Extended warranty didn’t cover this because they had to “replace entire back windshield”, gonna try this cause I’m sure that’s all it needs. Thanks for all the details!
Great video, just wish you would answer the questions in the comments. I just purchased a used vehicle and found nearly all 17 grid lines broken near the ground side rail. I am wondering if there is enough material in the bottle to repair all 17 lines?
How is it holding up after a year? Does the paint wipe off if you clean the window with alcohol as a degreaser? What about if you use a glass cleaner. Thanks in advance and Great video BTW.
I know this video is old but what if you scraped the grid. I have an 08 ford escape and a piece of furniture while I was moving scraped the grid. It's like one big stick on piece. Everything I find is quick fixes of the copper but mine is all one piece. I couldn't find any parts online
This is only for hatch back cars, it doesn't work very well for fixed window sedans. Not to mention you are only using it in a few small parts its not enough paint to do even a quarter of a window. It's near impossible to masking tape up a grid in a sedan. Only get this if you have a hatchback and a couple small spots to mend. This is not a fool proof solution and if you use the template you will have over paint and it will look terrible.
Beleza amigo!! Sou do brasil e estou precisando desse produto!! Obrigado pelo video!!!

I like your energy, great job 👏
Per the instructions, "If you can feel a teensy bit of warmth, you have done a successful repair job."
Great video, thanks!
Great video as always. Appreciate the information as I’m sure it will come in handy some day.
Thanks brother. This was very helpful.
Hey brother, i have a tinted rear windshield, so can u apply paint over tint or I have to remove tint first.
I don't think you can apply it over the window tint.
@@homebuiltshop so do I have to remove tint first? Or any method so i dont have to remove tint.
You need to be able to get to the grid lines in order to patch them up. I don't know of any way to do that if the tint is covering them.
thanks for the video :), do you know if it's possible to buy just the conductive paint . from a local store ?
I'm not sure. You probably can but I don't know what it might be called or who makes it.
@@homebuiltshop thanks for the reply,🙂
Very useful information. Many thanks, Leftie! Cheers, Dave (also a leftie).
Yay Lefties! lol.

Can you tint back window after use this product?
If I have tint on my rear window, do I have to peel it off?
You do need to be able to get to the actual grid lines so you'll have to remove the tint. It stinks but there's no way to get to the lines without.
Thank you. Most helpful.
Hello there. I've checked all my defrost lines from the start point. But my 4th line has only 0.5 volta where as others are 12v

How many line can you fix it with this small paste?
Do I need to unplug the cable first?
It might be easier if you do.
No as long as it's not turned on inside the vehicle. Some people has had success with super glue
is there within a certain temperature & humidity this should be applied at????
at least 10 degrees celsius, I think
Excellent job
where to get the tester light from?
Harbor Freight or any auto parts store. Home Depot/Lowe's, etc. It's a very common tool.
Is that a conductive glue of some sort?🤔 Wonder how much current can it handle
it is not glue, it is varnish. The one here i don't know, but you can find the datasheet on the constructor site.
Very Nice explain
Thank You!
great video thanks a lot
Nice to know.
Really cool!
What if I have tints?
Mine has tint. The tint goes around the connector, at least in my case.

You should build some burnt flags
I have something like this on my list I want to get to.
Home Built Workshop I build them but think it would be cool for others to see and to see how others build them
You have a brain well done.
Damn. Mines tinted

I cringed a little at 1:25
Great work though. Solid video.
