Thanks for the video mate. Helped me sort out the toilet issue today.
Thank you 🙏 I a 50 yr ole lady just finished changing a syphon, not going to lie it was a b***h to get the cistern off but I got there! Quick trip to B&M for a stubby screwdriver!! Three hours!!! Later cistern back on and no leaks 🤪 you are a 💎
Dude you're a lifesaver! I've been waiting 6 months for my landlord to get a plumber out and I've just followed this and it works better than before! Absolute lifesaver 👌🏼🙌
You just saved our lives.... Our toilet stopped flushing this morning and we have relatives coming to stay this weekend! My husband and neighbor watched your video and after a trip to B&Q we had a fully working, flushing toilet! THANK YOU xxxxxxx
Another short and easy-to-understand video. I used this to change the flusher on my main bathroom toilet a couple of years back and then last night, I needed a refresher for ensuite one. Couldn't be easier to understand and appreciate that the video is kept short and to the point.
Very clear description of the process accompanied by very helpful footage of what it is you are describing. Excellent!
This video is awesome - tons of info and very clearly explained. Thanks to you I Was able to replace a leaky drop valve in my cistern - Cheers!
Thank you for being so altruistic, offering those, like me, who like to have a go at household repairs, the knowledge with which to do so. I now feel confident enough to tackle the job, and will be able to save myself a pretty-penny: the cheapest quote I had for this job was £150 plus VAT! Cheers :-)
Brilliant video! Straight to the point, no waffle, really easy to follow, thanks pal!
Fab video! It made taking the cistern off the wall and installing the syphon look so easy. And it was! It took less than an hour. Spotting the valve in the inlet pipe to turn off the water supply was a new discovery. Thanks a million.
Brilliant video pal, just starting my plumbing journey after doing heating all these years, very informatiI’ve 5*
An excellent video. Clear instructions and explanations throughout. No waffle.
Cheers buddy your video just saved me the cost of a plumber wouldn't have even tried without this video
No worries Paul, glad to help!
Same..cheers 😁👍
Same here!
Me two I was having a shit attack over it!!!
Excellent video - very clear and informative. Many thanks
No worries dude!
Thank you for your video, it explains very well and now I can do this myself.
Thanks for that very understandable demonstration, much appreciated mate!
Kev.
Great video. Im doing this exact job tomorrow, so will be following this video. Cheers
Massive thank you - just managed to sort out my toilet in the middle of lockdown :)
Cheers dude. Just what I needed to fix my bog. Legend. Really easy to follow 👍
Fantastic Video! Thanks for the help, worked a treat. Was a bigger getting the old wing nuts off tho. I couldn't get a saw down the back of mine so I ended up snapping the old bracket by effectively bending the back of the toilet!!
Great video easy to follow had my flush sorted in no time thanks
Many thanks - wish I'd seen it earlier! I should replaced the doughnut when I fixed the tank to the wall. I must have disturbed the seal around the pipe which is a relatively loose fit in the hole in the cistern. You need to very careful to keep the pipe of the new syphon unit central in the hole as you tighten it up, or the washer is only just wide enough. The doughnut is a second line of defence in terms of leaking, and mostly a soft cushion for the tank.
Fantastic video - a great help , thank you. One thing I would point out, and it’s not a negative point on this video, make sure you’re siphon fits your cistern tank. My replacement was about 2/3mm wider than the old one, so this resulted in the ball cock not being able to close off properly. A few minor adjustments and it fitted fine. But just wanted to point this out. Great video, thanks again. Saved me a plumber charge for an easy job.
Extremely helpful, clear and we'll explained. Thanks.
Great work, so clear. Thanks!
Great video, very precise and clear... exactly the same toilet as mine - and same fault, so I will be off to the store tomorrow to get the parts.
Unreal video! Replaced the syphon and now the jacks flushes perfectly. But lads and lassies… when he says to tighten things up… tighten them, I didn’t connect the cold feed properly and ended up with high pressure toilet water shooting out at me 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant video though, went exactly as he showed!
Excellent video, just what I needed. Thank you so much❤
Thanks so much for this! Was able to fix my dear old Mum's loo for the total price of £9.46 and an hour's work! Would have had no idea how to approach this if not for your video!
Thanks for sharing this video. Helped me massively 👍🏻
thank you. mucho appreciation. clear concise instructions, and a lovely man .
Great video, helped me change my syphon - Thanks
As a complete amateur this video has made life so simple. Thank you very much.
Top man used your brilliant video to do this job yep and my screws were rusted on as well thank you again
Excellent presentation. Thanks.
Brilliant, super helpful video, thank you
Thank you for posting this!
This video is exactly what I needed, thank you
Brilliant video, just what I needed..... thank you 😀
This is great. My cistern arrangement is detached from the toilet block (connected by a pipe) and it was possible to leave the cistern on the wall. I also tied up the float valve with string so I didn't need to turn the water off or disconnect the water inlet pipe. I used a cup and a sponge to get the water out of the cistern,. This made for a very quick job to remove the syphon and repair it by cutting a replacement diaphragm from a rexel plastic document sleeve. I cut the sleeve leaving two plastic layers in the hope it will last longer. All went back together OK and seems to work fine so far...
