Quick question, I'm dipping my toes in doing electrical diagnosing on my car. What battery pack would you suggest to do this? I'm not immediately coming up with an obvious battery pack I could just pick up from the store and don't know exactly how I would go about using my car battery. Or you can just swap around identical relays, and if the problem moves, then you know the relay is bad. Usually the relays are not the problem with most automobiles.
If the button doesn’t engage and no light indicator on dash can that be from no power at the rear grid? Has someone change the button and it was still the same. He tested different things, checked fuses and relays. Said no power at rear grid and would have to,change the rear window to get it to work? I’ve had a leak in the trunk for around a year I’ve been trying different things to fix it without luck. Still getting wet somewhere, but can’t find source? Can a leak I trunk cause rear defrost to have no,power at the grid? Do wires run I. Trunk for it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 😊
My 2015 Corolla rear defrost only that doesn’t work. The mirrors are working though. It’s the same switch. I checked the fuse and it’s good. I did not check any relay. I saw on the cover « Defr 50 amps »
Hi I just found your channel and I'm so happy I did as I have a very similar car to yours, I have a 2011 subaru impreza 2.5i and I really need some help. Today as I was driving my check engine light came on which isn't all that unusual for my vehicle but when I checked the codes I got c0057 and c0042, they have to do with the "vehicle dynamics control" and ABS module but its upwards of 1000$ to fix and I'm hoping it's something smaller than that. I did give my engine bay a quick wash today but I made sure to stay away from the wires and let everything dry thoroughly. And i also got the code p0304 but I just need new spark plugs and I can't imagine that would effect my VDC. Would you happen to know anything that could help as I'm really in a bind financially right now and could use some help. Thank you so much and keep up the great content.
I suspect it's due to washing the engine bay. C0057 is a communication failure with the ECM. Subaru has a large connector on the passenger side engine bay that connects the ECM to every single engine control system (the sensors). Hopefully it will clear up after a few days.
I have a 2009 Lincoln mkz and I'm a bit confused. When I turn on my rear window defroster I hear the relay click but it doesn't work. I would think that if the relay clicked there would be a connection. What is wrong? Any clues? Oh yeah. And the light comes on too.
Mine stays on until I use something else electrical in the car and then I can shut it off that would be the same thing right? It's like it won't let me turn it off until the power fluctuates

Would a regular 9v battery work?

Check the tabs and wires on the rear window, also is your window tinted?
