The only cure for claustrophobia is to go out...in the cold ass rain. The biggest gun lesson I've learned up here is from a NW hunting forum. "Wax your guns." I use a 1965 dated Win 94 for hunting. The worst receiver metal ever would surface rust in a day in the rain. I tore it down and waxed up everything after the oil, using toothbrushes to force it and then buff it everywhere. It works great. A surface wax job is part of all my routine blued gun cleaning now. Protects the metal and the wood. A better solution is stainless and plastic. lol

I've watched every one of Paul's videos but this one I just watched for the third time.
Hickock 45 is another good channel, but Hickock only films from one angle. We only see him shoot from behind. Striker Fired I agree 100%. Just found his vids about 3 days ago. No bullshit. No fluff. Straight to the point. Top notch delivery and presentation. By far the best gun channel on UA-cam. Light years away from someone like the Yankee Marshall. That dude is a joke.
This dude acts like a square but has a very impressive resume, makes total sense with everything he says and is a first grade badass. Maybe that's why I can't stop watching.
Many fine quality 9mm pistols available today and have tried several. 92FS is still my favorite -- soft shooting and most reliable pistol design I've found. Good video. Thanks
The Beretta 92f is hands down one of the best semi auto handguns ever made it's safe for a beginner to learn on and accurate for an experienced shooter it will always be in my arsenal and what I use to teach someone to shoot a semi auto on
I took your advice with my 92FS. I was able to shoot a 1 inch group at 15 yards! Like night and day. I just needed the right tips. I'm really excited about this. I went from hating this gun, to being amazed at its accuracy. I did the double action, single action drill as well. I was slightly more accurate with my M&P 9C, just more practice with it. Now I need to hone my skills with my M&P Body Guard .380. I try, but just cant seem to get consistent groups with it or my Beretta 950 Jetfire .25 ACP. Once again....THANKS! You have taught me more than all the YOU Tube channels combined.
@@larryeckerdt9750 can confirm. I have facial hair and tattoos. My finger moved to the dislike button subconsciously but I caught myself at the last moment. Need more trigger discipline.
I just got a Beretta 92FS and really appreciate this video. It seems like most videos are, “Hey, you just bought a Beretta 92FS! Now let’s start ripping out parts and ordering stuff from Wilson Combat!” Paul just instructs you how to use the gun and use it well as is with no fancy modifications.
Dry, he was ankle deep in rain for part of that. I enjoy the lecture portion of these vids as much as the shooting parts because of Paul's deliberate easy vocal delivery. No need to shout or cuss to prove a point.
I think one of the reasons (Other than my love for the Beretta 92) I keep watching his videos is EXACTLY that.. There is no bluster or other crap, he doesn't equip with the latest fashionable tacticool toys or even the latest fashion in armchair warrior garb... He teaches and demonstrates in a manner that allows the knowledge he is sharing to be the focus and his skill backs it up.
Picked up my first Beretta a few weeks ago, a 92FS Brigadier. Once again, I find myself seeking your guidance and teachings. Miss you a lot, Paul. Rest in peace.
I just bought an Italian LEO trade-in 92SB and this was one of the first videos I looked to for help. Even after he's gone he's still educating us. God bless you, Mr. Harrell.
Good info, I've used the M9 for 20 years and could write my name with it. It's alot better than people give it credit for. I would recommend your video to anyone wanting to improve.
Paul has excellent videos and I LOVE his intro where he lays out his repertoire. Unlike a lot of UA-cam "trainers" who focus more on their look (tattoos and beards) than actual fundamentals that need to be practiced. Paul is the only trainer I have ever seen that has pushed practicing the first shot drill with the 92/96 series. Bravo Paul.
I have been a handgunner well over 40 years. My platform of choice had always been single action hammer fired auto loaders. About 10 years ago, I chose to enter this century with the goal to master decock hammered and striker fired weapons. Very good information here. It took me a thousand rounds to learn what I watched today. I will be mixed snap caps and decock drill my next trip to range.
