Me too saw one with 4.5 rating price was under $200 everything checked out until I looked at the reviews it's all videos of fiberglass and fiberglass contamination. Didn't even know fiberglass would be in a mattress. Looked up fire retardant and rather just have a fire extinguisher. And just another heads up I've seen the gel and infused beds leak wouldn't buy it. I'm going to the mattress store, cuz I never had a problem there
@@crystaleward Thank you so much. I still haven't gotten a mattress. I don't trust foam mattresses. I want to sleep on natural breathable materials. I have this nagging thought that so many people are going to have health issues from memory foam. Every mattress seems to be made of the stuff or a hybrid. @@felipecasey9601 Yeah but those sometimes still have harmful chemicals that are bad for you too. The material has to get treated to be flame retardant. Best to buy a non flame retardant bed.
It doesn't just make little cuts on your skin, it gets in your lungs and damages your lungs. I knew a guy that worked at a company where they used fiberglass and he breathed it in the air daily. He developed lung problems and had to carry an oxygen tank around everywhere because he couldn't breath. Shortly afterwards he died because of the fiberglass ruining his lungs. I think the fiberglass fibers scarred his lungs and he couldn't breath.
So why the fuck sell someone something KNOWING that it’s gonna have problems, and then let it cost 20x more than what you even paid for it, JUST TO FIX THE ISSUE??!!! At this point, I’d rather live in a fuckin cave🤬🤬🤬🤬😤
That type of fiberglass coming out of your mattress - those fiber shards or shrapnel - can be as equally bad as mold, and even more scary than lung-damaging asbestos fibers!!!! You touch the stuff and you can get awful skin irritation. Get that into the lungs, and it is difficult to get out, and you face permanent lung damage. But if any of them lands in places in your home or apartment, it can be nearly impossible to remove!! And just like that you are told to leave the house and you are homeless.
@@CarlosLopez-vp6vr 2 years old. it was never punctured, cut, or torn. i went over the entire thing & it was completely intact. i'm honestly kinda sad tbh. it was a comfy mattress

Zinus memory foam mattresses, all have a fiberglass inner casing under the main cover, it's around all the memory foam for fire protection I guess. I also hear nectar mattresses have it inside they're mattresses too. Surprises nectar would make they're with it, zinus though is the cheaper mattress brand so I'm not surprised with them.
@Brian J The problem isnt the mattress. Its the slip cove. Dont remove it and your ok. Ive owned 6 of them with no problems. I never removed the cover for cleaning.

You have to move its next to impossible to clean up and the longer you stay the more permanent damage you are doing to your body. looking back I would rather go homeless than stay as long as I did.
Ide taken thw cover off mine too, but luckily did it outside on my back porch, I had no idea, but now I'm freaking out grabbing the clothes I had worn while taking the cover off. I didn't even remove the cover & the fiberglass is creeping out
Same here!!!! So I thought something caused that NO. It's the damn mattress it's self.

Thats awful. It should be required by law that they suit up with a separate tank/oxygen source.

That's all they know about so far... Think KMOV should do more research on "flame retardents" in mattresses. It'd be a real eye opener.
