@@jeansioufi9046Rafa hadn’t even dropped a set to Stan going into that match. Nadal was injured from the warmup.
And anyways, the match stats and match itself clearly show the quality was not high at all 😂 Nadal served 40% first serves in in the first set and both had far higher unforced errors than winners. Nadal won the third set while barely moving at all because Wawrinka was so nervous on the verge of his first slam.
“Peak Nadal” is extremely misleading. He was injured, and for anyone at all skeptical of the injury, it was probably Rafa’s worst grand slam final performance of his career.

Horrific shorts? Unlikely. Different maybe. Actually they should try borrowing those shorts. Stan is the man. Playing under Roger's shadow for a long time as compatriots, he stepped up and owned his game. And that backhand wow! Thanks for featuring Stan.

Ridiculous take. In his peak (2013-17) he won 3 slams and 1 Masters. In that same span Nadal won 5 slams, Djokovic won 7 slams, Murray won 2 but with more M1000, Olympic Gold, and a Tour Finals win. So even at Wawrinka’s peak he was arguably the 3rd but probably 4th best player in the world.

Rafa managed to stay longer and gave in 2011 and 2013 Nole a run for his money but he was way past his prime. Roger's peak was 2004-2007 and Rafas was 2008-2010. Nole missed all of that.

Djock has never beaten any of the best when the best were in shape. If there is someone who is not mentally disabled and has skills, they always win. As Sinner now last. But no he never beat Fed when he was at his best. Being even is not being the best. he had no chance against Stan here and completely expected. He never wins over the best. But he wins when the best are injured or out of shape at all. I can't stand someone who stands waiting for the ball and never sees the opportunities to strike. All he has is physical and wins on the other is so pathetically weak and lets him get the positions all the time. You shout at such crappy players. He can't even meet the ball but always stands waiting and his technique and game are so ugly.