And here we have another hit single called Sheeboom, Sheeboom, Sheeboom, by Paul Harrell and the Soda poppers. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try this with the LCP! Top notch, Sir, Top notch!
Thanks Paul for demonstrating this technique with the Beretta which will help me a lot in shooting better. Though I have shot a lot of guns through the years, I don't know it all as I am learning a lot from just watching your videos.
The fact that this is yet another Paul Harrell production alone demands a thumbs up (which I gave before I even hit play), but the things touched on in this video I feel apply not only to the 92FS/M9 but all DA autoloaders. As a matter of fact I have this bookmarked because I plan on re-watching it repeatedly. Good stuff here...great job sir!
I have owned my 92fs since 1994 and love it. I was recently contemplating selling it to get something smaller, but after this video, I am looking forward to taking it to the range. The best and most informative instructional video I have ever seen. Most guys with gun skills spend most of the video showing off, but Paul teaches you how to be as good as he is. Bravo sir...
This is the first video I've seen of yours. You're very well spoken and informative without being redundant. You've earned a subscriber, sir. Great video!
Excellent advice. Every time I watch I learn something. As a fan of the 92FS I really appreciate the advice. Thank you again for taking the time to make these.
As a career LEO, military and civilian, I carried a variety of handguns, from M1911 to 92FS, and the 92FS was the best overall handgun I ever carried. It continues to be my favorite auto loading handgun of all time.
Hands down the best and most informative video I’ve ever seen on properly shooting the 92 and M9. Still having a little trouble getting that support hand to work properly for me as I’m a lefthanded shooter but I’m getting there. Thanks Paul!
I really enjoy your videos. I'm a fan of the Berreta. I dry fire practice with snap caps every day and it does pay off at the range. The Beretta is from my experience a very accurate firearm. Keep up the good work!
I can't believe he thanks us for our patience at the end... Thank you Sir, for your patience to make this video for us! This was a privilege to watch!! Paul's legacy will live on forever!
Thank you Paul and crew. Always a pleasure to learn from your experience. I personally bought 2 Beretta pistols based on your teachings. They are excellent pistols. Thank you Mr. Paul Harrell for all that you have done for others. You will be greatly missed by many of us.
Paul, the reason I put you at the top of my list of video gun consultants was your pragmatic sense of humility. You communicate well, and that itself covers a multitude of presentation sins which a ton of UA-camrs are guilty of. In fact, there are only three of you whose advise really is worth a damn...and with the except of our own preferences, I imagine you'd agree with at least one of my picks. As usual, love your channel, hang in there, Paul!
Your handling of the Beretta, and teachings, are absolutely superb! Would enjoy seeing this kind of a take on the CZ75 format (safety/non-decock). Thank you for all your work, as I've said before...the best on the tube.
I've always been enamored by the look of this gorgeous pistol since I was a kid, playing the Resident Evil games. Glad to see it's an appreciated pistol by experienced shooters.
Paul, I carried a Beretta 96FS for 20 of my 30 plus years in Law Enforcement. I considered myself to be pretty proficient with it. Your 12 minute video put me to shame. Where have you been all my life. I cant wait to get to the range and work on my new M9 the way you are in this video. I also love your enthusiasm for the Beretta M9 /92's . Its been a 30 year love affair for me.
The same good old basics. We put coins or Go stones on the rifle barrels and dry fired it again and again trying not to drop them, to practice the trigger pull. Wish we got the chance to do the same with the M9 but we didn't, so my accuracy was a dumpster fire. I am amazed by what you can do with the M9. Marvelous.
I’m super new to firearms. I bought my first gun ever 1 month ago at age 29. I have my intro to handguns course this weekend. I’ve been watching videos to get some knowledge beforehand. This is by far the best video I’ve seen with so many little tidbits that are gems of knowledge. Thank you so much!
Brilliant! I now see eactly what you mean and will practice with my Beretta 92fs Centurian, inclusive snap caps at my next range visit. I do appreciate your very clear teaching methods and contribution to educating people like myself. Thanks!
