may be a bit late but my current problem is zombies spawn and then walk in place. I have the areas set correctly and the node in the right place facing the correct way yet they wont walk to me.
Hey program115, do you know how to specify spawners per zone so that a certain zombie model only spawns in that place or zone. Seen this in a couple of maps but can't figure out how it's done
what should i do if the zombies spawn in but don't move at all? i made sure to double check everything/ rewatched your vid and can't seem to find where I went wrong.
It could be a few things but I usually check these: - script_string: find_flesh is on the struct if it's a riser. If it's going to a barricade, a matching script_string on the spawner & barricade. - All floors/ground are connected. If not, traversals are in place. - No brushes are covering the play area. I once made the mistake of drawing a brush instead of a volume. - No custom content is affecting it.
Hi my zombie actor is just a black cube and I have the view to skinned and boxed when I compile no rounds start idk what’s up Could it possibly be bc I do t have the additional assets downloaded I only downloaded the required assets bc my wifi sucks and would take a good week to get the dlc assets but if I need to get them I will Yep I’m thinking I need to get dlc bc those models are from the Giant map correct? I opened the actor in APE and it says model does not exist
@@Hur1caneAaron Make sure the script_string is on both the barrier prefab & the struct. Also check nothing is preventing the zombie from getting to the barrier (eg: gaps in floor & clips)
@@Program115 I have script_string on both barriers and struct. The arrow on the struct is pointed towards the barrier too. Sometimes when I run the map only one zombie breaks the barrier and gets inside but stays in place. The rest of the zombies just walks in place after spawning.
How many eposides of this series is there gonna be. Im a novice map maker thats been using cod waw for a while and ive barley used bo3 so im finding these really useful.
I'm glad you're finding them useful! I've got around 30 more to start with which will result in a map release. I'll then add more over time showing more mapping techniques along with taking other requests. Just to note though, I won't be posting 5 or so videos per day, this was just to get people started. I'm planning on doing 1 or 2 per day from now.

My barrier prefab is broken. It just doesn’t make the barrier spawn. Help?

Are you doing window spawns or playable area spawns?
