The Doors channel is the official UA-cam home of classic Doors live performances, The Doors albums, and contemporary performances and content honoring The Doors featuring John Densmore and Robby Krieger.
With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture.
The Doors’ arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.
The Doors were and still are the most unique and original Rock band ever.
😬🥱
@Let Your LIGHT Forever Shine I said ROCK BAND!!!!
Robby is such a chill man!! ❤️❤️
God bless Robby Krieger
Nothing exists, God is an illusion to put our human self-awareness onto perspective.
@@user-hk8yp7cw1v Nothing exists...? Pinch yourself or start cutting off parts of your own body, you won't be long in admitting defeat! Also, reality is completely SUBJECTIVE to each and every one of us, you CANNOT tell me what my reality is! Only an egotistical fool would!
Robbie is a living treasure!
It's Robby not Robbie.
@@raysmith1630yeah, he's great too.
Robby is always a good sport. Even though the clip is about Jim, if it weren't for Robby we would never know who Jim is. His guitar playing made the Doors, just like Rays organ and Johns drums!
Not to mention Robby wrote Light My Fire. That put The Doors on the map!
If it wasn't for Robbie, we would never know who Jim was? Laugh my ass off. Your high. 50 years after Jim's death they are still asking Robbie about Jim. 50 years after Robbies death they will still be talking about Jim Morrison. The one and only. Note the first time Robbie heard the doors on the radio the song was Break on through. Written by Jim.
I think you have that backwards. If it wasn't for Jim Morrison no one would know who the other three guys were.
If they hadn't come together to make The Doors, we never would have know any of them. We might have known Jim through his poetry though.
It was Ray meeting Jim that set off the process of becoming The Doors. They brought John and Robby in. Once they were in, the band altogether made the band what it was. Can't replace any of them and still have the band.
I was so happy to hear that just before he died, Freddie Mercury saw a rough cut of “Wayne’s World” where they sing “Bohemian Rhapsody” in the car and he loved it.
Freddie Mercury is so f#&*ing overrated.

Oh really? How lovely.
Good to see you Robbie.

The smiles of Robby owww
He is a beautiful soul 🙏🌼
I love Robby Krieger. Been listening to his book, it’s fantastic, funny, revealing, honest. I’m so happy that he and John have been lucky enough to live on and continue to spread the stories of The Doors.
I dont mind the reactions! However I do wish they would just do more interview type conversations. Robby was there man. Robby is one of the doors. Robby has a lot to offer and I feel doing it this way isn't the best way to share what it meant to be part of that tribe during that time.
both! I love seeing the person behind the music, his personality....what makes Robby, well Robby!
Agree. So, I am buying Krieger's book, right away.
Once I heard The Doors they were like parents to me. 1st heard them when I was about 13. 1980
I'm really glad the Doors UA-cam channel is actually active.. whoever thought of this, nice work, it's genius.. the more Doors content out there, the better.. just hearing from John and Robby is great.. Doors are still alive, she cried!
Robbie the Man. Respect!
Robby not Robbie.
Total respect ✌🏻🏴🎸
I bet Jim would have loved this clip, too.
Your book was fantastic Robby; smashed it out in a week and loved every word! You’re a beautiful spirit, an amazing, unique talent, and an influence to many a guitarist including myself. Thank you for existing. Peace.
Last of a great breed. God bless you Robbie.

I love that people can see his personality
Awww, my heart. When he said 'I hope those people who were 27 when they died that they're that way forever'. He is such a sweetie. It was funny also when he said 'Well, in that case, we're f&_$ed'. He has a strong, very earthy wit. Never change, Mr. Robbie 💗🌵
*Robby
He's my hero. A real person
I'm 41 and the doors have been my favorite band since I was about 16. One of those one in a billion bands. Amazing unique guitar playing(for a rock band) by Robby. Amazing and unique keyboarding(for a rock band) by Ray. Amazing and unique(for a rock band) drumming by John. Then just an amazing poetic and amazing singer. All 4 come together to make pure unique gold. The reason I said "for a rock band" is because I remember reading about John being into jazz, Robby into a few things outside of Rock, Ray also seemed to be into multiple differing things but they all came together and made one hell of a rock band.
Very cool.... mellow Robbie
Amazing guitarist.
Thank you Mr Krieger. 🙌🙌🙌
Love you, Robbie Krieger!

