Thus [SCP-173] _deliberately_ does not kill [SCP-451] out of a sense of cruelty, wanting [SCP-451] to suffer without any hope of quick release Thanks for uploading this, *SCP Explained - Story & Animation.* :)
You interpreted 173 deciding not to kill as cruelty? I can definitely see that as possible, but I disagree only because I don’t believe 173 was killing out of cruelty, for cruelties sake. I interpreted 173’s motivations to be out of a learned enjoyment of the task, that began as revenge for keeping it confined by looking at it. Since it was still able to move with Daryl, there was no malice. And the desire he had to snap necks also just faded with time, the way many things once enjoyed, grow to be no worth doing for people over time. I’m interested in your interpretation, if you wouldn’t mind sharing.

I’m kinda confused, so if a human is about to die or someone 451 interacts with in any way he can see them? If someone touched him, would he feel it? Or do they faze through him?
"so if a human is about to die or someone 451 interacts with in any way he can see them?" Yes, if you are about to die, you can see and talk to him normally "If someone touched him, would he feel it? Or do they faze through him?" The SCP article says this: "Certain changes to SCP-451's surroundings are misinterpreted, including all attempts to communicate with him and any clear evidence of direct human intervention." I guess you can touch him, but he won't be able to connect the dots.
For any of y’all wondering why it looks like that it’s because the “classic look” of scp-173 is no longer canon (I think the artist that made the inspiration claimed the image)

- a.) [SCP-173 - The Sculpture]
- b.) [SCP-451 - Mister Lonely]
- c.) SCP CrossOver (-173/-451) Tale: _"Crunch"_
- d.) SCP Tale: _"Date Night"_ (Dr. Alto Clef & [SCP-173])
2. *_Irony_** ~* The portion with "Daryl", aka [SCP-451], is drawn from the SCP CrossOver (-173/-451) Tale: _"Crunch"._ The irony being that in the CrossOver Tale, [SCP-173] makes the willful choice to *_NOT_* break [SCP-451]'s neck even though [SCP-173] could have easily done so ([SCP-173] is still at full power/speed in the CrossOver Tale). [SCP-173] views [SCP-451] with utter _contempt,_ unworthy of the quick death that [SCP-173] could provide. Thus [SCP-173] _deliberately_ does not kill [SCP-451] out of a sense of cruelty, wanting [SCP-451] to suffer without any hope of quick release
Thanks for uploading this, *SCP Explained - Story & Animation.* :)
@@RavenFilms ~ When I said that [SCP-173] willfully refuses to kill [SCP-451], I am referring to the SCP Tale: _"Crunch",_ *not* to this fan-video.
Excerpted from [SCP Tale - _"Crunch"];_ with minor Edits for clarity and to fit UA-cam comment-format...

_Crunch means purpose. Crunch means life. Crunch means choice. Crunch means freedom._
_Crunch means everything._
_Remember man_ ([SCP-451 - Mister Lonely]). _Like me_ ([SCP-173 - The Sculpture]). _Never see others, never hear others. Trapped. Prisoner. Left to wander. Hated man._
_He trapped, but he also free. He move freely, do what he want. Not trapped by men, not trapped by self. Wanted him dead. Wanted life. Wanted crunch. He did too._
_He came asking to die. Couldn't take it. Wanted loneliness to end. Wanted death. Closed his eyes. Asked for crunch._
_I laugh. Crunch too good for him. Crunch too kind. Let him rot. Let him suffer. Let him walk world, looking for way out. Look for purpose, never find meaning in life. Never find purpose. I have purpose._
_I laugh and deny him crunch. He leave. He still alive. Know it. Looking for way out. Never find it. Life meaningless without purpose._
_I have purpose._
_I have crunch._