After much searching I finally got a video that gave me the full picture. Big thumbs up
Thanks for the vid. Great help!
Brilliant video, no bull, straight to the point and edited well. Even a bit of comedy about holding the camera and tightening the wingnut being difficult. 😂😂😂 Very helpful. ...........just need to do it now .😓
Great video. Can you please explain why the outlet size is so important? All videos seem to show a one size fits all when it comes to the bottom part of the toilets but many flush systems give a range of sizes. Can you please clarify this for us, as i dont want to take my toilet apart and reinstall it just to find that measurement and then buy the correct size.
You were very helpful with your video. I just changed the syphon first time in my life...Follow ur steps :)
I've just finished the job. it went exactly as per your video.
Thanks again.
Stuart
+Stuart York Good man!
Very good demo, thank you
Great and informative video - thank you.
Great video, really well explained.
Very helpful video. Thanks.
Great video, I'm *almost* bold enough to tackle the replacement myself now. One query: are there any issues to consider with selecting the right replacement parts, I'm thinking dimensions, different manufacturers, thread and pipe sizes (&quality?). I guess even if it's nominally "standard" older units may pre-date the standard like metric/imperial standards
Amazing thank you for this❤
This guide worked for me and also pleased to get great service at Platt bridge handyman store
They gave me a new seal so didnt need a full new flushing unit cost me £5 including the new donut clamping kit :-)
I've just changed my first glush syphon following this video, only 1 minor stumbling block (rusted screws, had to grind off) oh and my grips aren't big enough (time to invest in the correct ones) apart from that it went brilliantly, thanks for the help
this is such a good vid easy to understand thought i would have to get a plumber in thanks so much
Thanks, man. I now feel confident in changing my flush valv 👍👌
Superb. Job done. Thanks.
Great video thanks for your help !!
Cheers mate have to do this later with a raised separate cistern.

Nice one! Really helpful!
Thanks for this changed the syphon had to buy a new clamp and didn't even know what this black thing was for didn't have one on originally.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks for all your vids! Quick question, if I just want to replace the wing nuts but not the siphon, do I still need to take the whole cistern off?
Thank you so much for this video. Saved us the cost of getting a plumber out!
thank you for this! 🙏🏻
Amazing video,
Thank you so much my friend.
Just fixed my cistern thanks to you uploading this video and it works better than ever.
Feel free to drop in for a dump any day.
Well that video has really helped me out, because changing the siphon unit is my next job to do. And I now know what parts i need to buy before the cistern is removed. Thanks very much.
No worries Doc!
an excellent tutorial. TY
Super helpful 👍
Awesome!
Going and try this out tomorrow please God 🙏!
Thanks Bro! Awesome Video!
Hi ***** I'm planing to fix my toilet, what is the size of waterpump plier you used in the video?
Thanks!
Thank man! good video.
great little video!
EXCELLENT! Thank you.
Yep this worked. Spot on
A very helpful and easy to follow video. Now I know why the khazi was leaking! Cheers chap.
Lifesaver! Thankyou!
Excellent video, thanks a lot.
+Krupnek Cheers mate!
Amazing
Thank you. I've just saved myself £100 plumbers costs.
Very clear instructions, very good filming that I found easy to follow and do even the hack saw bit.!! Phew that was hard work.
Thank you again from one female who's going to have ago at fitting my new bath next. ((*.*))
Great video and I thought I had it sorted but I have noticed I tiny one drop of water per half hour drip leak coming from the right hand side wing nut it's finger tight. Is it safe to tighten it further with pliers or is the leak more likely to be coming from the syphon seal inside the cistern?
Cheers the Plumbers mate did the trick
Thank you very much
I've found using a massive car sponge to get rid of the small amount of water in the chamber is proper good and doesn't have all the hassle of the donut screws and that. Pro tip there!
thanks that was a great help
hi, need to replace the flushing system of my toilet. how long does it take a seasoned plumber to change it?
Great thanks
good job..........عمل جيد.......معلم
Great video, when i fitted one the fill valve arm caught the plastic seam (where the blue bit joins the black section. I had to file this lip off. Poor design of the syphon unit. Cheers
Succesfully done. A question. With the old flush I have taken out , it looks to me as if all that is wrong with it is the piece of plastic (which forms the flap/seal at the bottom of the plunger) is torn. If I cut another piece of plastic exactly the same size it looks easy to fix on, and the valve will work again ?
Good job thank you.
It would be advisable to replace the syphon with one that comes apart so in the future the diaphragm can be replace without dismantling the toilet
great video ! one question are cistern flush systems a standard size ?
Hi, I changed my toilet Syphon, handle and float valuve with your video. It all works great but when i flush i am getting water coming out from above the wingnut. The water is coming from the couple. Any idea how to fix?
Thanks
Keo.
Brilliant video, only trouble is for me, the screws don't align to the wall anymore. I think they're too highly because of the doughnut. I have tightened the wing nuts all the way- any hints? Thanks again for a great video!
