Memphis wrestling had some legitimate tough guys back in the day.. Tojo was a well respected and very powerful member of the Japanese Yakuza plus The Dream Machine and Bill Dundee did a lot of work for a local gangster that owned several night clubs in Memphis and around the south...
Danny Owens?
These guys were taken bumps in this one...welcome to Saturday morning Memphis wraslin.
Tojo looked like a teddy bear, but from all i have read, he was a legit bad ass
And that's what wrestling SHOULD be all about....perfect.
Troy Grahm was never a great worker but by god he was a hard worker and once he got on the mic look out. Loved the whole dream machine thng.he was talkn southern jive to southern ppl and we loved it. As a kid I was such a mark for this guy.
1:25 security guard all out in the way just smiling at the scene. Knowing he was back stage with them and they were all cool.
🤣😂
Tojo actually made Dundee look tall.
Wayne Ferris later became the honky tonk man
My ol' daddy just called him "MOTE-toe."
Wish he had used the wooden shoes 😕
alot you know about Tojo he was former marine who actually taught hand to hand combat, in his day could probally whip the entire WWE locker room
roncarl you’re wrong
He taught judo to the marines n was in the core
The Memphis stuff was always a lot of fun.
This is wrestling n the good old days. A simple story a good angle a good match. Simple planning and the crowd was eating it all up plus Lance Russell simply being the best announcer n the buisness. No great buildup just guys with passion for there job.
Good old days? A bunch of guys in awful shape stumbling around the ring.
@@frankcabanski9409 better than the shit they have nowadays by far.
@@frankcabanski9409 ......
It takes you 2 & a half hours just
to watch "60 Minutes', doesn't it ??
Tojo moved around that ring like a cat. He was such a pro
Wow, such a great show and no audience. I hope they got good TV money, they deserved it!
Did the referee reverse the
decision and give the belts
back to Dundee ???
8:10 Dream Machine Dream Machine
Face Turn Face Turn Dream Machine
@alexcoj18 You got that right ....and the only reason i DID ( meaning i dont anymore ) watch WWE was for Jerry The King Lawler
Farris was a whimp a big snatch long live Lawler and dundee
Tojo fought a mattress once
Didn't the mattress kick out?
Did this Dundee guy go on to become Hornswoggle?
Nope.
Hart can sell his ass off
Dundee was in ridiculously bad shape.
