I traded in my Italian made 92FS for Sig M11 A1 p229 recently and I missed my Beretta 92 almost immediately.
Couple of weeks later I went ahead and purchased Beretta 92X F compact made in USA.
    Couldn't be more happier😀

"You cant carry a full size pistol consealed." I do it all the time.
I'm kinda big at 6'2 262 but people don't have very good situational awareness, or observational skills and I've never ever had anyone in 15 years notice.
    No worries just carry.

I my opinion I have had every 9mm on the market at one time or another and I always come back to my Beretta 92 series. It is so reliable and accurate just really tuff to beat! In all the semi auto guns on the market the Beretta 92 and the Glock 17 are just spot on; two completely different guns but VERY hard to find any thing to compare. Also the CZ 75 and the Browning Hi-Power are top 4 handguns. The Beretta is just sexy to me and the military used since early 80’s for a reason just to “FAIL” in judgement recently switching to the Sig! Atleast they should have went with Sig 226 if any. I believe ALOT of politics and kickbacks had to do with decision otherwise Beretta built them the M9A3 and they chose the plastic Sig?#WTF#Beretta❤️

Has a former law enforcement officer Sgt Deputy Sheriff, you are very good you mirror me perfectly. I carried my Smith & Wesson 686 issued off-duty concealed. We went to the Beretta and I've always carried it off duty. I perfectly agree with the holster retention versus actual atleast level 2 safety. Thank you very much for being so clear. I am constantly having problems with the all these young instructors out there watching UA-cam videos and having so many accidents. Haha one just shot himself in the head a ricochet from a 50 caliber revolver I shoot metal plates from 4 ft. These people are nuts. Good job.

I carry appendix. I’ve found that larger frame handguns are actually more comfortable than my Shield in appendix. Make no mistake the Shield is a fantastic little handgun to carry, but I like carrying my M9A1. It’s just a neat all around pistol. Low recoil, follow up shots are fast. Threw a D-spring in it for the trigger pull and added an extended mag release. Awesome gun. Beretta makes excellent firearms.

I very much perfer a good DA/SA handgun, plus I'm was introduced to handgun shooting with a DA/SA,that being a Walther P38. Then I stepped to Double action revolvers a S&W 66 and later a 19. Here lately I'm been giving very serious consideration to switching back to a DA/SA pistol for ONE key reason. The safety of the design.

As an analology I see with laptops, many people want to thinnest laptop possible but those usually have heating issues and less fragile but it's the cool thing to do. My laptops are designed to run cool and maybe a little thicker but there just all-around more solid and capable. Another good topic Matt! A person should carry what they are most proficient with. You mentioned "fit" ... I've had experience with a couple of shooters that couldn't hit dirt if they were aiming at the ground .. simply because the gun just didn't "fit" them well. Recently, my boss lady (now retired) decided it was time to carry, and asked my advice. We went to the range several times and rented maybe a dozen different guns for her to try - some of them were rented multiple times as we narrowed the field. Seeing as her hands are miniscule, I thought the Glock 42 would be a good FIT. Nope - she just couldn't make it work. Ended up one notch bigger - the 43! After MUCH practice, she is very good with it and has obtained her CCW. Even though she has retired, we still frequent the range on a regular basis!

I agree about it being easy to shoot. Sure it's big, but it's so comfortable to shoot.
If anyone new to shooting is looking for a first pistol, I always recommend a full size pistol. So many people start out with sub compacts with the plan to carry it someday. There's nothing wrong with small guns, I just think a full size is better when first learning.

I'm looking at getting a 92 or M9 or 96 for my first carry gun. Sure it's large, but I have bigger hands and I really don't care to have a gun that I need an extended mag to get my full hand on the grip. Plus, the longer barrel will definitely help ne get used to pistol recoil. I've hunted for most of my life and know my way around rifles and shotguns but pistols not so much. The only pistols I'm aware of my direct family owning is my 22 revolver for plinking and scaring coyotes out of ditches for the 223 to take care of and my dad's two 380 compacts that he has in his car all the time. So I'm not very well versed in pistols, grip, control, sights, etc. and I feel like the longer guns could be easier for me to learn with. Besides, Berettas are just sexy guns.

It can be done, especially in the winter. I carry a full size M&P this time of year very comfortably on my days off, just depends on what your day looks like. I'm a contractor which means I usually need something really small like a Bodyguard 380 in a pocket holster for day to day work carry and there's no way a full size pistol would be practical. If I were retired I would absolutely carry full size everywhere I went.

Williaem00 I carry apendix carry IWB. And wear a t-shirt tucked in, and in (summer) another t tucked out or (winter) a heavy shirt tucked out. The key is to wear loose fitting clothes, nothing tight. Then it's hands off, not playing with or repositioning it. 18 rds of 147 gr can be heavy but managable. But those Underwood 90 gr Xtreme Defender are comfortable. Generally I carry 125 gr HST in summer and 147 gr HST in winter. Dressing around a 92FS can work. Transitioning from DA to SA is no issue for me because I train. The OP is absolutely right, you CAN carry a full size without anyone noticing.