The Beretta 92FS/M9 is my favorite combat handgun of all time. It took me a while, but I finally realized that I actually prefer DA/SA pistols to striker fired pistols. My shooting skills have actually improved since moving back to the DA/SA platform after nearly two decades of using the Glock (and similar designs) almost exclusively. A DA/SA trigger may take more time to master, but when you have a really good DA/SA trigger like the Beretta, once you get it mastered you have something special.
I've been curious about hammer fired style pistols & it's more safety oriented nature so I purchased a CZ P-09 on sale ($460) to cut my teeth on a hammer style pistol on the cheap since I've had no experience with hammer fired pistols. Once I master that, then I'll treat myself to that all metal Berreta beaut ( hopefully can find a good deal on one) & probably also a more compact all metal CZ P01 to my quiver🇮🇹 🇨🇿
I live in oregon and own a beretta m9. One if the best videos iv ever seen for using the pistol. I included the Otegon part cuz I cant tell you how much respect I have for a guy who will go out in the pouring rain with a jacket and get the job done. Let alone when he could have put up a gazebo or come out on a different day.
Without a doubt this is the best video by far for shooting the Beretta! I have struggled mightily with my 92A1 to get comparable accuracy from it that I get from the .357 revolvers, I know the gun is capable of the accuracy it's the loose nut behind the trigger that is the problem. Part of the problem is treating it as I do the rest of my sidearms instead of a different weapon that needs to be practiced differently. I used to carry my Hi-power in condition 1, cocked and locked, one of the reasons I don't use it as a carry weapon anymore. I spent decades training with it and as single action only sidearm I was in the "throw away" the first round camp, that's going to be changing. I especially love the snap cap round drills, I have practiced that extensively with my .357s and never considered it with the Beretta, I will be including that in all of my 9mm drills. Thanks a bunch for the tips, really appreciate you taking the time to do it!!

Striker Fired I agree 100%. Just found his vids about 3 days ago. No bullshit. No fluff. Straight to the point. Top notch delivery and presentation. By far the best gun channel on UA-cam. Light years away from someone like the Yankee Marshall. That dude is a joke.
No need for facial hair or tats, just keep on giving good advice. I am NRA instructor and refer students to the channel.
Good to know, Bob!
Bob Bossi whats wrong with facial hair.
Yeah at least he's not.a balding pussy like Bob
This dude acts like a square but has a very impressive resume, makes total sense with everything he says and is a first grade badass. Maybe that's why I can't stop watching.
the last first grader i'd ever want to start a fight with...
salmon taco I thought the same thing lol
Technically, males are square on a pedigree chart 😁
those who have the right to brag, very very rarely do.
And he is a certified dentist assistant
Many fine quality 9mm pistols available today and have tried several. 92FS is still my favorite -- soft shooting and most reliable pistol design I've found. Good video. Thanks
About to get my first, and I'm pretty excited
@@bwing411 In my view, Beretta 92's being sold today are best Beretta has ever offered. Triggers are crisp with a fast reset.
@bwing411 how do you like it? I have a Turkish-made clone like he's using the 92c and I love it!
The Beretta 92f is hands down one of the best semi auto handguns ever made it's safe for a beginner to learn on and accurate for an experienced shooter it will always be in my arsenal and what I use to teach someone to shoot a semi auto on
Sir to me you are the best shooting instructor on UA-cam.
GREAT! I'm glad this video helped. I also have a S/W Bodyguard and I can't shoot it worth a damn. It's a good pistol, just not good for me.
I'm baffled that you have anyone that gives your videos a "thumbs down". I find them interesting, informative and well thought out. Thank you.
@Eva Ivy
And a few misguided followers ! 😊
Haters are always going to hate.
It’s guys with a lot of facial hair and tattoos...,:)
The best M9, 92FS video ive seen so far. Thanks for the great education 👍
So dry... so detailed and analytical.
Subscribed.
I cant believe this this couldnt be me I am NOT that smart to use such big words I think FIE is crap I know better then 2nd question MR Paul
"I dont have nearly enough tattoos or facial hair for that" is the comment that won me over. Made me chuckle.
