That turned out amazing! I love that you took the time to take everything apart at get the door jams all raptor lined, that extra work definitely pays off on the finished product.
Love the color! Looks amazing... was between a similar color and black... decided to go with murdered out looks... this green is perfect though. Like that you mentioned 80psi thing
I had mocked up so many combos with/without black fenders, tops and etc. I just went for all green. The black soft top gives me the two tone when I swap out.
In the jeep groups, this is really not a great idea, they say it decreases the value. But I ask, what does all the pin striping on my doors and fender do for the value. I feel like this is well worth it! I don't do anything serious as offroading goes but I love to travel down the less traveled paths in the national forests. You know the drill, scratch after scratch. I think even one branch put a crease down my passenger side, from antenna to quarter glass. Not cool. I really need to do this. Awesome job and in my mind, this looks amazing!
I'm never selling this Jeep, so resale value never crossed my mind to be honest. Sorry to hear about your crease! That's exactly why I did this to mine. Thanks for watching!
Looks great getting ready to raptor my army green FJ cruiser. Have you thought about fluid film for your chassis? My son's FJ was getting some surface rust on his frame. We cleaned black paint then guild film on this chassis two years ago it still is rust free.
Thanks Jerry! Just take your time on the prep and it goes on nice. I have not been gentle with mine as far as branches and stuff on the trails and it looks brand new after a hose down. I’ve never used the fluid film but I know it was very popular with the ‘yota guys when I had my tacomas.
If the monstaliner has tech data sheets, study them closely. Do everything the manufacturers recommend. Pay attention to how your gun is functioning, it can clog with hardening material between coats so you may want to soak it in acetone or whatever thinner that monstaliner recommends. This type of job is 95% prep, so the more care and time you put in on the prep, the better the actual spray will turn out.
looks good. now that u have had in on for a while how is it holding up? im wondering with summer and winter on a fiberglass top if it keeps its old over the years
Other than my front fenders, which are plastic and I probably didn’t clean well enough, it is still holding very strong everywhere on the jeep. I still highly recommend the raptor liner.
I have plastic fenders and bumpers on my 2013 Wrangler. Is it possible for me to do just those with that textured paint? Is there any that possibly looks MORE textured? I kind like the clumpy look.
Yes you can definitely make it a rougher texture. You would want to vary your air pressure and distance from the surface to dial in the texture you prefer. I would practice on a piece of plywood or cardboard until you have the look you desire.
It was 7 quarts total. The last coat is a dusting coat at a higher psi with the spray gun further from the work piece so the last coat was only one bottle to complete. So it was right at 3 quarts per coat for the first two coats.
Great Job, trying to decide to do my 2002- F250, few body shops said not to do it. Wondering how it will hold up? I have clear coat issues, damage for a few hurricanes, and a recall tire blow out. BTW what do you prefer Pumper, Ladder, Rescue? I'll take the Ladder. Stay Safe.🚒
I ride officer seat in a pumper for the foreseeable future. Love it! I wonder why body shops advised against it. I guess I’m only at about 6 months with this on the jeep, but we’ve been on trails that would’ve done serious damage to a factory paint job and there’s not a mark on mine at this point. If you have clear coat issues, proper prep would scuff that all down and provide good mechanical bond for the Raptor.
@bayouslots3143 I’m getting ready to do my 2002 F-250 as well, how did yours turn out? And yeah, the body shops probably don’t like the competition, lol. I’ve actually got a lot of prep to do, the rear fenders are rusted pretty bad as well as some on the rocker panels.
@@LarkinLivesayJr I did not have a chance to do it yet. Still have to replace the bed panel from a blow out. It's my work truck and have been busy and can't take it out of service. Keep me updated on yours. thanks
What color is that? (Raptor’s paint scene #). I know it’s like an “olive green”, but I was wanting to know specifically because I want to do that to my Jeep TJ & then do military decals or stenciling.
No fading, the raptor liner is UV resistant, so it looks just as good as it did new so far. I did get a few chips on the underside of my fender flares, but they are plastic and it was very difficult to get all the mold release off of them, plus that area is subject to the harshest environment. Overall, I still highly recommend!
So you used 4-5 quarts for the whole thing? Including the top? I bought the 8 quart kit and have a 4 door hardtop like yours. I should have more than enough then?
damn good work brother! this is one of the best at home raptor jobs I've ever seen
I'm looking to do this to my WJ
I could watch this a million times and still not get tired of it. That Jeep looks amazing after you put your touch on it.
Thanks for the kind words
That turned out amazing! I love that you took the time to take everything apart at get the door jams all raptor lined, that extra work definitely pays off on the finished product.
Thanks! It was worth the extra effort. Luckily wranglers are pretty easy to take apart.
Get rid of the music, just an annoyance.
Freaking amazing on the transformation. Thank you for sharing...you are giving me some inspiration on what to do next to my Jeep JK!
Thanks a lot Steve! Good luck with your build!!
AMAZING... LOOKS SO GOOD. Well done sir!
Glad you like it!
That looks really nice!! I like that color! Great work!!
Thank you!
This is what you want to see after a Raptor session! Nice job, good inspiration
Thanks so much!
What color is his?
Mine is the Olive tint from Upol
Nice work mate, thank you for sharing your quality work
Much appreciated
Awesome Job Brother! I Just sanded down my TJ getting ready to spray in a few days. Going with olive green and black.

love the color!! great job
Thanks Philip! I’m partial to olive drab. Haha
Jeep looks really good great job
Looks fantastic!
Thanks!
Nice video. Love the OD color!!!
Thanks D Robs! It was a lot of work but I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Looks Incredible ! Now I want mine done !!!
Me too! Wish I could afford it!
If you have the means to DIY, it is not too expensive.
Looks great 👍 👌
Thank you 👍
Love the color thus is the same route I'm planning on going with my 08.
Thanks!
Working on my JK. Already all sanded down. Will spray it this Saturday. Hopefully it turns out as good as yours.
Thanks! Did you get it done?
@@darkfader914 I did. Looks amazing. Definitely would do it again despite all the hard work it took lol.

Thanks for actually saying what color tint you used.
spray fluid film on your frame to prevent rusting

Smart ! Just one thing tone the background music down, made it real hard to hear you at times 👍😉
Thank you, and thanks for the tip on the sound.
Sick
Haha, thanks Josh!
very nice work, the truck looked great at the end. Quick question, how many quarts (bottles) of bed liner did you use for the complete job?
I think I was right at 7 quarts for the entire job.
Looks great! What fenders are those?
Looks great man. I’m prepping my Jk for bedliner right now, went with monstaliner, any last minute tips or lessons learned?
If the monstaliner has tech data sheets, study them closely. Do everything the manufacturers recommend. Great job, I'm guessing you've spent some time in a bodyshop.
Thanks for the compliment. I've never done much with auto bodywork actually, but I've finished a lot of drywall in my life. LOL!
How’s it holding up? Anything you would do different? Thanks

So now that it’s been at least a year later. How is it holding up? Does it still look good and would you do it again?
Yea it’s holding up great. I wouldn’t own an off road vehicle without doing this.
What color is that? (Raptor’s paint scene #). I know it’s like an “olive green”, but I was wanting to know specifically because I want to do that to my Jeep TJ & then do military decals or stenciling.

Upol Olive tint
How many liters of raptor liner did you use?
It was just under 7 liters for me. That's 2 heavier coats and the final dusting coat.

How many quarts did you use??
I believe it was 4-5
can you tell me the color code?
It is the Upol tint “olive”