So as shown in the SCP Tale excerpt, it is pretty obvious that [SCP-173] willfully refuses to kill [SCP-451] out of cruelty and contempt, wanting [SCP-451] to suffer in the forced solitude of [SCP-451]'s Anomalous nature/curse.
@@pendrake40 I feel like you just copy and pasted this lol
@@salahuddin7498 ~ If you mean the Reply-comment referencing [SCP Tale: _"Crunch"]?_ That is literally (by definition) what an "Excerpt" is. *;)*
And just to be exact/accurate, an Excerpt is a more a 'Cut & Paste' job, since I only used the portion of [SCP Tale: _"Crunch"]_ that was relevant. To 'Copy & Paste', would mean I copied over the entire SCP Tale, which was un-necessary to do so.
Hope this helps clarify. *:)*
Congats on 2mil!!! 🥳🥳
It would be cool if scp 451 and joe shmo could be the only 2 people that could interact with each other. Since their anomalous abilities are very similar.
CONGRATS TO 2M SUBS!!!!!!
Fun fact: 173 is faster than the cameraman
1:24 Lol he blinked
I have a question about the appearance of 173. I'm not actively following everything the goes on in the community so I may missed something but this 173 as just the head of the original scp-173. Is it and alternative version of it ? Or the appearance changed with an event ?
This was a version that they made after February 2022 due to the fact that the person who used the image for 173 stole it
That’s sad, I liked how it used to look
@@Mavve69 same…
@@Mavve69 I loves puent
The original image got copyrighted so they have to change it
Hey Scp Explaind! Video Idea: Scp-173 VS Wednesday! (Because She Never Blinks)
If Daryl can see and not ser, that means he can look at The Shy Guy face without him turn in his rage state?
Darrels s compassion is endless. May he find an Eve in SCP's that are left and restart the worlld to make it a better place that includes everyone in Solidarity on our shared world to make it a better place gor all .
173 literally got talked to death. 😂
in a secret organization with some of the most brilliant minds in history, not one has even attempted the concept of blinking each eye independently aka winking.
I still don't understand it
There are many movies and even in Doctor who no one ever tries that as far as I know
This says it's sad end, but there's no way SCP EXPLAINED can make me like it as much as I love the Plague Doctor and Nice guy Shy Guy now cause of em
The plague doctor and shy guy are my favorites too! Tragic characters make the best ones. I also adore Josie the half cat too
1:56 "How did the sculpture move?"
( Dude you blinked like two times... )
Happy new year SCP Explained :)
Just gotta say, i actually think its poetic justice that 173 slowly died like that and it was well deserved IMHO.
Did the SCP world finally learn how to wink?
The black substance SCP-173 creates makes your eye watery so you need to normally blink.
@@Yaykup Even at a distance?
@@etienneleroi9515 I dont know there isn't a lot of info about it.
Who would of thought. An scp we fear to end up having pity for in its time of death.
I’m kinda confused, so if a human is about to die or someone 451 interacts with in any way he can see them? If someone touched him, would he feel it? Or do they faze through him?
"so if a human is about to die or someone 451 interacts with in any way he can see them?"
Yes, if you are about to die, you can see and talk to him normally
"If someone touched him, would he feel it? Or do they faze through him?"
The SCP article says this: "Certain changes to SCP-451's surroundings are misinterpreted, including all attempts to communicate with him and any clear evidence of direct human intervention."
I guess you can touch him, but he won't be able to connect the dots.
They faze through him and about the other questions idk good question
You would think that while the whole world was dying around him, he would have ran into a lot my people briefly
Dang bro. That made me cry
For any of y’all wondering why it looks like that it’s because the “classic look” of scp-173 is no longer canon (I think the artist that made the inspiration claimed the image)
No the artist didn't mind, it was cuz the wiki was getting more popular and didn't want the image contributed to it anymore
Never did I think I would get to see SCP 173 actually moving.
I am not saddened by 173 demise.
When I thought that this SCP was actually just a sculpture with weird button. the thumbnail. now he's adorable okay then
How to beat 173: close one eye at a time.
Hey have you ever heard of losing focus on the object
@@Ppan1r Just back away slowly as you do it, and enter a strong door that can be locked, and lock it.
finally. that thing is gone, atleast in that universe
Please do Able vs Wolverine 🙏
a truly sad moment for dr. Alto Clef
So basically scp 451 is reversed ghost? He can't see anybody but they can?
I feel like if he could interact with objects, the agent would've tried to repair 173 with Concrete and rebar.
Surely it wouldn't be that hard to find a cement mixer, cement, rebar, and instructions on how to use them.
I think that you should attempt to mine through 173 or at least attempt an X-ray. That way you could tell how it exists or maybe even what it’s species is.
Yes more of scp foundation scp 173. This is the greatest yet
The problem with this SCP is: you know people can blink with one eye at a time, right?
It was tried, but 173 got pissed off and just snapped their neck anyway
@@Nyan_Temmie not to mention blinking one eye at a time repeatedly would be uncomfortable
The smell of scp 173s shit would make your eyes water
Congratulations for 2M subs 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Great vid! Love it!
the channel we all need and deserve
I wanna be a bit of a critic here in terms of 173 in the thumbnail, but I wanna see if Scp Explained will allow me to say
What happend to peanut’s original body?
@kenyér hunter damn
5:47 Scp 343: time to shine
(Yes, he will intervene if that happens he has done it before)
Would he be able to see Able? (Pun intended)
Hey at least the thing brought 471 some comfort. Poor guy's been stuck in his own personal hell.