Thank you for your service.
Well... Now every time i shoot a gun im gonna say "shaboom" in my head.. Thanks Paul
Shaboom, Boom Boom Boom....
I prefer "Ka-boom" 🙂
I just gave this a whirl at lunch. Works amazingly well. It brought my DA shots in line with my SA shots. Thanks for the tip Paul
Obviously you should say, "Pew Pew."
Well, after two Shabooms, you've got: Da, Da, Da, Da,...……………… (for those that know the song) :D
Harrell.
This dude apologizes for loading a magazine faster than I do when he's in a downpour and not looking. I love it!
Well done Paul. Your explanations of not only what you do, but why you do it, make you the best instructor on the internet.
Staging the trig in the SA mode is forbidden by an awful lot of instructors (for combat shooting)?????
Good info, I've used the M9 for 20 years and could write my name with it. It's alot better than people give it credit for. I would recommend your video to anyone wanting to improve.
Good informative video. I carried a 92FS while working as an armed security guard in LA during my younger days. Now retired, I still have a 92F.
I watch this video over and over out of respect for best Beretta teacher I have ever seen. Rest in Peace Paul.
One of the best, absolutely best videos on this subject!
Bravo Paul.
I had never seen the 92fs explained this way, expecially with useful drills to help compensate for its traits. Well done and thanks. Cheers!!
This is the video i always come back to. My favorite one. Rest well and thank you.
I was researching on buying the 92FS and came upon this video. Paul may not be with us physically but his teachings live on.
And here we have another hit single called Sheeboom, Sheeboom, Sheeboom, by Paul Harrell and the Soda poppers. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try this with the LCP! Top notch, Sir, Top notch!
lol!
Sh-Boom by the Chords
I love his sense of humor and dedication to the art of shooting!! Definitely the very best firearm channel out there!! Thank you so much Paul!!
So, not only do you have the credentials, but you are also very well spoken and deliberate. Very well done sir! I love your channel‼️
God Bless…
FWIW you were spot on in regards to the 92. One of the best handguns of all time
Thanks Paul for demonstrating this technique with the Beretta which will help me a lot in shooting better.
Hey Paul, I just wanted to say "Thanks man!" ALL of these drills made me an absolute TACK DRIVER with this pistol.
This was my first video knowing you Paul, thanks for everything. Rest in peace.
I still cant believe he's gone. The worlds a worse place without you Paul, Godspeed.
And this is why paul is among the very best.
I just saw this for the first time...EXCELLENT PRESENTATION! Your knowledge and expertise are clearly on display here...many thanks!
Watching Paul blind-load an M9 mag in the pouring rain as he tells you how to shoot is a powerful image post-death.
Just bought a 92 mostly because I just wanted to be like Paul, thanks for the memories.
Picked up a Beretta M9A1 22 a few days ago. Paul is still teaching me something new. Thank you Paul.
I remember watching this video right before I made the decision to purchase my 92FS. Miss you Paul. Rest easy man.
I always heard everyone talk crap about them in the Corps but I loved mine. Qualified expert with it many times. Great pistol.
I just picked one up and it shoots amazingly......I'm a bigger dude so I like a big framed gun anyways....... it feels more natural in my hand.......
You will be missed, Paul
Holy cow! Are you standing in pouring rain to do this video?! My god, give yourself a break, brother!
That's typical of ex-military guys (not stopping for bad weather). No head cover either. Hardcore and it makes for more realistic training.
I Filmed this at the coast. If I waited for the rain to stop I'd never get anything done.
Miss you Paul just picked up a 92fs and a t shirt to honor you ! Thank you Roy for everything you do I hope you and your family are feeling better
I learn something every time I watch one of his videos. Every time.
Marvelous.
I always feel like I learn something every time I watch your videos. Nice work!
Producing a video Rain or Shine is Dedication!
Hal right? Downpour, wow!
Well, it IS OREGON!
He's a marine vet. If it ain't raining it ain't training
The 92 FS is one of the most accurate and most reliable 9mm gun ever been manufactured.
