Im so glad you have done this video. I have been thinking of using this on my bus for a few years. A friend did his series 2 landy in it and it looks great and takes all the knocks really well. Very easy to repair in the vehicle life as well. Good stuff
Looks a useful and versatile product. The fact paint is mixed with it is good for a job like the van floor, if it does get scratched it won't show too much as colour goes all way through, unlike painted stonechip where colour is just on surface. Probably ideal for a classic car if someone wants under arches or underside floor painted body colour.
Yeah man it’s gotta be the best thing for the front of one of these and not to bad buddy still got abit to go before I’m 100% but I’m all in the clear now
Just finished painting my vito exterior, may be tempted to do the bottom and inside the wheel arches with this. Great looking product and video again Tony. Have a great wk end dude 👍🤟🤘🤙👌👍
Nice job that Tony, I personally like the textured look in a VW camper, it going to get a lot of wear and needs to stand up to to it. Hope your feeling better now by the way 👊👊👊
Just watched this again Tony and was surprised at how easy it seemed to lay down plus I couldn't see any overspray so it looks to be a good product and ideal for the interior of the van, great vid mate and the live chat last night was a good laugh but I often think I'm hogging the chat window at times so please tell me to do one if I am 🤔😁😂 been giving the new gopro a good workout for the past couple of days but so far it's been faultless 🤞😬👍
Nice mate glad the new ones working well for you mate I’ve just added a drone to my camera collection today so I can get some cool shots of cars when there all done for videos
Nice mate, I have quite a few large scale helicopters but no drones, just be careful that you don't fly it into the side of a nice freshly painted car!! 😬😱😂
Wooow Tony that’s awesome 👏 and is my first time seeing the application lol 😂 but that was a big one Tony you always does hit us with some brand new style haha 😂 much love too you and your mate and keep those big ones 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪💪💪👊👊👊👌👌👌👌✊✊✊🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
A great video. I have recently bought black raptor for the underside of my bay. I think I'll do my cab floor in the bus colour. When adding the paint is it 10% which includes the paint hardner? One other question; is the finish a 'soft sheen' would you say.
Hi Tony. I'm planning on spraying Raptor to the underside of my car shell, untinted, just the straight black stuff. I have already laid down two coats of epoxy mastic and there are usually a couple of weeks between each stage for me. Do you think I will need to scuff up the second coat of epoxy before I spray on the Raptor or will this stuff key ok straight to the epoxy? I can't find the info on their website. Thanks
How good is this gun spraying overhead? May car is on a lift and I want to spray the underbody. Don't have a rotisserie... Nice work from your side - as always!
I wouldn’t add more paint to the mix incase it affects the ratios of the product but I guess you could use a coat of gloss over it to increase the shine if you really wanted
Another great video as always.... Do you think this would be suitable for painting a chassis? Also if you want to tint it to match a metallic, how would that work?
Love it the same process as stone chip almost !! I love upol easy sand body filler so any upol product must be good sorry a bit late just finished off prepping a fieasta how are you Tony by the way ??
@@TonysRefinishingTV company I work for won't shell out on premium easy sand is the most expensive they will strech to they don't realise there shelling out extra on stopper !! Not my money bro !!! Glad to hear your felling a little better 😊😊😊
I’m painting one of my cars with this , the whole outside. What would you suggest for a really Matt finish and going over existing paint? Key it up with 180grit?
@Jason Jones, think they did that on one of the American TV shows, painted whole outside of a truck in bed liner. Not pretty but hard wearing I guess Lol.
Thankyou buddy you guys always make me push to do better and improve things myself and pass on the tips and things I learn as I do so it’s as much down to you guys as me mate
Is the bottle reusable or just the gun it would be good if the bottle was made from aluminium I don't know if it is or if its plastic apart from that a good job as always mate and hope your health continues to improve
@@TonysRefinishingTV I suppose so your right but I just think there's too much plastic I know its not going to affect us but it will do in years to come and its our kids and grand kids that will get it one day sorry if I sound like a flat earther ha ha

Tony I've used raptor bed liner on my mini pickup on the rear bed but what they say is it can't be used inside a vehicle as it still gives off chemicals, is the raptor your using the same? Many thanks Tony ps great video
Yes mate it’s raptor , once a product is fully cured mate it’ll no longer give off any fines or odour so after a bake and once this is then fully cured after a few weeks like paint take time to fully cure then there will be no smell
Personally, I find Upol's stuff to be terrible.. I used their 2k Clear coats for a bit, crap stuff! Chips super easily.. I repainted my motorbike and used Upol clear.. So susceptible to scratches and chipping, I had to sand blast and repaint, and use a different brand...

Yes so mix the 2k first with hardener then add it to the mix mate , I’d say satin buddy would best describe it
Hi..good video looks great...I have cuestion..how many cans do I need to do the hole floor for my vw van..thank you

I wouldn’t add more paint to the mix incase it affects the ratios of the product but I guess you could use a coat of gloss over it to increase the shine if you really wanted
@@TonysRefinishingTV ok thanks for the reply didn't no if that was the maximum ratio of paint before it diluted the raptor to much.
10% it says mate so I’d stick to that
@@TonysRefinishingTV perfect mate thanks for the Info.
Another great video as always.... Do you think this would be suitable for painting a chassis? Also if you want to tint it to match a metallic, how would that work?
Yes mate and I beleive you can add base to it but not 100% sure I’d get some 2k mixed close to your chassis and go with that so it won’t look off
Love it the same process as stone chip almost !! I love upol easy sand body filler so any upol product must be good sorry a bit late just finished off prepping a fieasta how are you Tony by the way ??

Think you can overpaint it buddy you’d have to check the spec sheets to see what the crack is
Very nice
Thanks dale
That could come in handy

Hi tony, cracking video as usual, would it go through a primer gun with a 2 mm tip? Cheers mate
Yes mate it would but obv be a lot smoother with that method
