Just makes me sick that he couldn't deal with these things like a man but has two be a little b**ch that with out his knife he'd be nothing but a chump. I'd pay to be able to get just 5 mins in a room alone with this coward, find out how tough he is without his knife!! I doubt any of them ever thought it`s "going well". With so much evidence I`m wondering why he even tried taking it to court instead of pleading guilty. I mean I know why - because he is a narcissist and a psychopath but you get what I mean. His attorney though surely didn`t think they have any chance being caught at the scene of the crime, covered in the victims blood hiding in the woods just hours later after having a violent argument with his gf in front of their friends. And as if this isn`t enough he basically did the exact same thing once already thankfully without succeeding to murder Michelle as well.

Victim blaming isn't a thing. It's just another woke term that people invented to sanctify someone who has been victimised, as though someone's being a victim absolves them of personal responsibility for any situation in which they find themselves. Many times, people's actions have consequences. Acknowledging that isn't blaming anyone, nor is it implying they deserved it. But the position of victimhood has become almost saint-like, as though they're above criticism.
As someone who was taken advantage of while horrendously drunk, I refuse to say that I didn't bear at least a little responsibility for being so reckless and stupid at such a young age. That doesn't make it all my fault, but there are many factors at play. Life is much more complicated than victim/perpetrator, good/evil, blameless/guilty. This woman was warned. I have a sister who was warned about her abusive husband by his ex wife and others. All her own fault? No. Should she have listened? Absolutely.

Also, and no disrespect to the person above, but a lot of people view relationships, platonic or romantic, as individual issues and never think about the societal aspects of them. Domestic violence is not only an individual issue, but also a systematic issue that questions our society’s view of love being possessive, especially when sexism with the objectification of womens body.
I believe abusers rely on this (malicious or genuine) ignorance to let people think that they’re the one exception from this. In this case, we can assume that from her eyes rather than him being a sexist abuser, the woman occurred this wrath because she was just the wrong type of woman.
It’s why even when there’s clear examples of abuse especially from a well-liked or powerful man, they usually have such ardent supporters because they can’t even conceptualize how they can experience advantages or disadvantages in a societal context that they can’t control not matter how much they change themselves in an individual manner.
While I’m saddened by Kay’s murder, I think it’s also a cautionary lesson that sometimes we have to not think of ourselves as the one exception to societal/individual problems. I believe that instead of shutting down any attempts at analyzing these situations by saying victim blame, there needs to be some genuine criticism about this topic. At the very least, for peoples on safety. Rip tho

Kay didn't deserve to be murdered but I'm not gonna lie, she should've known better than to side with Matthew in the first place. It sucks though that she had to find out this way. All my love to her family and to Michelle for what she had to go through and for warning Kay even though it fell on deaf ears. May Matthew rot in Hell!

Completely agree. She knew that he tried to kill his girlfriend and sided with him anyway. Reminds me of the case where a man was in prison for killing his wife and pastor took a liking to him and helped him get released. The man ended up marrying the pastor's daughter and killed her too. I don't understand what else they expected to happen.

The support that this monster gets from his family and others like Kay (who paid the final price) just keeps these narcissistic monsters operating and getting new supply...victims.
Good for Michelle, very brave of her to take a stand which in these toxic situations can be difficult for victims. This means Michelle has moved out of delusion and into her own person and reality. Good for her!!!!
Kay was in trouble long before he actually took her life, unfortunately, she chose to stay. Very sad that she thought he loved her. He's incapable of that.😢

You don't THINK you could do the same? How's that even a consideration? Why would anyone ever date someone who literally just attempted to kill their girlfriend? Plus she testified for him. Not suggesting she deserved it, but the warning signs couldn't possibly be any more obvious.

@@topspot4834 Fact is, many women get to a point in life/age where they take what they can get for lack of a better term. Far too many people seem to lack self-awareness and they certainly don't have situational awareness or forethought. Too many think "surely that won't happen to ME." It's unfortunate she went out like this, but I'll be damned if she didn't have plenty of warning prior to her untimely death.
It's a shame, but she was a willing participant regardless of how many won't admit it. It's kind of like buying a car from a local car lot down the street, and the previous owner warns you "hey man, I wouldn't drive that thing. I used to own that car and got into a wreck and nearly didn't make it. They said it was from some sort of factory defect." However, you buy it anyway, not heeding the warning. 2 months later you're driving down the road and the car goes ape shit, you have a freak accident and die. The warning signs were there. You were even warned by someone who was harmed by it. You even went to court and testified on behalf of the car company who was being sued, yet you took their side because "hey it's been working so far." At some point, YOU were a willing participant and you hold a hefty amount of blame as well. Hell, had you just NOT drove the car, you'd be alive. Lesson are learned the hard way at times.
I say all that to say this, there are FAR too many people in the world to allow such blatant POS humans in your life with a verifiable track record of unsavory acts.

I have to say thank you for your condolences to the family of the victim. I (like many others on this channel listening) listen to a lot of other true crime channels. You were the first that I’ve heard in awhile to share your condolences. It truly shows your character and that you know these victims were once a wife, husband, father, mother, etc.; you are not just using their name for views, but to share their story. To that I say, thank you.