I love how Robby is putting out so many videos nowadays!
Could he make a video explaining his picking technique? Especially on the more electric based songs like
Break On Through and Roadhouse Blues?
Look around on UA-cam. Robby has a video lesson for " Road House Blues" . It's really good!
Great book Robby!!!! The best yet! Just finished it.
God i love to watch Robby talk about stuff
Classic DOORS 🖤
Robby you are a great musician! I had a similar background with classical guitar and your music was and is an inspiration to me... Love all your work!
Thanks for giving us tidbits of insight Robby...this is fun. Not just about Morrison though. Many of us are guitar players who were YOUR fans. haha
I love every member of the Doors, I have so much respect for what they did and what they were able to conjour for the seekers like myself. There is beauty that lies outside the normal and mundane 5 senses we all have!....
If/when life gets too much, kickback and fire on the Doors and remember that there is much, much, much more to existance than just this one life!
Peace!
Haha?
Love Robby.
I've been a fan for 55 years... that's like a century!
Whoever runs this official channel, you have right in front of you the LEGEND, two legendary musicians, please, ask them questions not only about Jim! This is not good. Here I understand that it was the topic to discuss, but i think if they allows you to ask them, maybe you could make a rubric "Questions from subscribers", that would be really interesting, I think.
asking a legend questions about a caricature of a caricature of a real person. Shaking my head.
@@aaronmendoza5802 Maaaannn, It's been FIFTY years!!!! Holy Shit....These guys were having fun with
this 'caricature' of Jim in an Obvious Mockery of the man....But So What? There are Thousands....
and I mean thousands of boring interviews w/ Ray, John, & Robbie ....and some good ones too!
Look 'em up on music Mag websites, books, or even here on UA-cam! You'll get what you want
or you could keep on bitchin! (sorry I used the word 'books'...sorry)
Este tipo fue el gran artifice de las grandes canciones de los doors aporto una notable riqueza en esas emblematicas canciones! Y haun conserva el talento en mi opinion si encontrara el complemento indicado podria generar una gran obra nuevamente🙏🙏🙏
50yes still Jim loves androbbys got he's memory talk about gold it cannt replace those rock on Robby do it
I like the Doors but I was always more of a Robby Krieger fan than of Jim. I learned guitar playing classical and flamenco then moved on to electric. I some times prefer using fingers than a pick and Robby does that real well.
I like Robbie's last revelation....
Awesome!
A legendary man in his own right. I can't imagine that things were always easy with or even near Jim Morrison.
would love some more on your guitar collection, gear, funny road stories etc!
Robbie, I'm learning I'll never be untrue. With my guitar. Great song and great sense of humour ("two thirty..." Ah ! Ah ! Ah !). Thanx for all. From France.
Jim would be so proud
Que crack Robby, simpático a más no poder. Invitamos a la comunidad doorsiana por nuestro canal, somos un humilde tributo argento al legendario grupo californiano
Im loving the direction the channel is going keep it up guys
Well said Robbie, couldn't have been put better by Jim himself! 😁
this is my favorite jim morrison poem by far
Despite the incredible talent of each member, the Doors were greater than the sum of their parts. Viva la Doors.
Desde do ano 1994 fiquei sabendo da banda the doors até hoje é a minha preferida lhe desejo Robby muita saúde e felicidades 🙏
Ok now I need robby's green shades they're so cool
RIP Jim
Robby is the best
Geniooo!!!
I was going thru a lot of bad shit when I was 27...So much happier now, at the age of 60!
Both my 20s and 30s were terrible-things didn’t get better until my 40s
It sure would be nice if we had another crack at it.
I love Robby's glasses

Podria componer una gran ultima cancion, ojala lo encuentre! Seria un lujo!
If I ever interview him, dreams are a subject, but my spiritual experience and opinions interviews go beyond "Do you ever remember dreams?"
That last part was hilarious! “If that’s the case we are F!” 😂 can’t wait to read your book Robby.
He put a lot of his humor in the book. It was a great read.
I can't believe that Robby Krieger is reacting to a video clip from Wayne's World 2 lol
even crazier is that he’s also reacted to Family Guy
Most excellent.
How's Densmore doing?
Party on Robby
ROBBIE KRIEGER, GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!
✨✌️🐸✌️✨
A copy of a copy...in other words.. yeah well. I'm going to follow Robby's example of staying positive.
Fascinant le clip en version originale
the best clip in the movie is at the end where he sees and sits with Jim outside the concert, and Jim says he likes the way he himself put it (after Wayne described what he learned from putting on the concert). i think that was a funnier take on Jims thoughts than the clip shown here
And With a bass the trumpet gigant, was what needed for when long improvisations, instead of quilt bored. Reedit light my fire and other songs with less long instrumental segments to see if are successful, less than a minute bridge.
huh ?
You know, to this point if I was one of The Doors members I would be annoyed by the fact that when they show me something about The Doors it's always about Jim Morrison like if The Doors was only one member. Don't get me wrong Jim is a legend but please stop showing Robby this stuff, I can clearly see how annoyed he is with this clips about Jim.
Lighten up Francis.
Jim was the star, that's just how it is.
@@cooldolphiin and Robby is a human being, stop trying to shove Jim down his throat. This is exactly the favorite son of the family scenario where the parents talk about how great Jim is and how much talent he has while the othe 2 boys are ignored at the dinner table.
Marcia!! Marcia!!! Marcia!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@dirkdiggler2430 robby is great, one of my biggest inspirations but the fact is they would have never been as big as they were without jim. Most people think "jim Morrison" when they think of the doors, its just the way it is. He was what sold the band.

He was in the best band Americans have had.
Love the book ! I wonder how the Doors would've sounded if they'd have hired Robbie's friend instead of Rob. Not as good, fer sure.
i TRIED TO TALK THE OTHER PARTS OF ME OUT OF IT
Stop wasting this legend's time with silly questions
Where does Robbie live that he missed so much of the pop culture of America? Wild
Hey Robbie, I hope that everybody who was 27 that died is that way too. Always have. That's some serious shit
man, some insanely mundane questions considering the memories this man must have to plunder.
We need subtitles, please!!!
DEBERÍAN DE PONER SUBTÍTULOS EN ESPAÑOL PARA LA GENTE FAN'S DE JIM MORRISON EN LATINO AMÉRICA ‼️‼️‼️
Great reaction, the first clip is the censored version without the swimsuit magazine. small nitpick.
You should show him the FAMILY GUY story of THE DOORS. ROCK HARD is the name of the episode
"If you book them, they will come". Excellent! = 44 / Naked Indian = 86 - WAKE UP!! JDM
That Morrison closed his eyes while talking can be seen in many interviews. I always thought it was because of the camera lights but Krieger said now that Jim used to talk like that.
shutting off one or more of your senses does help to focus on things like memories and imagination, to name but a few!
He often sang with his eyes shut too, he recorded The End without lights! Gives new meaning to darkness surrounding Jim. Really was just hyper focus I think.
True
I had an eccentric great uncle who used to do that 😂- it was kind of a family joke to my dad
@@overcomerbtbojesus Yes some people do that. Val Kilmer did not do that playing Morrison. His acting was not that accurate.