1911’s, and just about any other single stack pistol are actually very easy to conceal comfortably. I carry a Beretta 92 FS myself and the only way to truly conceal it where it doesn’t imprint in such a way that the average person would notice is to appendix carry. I had to have a custom Kydex holster made from mine that had a shield that would keep the safety from rubbing against my torso. Once I had that though, it was gold. I’ve tried carrying this pistol on my backside and in just about every position possible, there’s no way to do so without making it obvious that I have something underneath my shirt

Great video! I legally carry all the time and I've had good luck with a full sized 1911. I look for a thin gun mostly and then for sharp edges. BTW, I love the Beretta as well. My dad was a detective and got the 92FS when it came out and he loved it. Lethal weapon was probably lots of cops went to them along with the M9 contract. I use an M9 as a suppressor host now and I owned a 92 Type M single stack that I wish I still had.

Sick as hell of people saying "Waah, get a Glock 19! That G21," or "that Sig P220 is too bulky, I can't carry one of those!" Nobody should care what everyone else wants, if you do then you've got your work cut out for you. Me? My hands wear XL gloves, no less. So full-sized handguns suit me quite well. Bottom line: Get what YOU want. If anyone wants you to get what they like, tell 'em to buy if themselves! It's YOUR hard-earned money that's being put down on the counter, not theirs. Great job!

Hello Thanks for your video, I agree, I did carry a Sig P226 for many years w/o any issue, but more importantly I agree with the double action for me the double action gives an extra level of safety and give me some peace of mind plus the manual safety (like your 92F) , why are so many people against that is beyond my comprehension. thanks again.

I've learned over the years that the CC goal is to carry the biggest handgun you can comfortably carry. During the worst time in your life should you have to use the pistol, you will almost always shoot much better (hits on target fast) and have more capacity for multiple attackers than if you had one of the little micro or pocket pistols. There are exceptions such as a Sig 938 for example, but I would always prefer to have something like a 92FS/X or M9 in a SHTF scenario.

My edc is either a Smith and Wesson 442 or a Rock Island Armory m 206 (clone of the Colt Detective) carried at 2 O'clock (the most comfortable position for me) in a Remora owb/iwb/pocket holster with reinforced top. I love the comfort and versatility of this holster. Your video challenged me to experiment with my Springfield Armory m1911a1 GI (5" barrel) carried the same way, and I see your point. And a larger gun can be more intimidating to a would-be attacker looking at its business end, which may end the encounter right there and then, doing away with the need to even fire.

Another tip for all you Beretta users I recently learned. When holstering, place your thumb over the hammer and apply a bit of pressure, when the safety is off it prevents the hammer from being cocked if the trigger were for some odd reason to get snagged. Just a little tip.

You need the same license for carry a pocket gun or a full size, you have to go the same legal process if you shoot somebody in self defense, you have to maintain more a pocket pistol than a full size due debris formation in your pocket or purse, in many states you need your gun in a holster no matter the size. Subcompact guns are small, fit bad in most big hands, lack of firepower (magazine capacity), a short barrel delivering lowest velocity that a long barrel, etc.
Another market lie about guns is some "compact" pistols example the Glock19, full grip, has 4" barrel witch is a service pistol with 15 rounds!.
The only reason to carry a subcompact pistol is if you need a backup gun.

Hello, and thanks for the information. I am a security guard and just bought another Beretta 92 for on the job use as an open carry side arm, and was wondering if it would work as an off duty concealed carry weapon. I am a big guy, 6'01" 290lbs and with the gut overhang wasn't sure. Looking at how you have it on the hip more towards your rear than your side, I see it could. There is a police supply downtown that carries all types of holsters and I will have to go down and try. I am glad I saw this as I am a big fan of the 92. I bought one as my first pistol at 21 and I am 42 now. That one is long gone as that one went in a trade to Dad in a cash plus gun deal for a car when I got without wheels one time and had to get to work. He wanted it so bad because I shot it so well and he thought its accuracy in my hands was amazing. When he shot it, it shot low for him, and without trying different ammo with heavier bullets pronounced it a dud and sold it. Then, Clinton's crime bill hit and I couldn't see buying a ten shot 9mm. Somehow getting another after the sunset just went on the back burner. I am so glad I got another 92. I am going to convert mine to a G model next month and in a couple of months get the .22lr conversion.

I love my ruger LCP2 but it is a belly gun akin to a S+W Jframe. Beretta diehard these days. I am over all the data gearheads. Have owned Glocks, Sigs, S+W full frame all are about the same. Beretta is pure love and equal to the all. I enjoyed all the guns, but Beretta 92's have a cool factor that the others don't. If I am not going to sweat a few ounces vs say a Glock 19 I will carry the LCP2. Hell, some days I carry a S+W "snub" 687.

Put an instant on laser like an R5 on your LCP2 and it becomes a much more capable handgun. And a smith snubby isnt a belly gun by any means, it will reach out and do the job at 25-30 yards no problem same as a 4 inch model 10
