I wish these would get remastered in HD. You can't let these pieces of history fade.
You know it's going to be good when the video *starts* with Lance telling someone to get out of here.
I'm from TN, this is the wrestling I grew up watching!
Louisville Kentucky and Evansville Indiana too
LOVE IT THE BEST
THIS is the Jerry Lawler many remember!
Before the NWO ran roughshod over the WCW, there was the craziness that was Memphis Wrestling.
This brawl just guaranteed a sell out at the Mid-South Coliseum.
Wow that was classic
That was good.
Haha all those guys ran by that steel chair at least 20 times 😅
Better than anything in the WWF.
3:15 ....Lance rang the bell to let the guys know the segment was over?
That’s what I thought too
Actually, it's because the Japanese team got the pin and the tag titles.
@lawlersarmy You are so right!
In the thumbnail I honestly thought it said Bret Hart. Lawler conducted two intense legendary industry changing vendettas with two unrelated legendary guys named Hart. And did so about a decade or more apart from each other!B.W.
🤔
Action!
E C dub! E C dub! E C ....no wait.....this isn't a chaotic mess....it's a bunch of storylines dovetailing into a climax of a wrestling show. I can follow what's happening. I'm emotionally invested in a 3 minute clip more than I have been on any 2 hour wrestling show in over 10 years. I love youtube.
Where are the Andersons at? Under the masks!
Remember, this was back when Hulkamania war running wild.
Leo: Beg to differ. Hulkamania hadn't even hit The AWA when this happened in 1981. The big news that year was Ric Flair winning the first of 16 World Championships with a very controversial victory over Dusty Rhodes in Kansas City.B.W.
I see that the Gibson Brothers (Ricky and Robert) were there. This was pre-Rock and Roll Express days. Ricky would later come to Jim Crockett Promotions in 1986-87 as Ricky Lee Jones. Few people knew that they were brothers. Sadly, Ricky Gibson is no longer with us.
Frederick: I am so glad that you mentioned that. A few years after Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson became hugely popular while Rick worked the mic as few ever have Robert translated the interviews in Sign Language so his Mom and Dad back home could get their message. One of the really cool and heartfelt things I ever heard of.B.W.
Ah! The good old days of Memphis Wrestling! Too bad we can't have it like this today instead of the WWE & TNA. No wonder I don't care much for today's so called wrestling.
Everybody fighting inside and outside the ring.
@lawlersarmy - I'll second that. :)
total mayhem
excellent, Tojo didn't take much off those kendo shots, he was known to be stiff in the ring (see the Jeff Jarret beating).f
