙏
Made this one after seeing the video for my date night with my husband, my sister and her husband. Was HUGE hit, better than you get in the Chinese restaurant.
I’m a newbie to your channel & love it! Please, don’t assume those of us, who are not as skilled in the kitchen as you are, automatically know the seasons you use (or the quantities). Help us to try your recipe successfully. 🤪
AB I made this and it was amazing. One thing I did different was to add half a teaspoon of orange flavoring. It gives it a nice orange flavor with the orange marmalade.
Thank you for the easy recipe for my crockpot. I love some orange chicken. Your recipe will save me a lot of money from buying from the Chinese restaurants.
Made it today. I did add a bit more liquid with 1/2 cup of soy and water with a few drops of sesame oil cause I wanted more sauce. Amazing!!!! Thank you AB.
Thanks @ab. Your range and variety set you apart. Some folks eat to live, others live to eat. I think we are in the same group. Peace and love to you and yours
The cornstarch is totally gangstah. I used to make corry cheeken with diced chicken breast, and when cooking long enough to get the onions soft, the chicken would end up tough and "overcooked". Coating everything in starch and then browning them, I could cook everything forever and the chicken would stay soooooooooo tender and delicious.
This looks so good and yummy.I have never made this recipe before and can't wait to make this it looks so easy.Thank you for sharing this recipe Looks yummy and delicious yum yum💕

Got this in the slow cooker right now. Making fried rice to go with it. Can’t wait to try.

@@elainefagin513 same here. I save the moist bits left over for sandwich spread. 😂❤ That's what the little freezer containers on the door are for.
Orange chicken in the slow cooker? That looks yummy! 😋
So good!
if you like super tired out chicken and burnt sauce then its all good.
Cheers!

You should do both imo, some in the beginning and then finish it at the end with a few drops.
Didnt get the all ingredients you put in. You didnt name everything
Made this for my family get together this month and my son said this was restaurant worthy it was so good! Thk u so much for sharing this recipe ❤
