  • Beretta 92FS Leather Holster. I purchased this leather retention holster directly from Beretta. If you want a leather holster with retention for a Beretta 92, this is one to consider.

    Nice review. The Beretta made holsters are great. They make a variety in RH and LH. I have several for both the 92 and the PX4.

    Thanks for the review. Yesterday, I purchased a Beretta leather holster for my 92FS, so was interested to hear what you said. I did get it with the snap at the top, for the reasons you mentioned. I figured, since the holster is designed for the 92 series, it should have a good retention, which you confirmed. Now, I'm looking for a leather holster for the 70-series, Beretta 101 (.22LR with long barrel). It will take a lot longer to find that one, since it was discontinued over 30 yr ago.

    What model number is the holster? I looked on the Beretta site and there were a few that looked like the one you demonstrated. I am right handed, which side would I carry on. As you can tell I am new to concealed carry. I guess we all have to start somewhere.
    Thanks in advance for your advice. Very informative video.

    I carry IWB, so retention is not really a factor - by the time I get my belt tight enuf so that my pants aint falling down .... my Glock isn't gonna fall out ... even if I were to stand on me head!

    The lower slot on the Beretta holster is a little to low, makes the firearm cant backwards to far.. I had the Gould & Goodrich that was pretty much the same holster but i had to send it back.. It wouldn't even cross draw right on the weak side because of the location of the lower slot!

    Also anyone know if a Beretta 92fs Centurion will fit in the holster he shows from beretta !? Thanks!!

    • @Peter-976
      @Peter-976 4 роки тому +3

      Yes the Centurion will fit but the barrel won`t go all the way to the bottom of the holster. The Centurion and the full size 92 or 96 are the same size except for the length of the barrel and slide. 4.2" vs 4.9" barrels. Also there are new models of both firearms that can come with a bottom rail for accessories so be sure to find the right model holster for your Beretta. I just ordered a Beretta IWB holster for my 1995 Centurion because they are having a 40% off end of year sale. Got it for $40 plus shipping and tax.

    It's because they're left-handed holsters LOL just kiddin. Some people take pride in the product they put out, I would never let one of my holsters leave with that crappy retention.

    Good video. I'm glad you showed the differences between the two. This makes my mind up on which one to purchase :-) I have one question though: Will the Beretta holster damage or scratch my Beretta? I bought one brand new years back and it's been a safe queen. I would hate to buy this holster and the first time I took my gun out of it, my gun would have a ton of scratches and blemishes :'-(

      @@dallasparty316 No sir I haven't ordered it as of yet. I guess I was just being paranoid about scratching my gun up and wanted some info on the holster :-) I know scratches are unavoidable if you holster your weapon but I didn't want to get a holster that would scratch the bejesus out of my gun the first time I used it lol :-) As soon as this Pandemic is over and the mail goes back to normal, I will order it. Be safe and thanks for replying to my question!

      I liberally apply a coating of renaissance wax to the inside of ny holsters and make sure they stay clean on the inside. What causes scratches is dirt getting in the holster, not the holster itself. Keep things clean and your gun will evenly wear on the edges over thousands of draws with no major scratching on the sides. This is why I dont like kydex holsters because any tiny bit of dirt or dust or grit WILL scratch your gun up, even microscopic particles.

    I got the beretta 92 hybrid holster made from kydex and leather backing and two belt clips iwb. I've been trying to break it in but it doesn't feel like it fully seats and makes drawing and bolstering somewhat difficult. Any ideas?

    • @PedalStrapped
      @PedalStrapped 4 роки тому +2

      some leather needs some stretching. it'll be hard to force a leather to stretch but one method is to get the leather side of the inside of the holster wet with room temp water, let it seep into the surface as much as possible (very difficult with sealed/coated leather surfaces but worth a shot) and then, with your firearm wrapped in plastic wrap to keep it from getting wet, leave it in the holster for 24 hours. this will let the firearm apply pressure to the leather and force the leather to break in a little faster. this method is usually applied to the inside/non coated part of leather but thats probably not the side facing your gun in this instance.

    Or just make your own. Very simple and easy to do, not making a saddle for the queens horse. Design your own holster and build it the way you want it for less than the cost of one you don't like.
