A knight with a large war hammer would have been pretty good. We were robbed of that with Jormungundr. In the teaser photo it was a large war hammer.

We still don’t have a spear knight (which is likely the most common weapon used), a rapier knight and we are still waiting for a classic spartan (I hope one gets released as an outlander) but

I think having a spear themed hero would be difficult since we already have 4 polearm weaponed heroes. Valkyrie uses a spear and shield so how would you make a spear themed hero that doesn’t copy the movesets of Valkyrie?
Secondly; the Lawbringer, who is a knight, has a spear-like weapon. While the poleaxe is more of a polearm than a spear, it works in a similar way in terms of reach.
Thirdly, what type of spear are you referring to? A generic, run of the mill spear or a unique spear?
Making a spear themed hero is a lot more complicated than you realise which is why they probably chose more unique polearms.
I disagree on your statement that “we” (I think you specifically meant YOU so don’t drag us into it) were robbed of a war hammer hero. The type of warhammer I assumed you are thinking (the fantasy type) is not a good idea. Jorm as a hammer wielding hero makes sense both thematically, mythologically and aesthetically so please spare me your crying because the Vikings (the best faction) got a war hammer.
Also, that teaser probably showed the hammer in a very weird perspective making seem deceptively larger.
War hammer can also chance into war pick because they have pointed beak behind the edge of the hammer head can also use as a smacking pickaxe breakthrough, that weapon is a light weapon that will be cool for a Knight hero to have that so he can hammer faster 😐😀 than Jorm, that will be petacular

idk i kinda doubt this, reason being, the whole reason they created the ountlanders faction is so they could be ore creative with the heros they create and so that they dont have to stay within the pre-existing factions

As much as I’d like to see the outlanders grow and bring more cultures into the game, the wu lin are LONG overdue for a new hero. However, I’d really like to see a hero that uses just a spear that is either a knight, samurai, or wu lin.

Funny you mention that since Medjay should be a Heavy and Ocelotl an Assassin technically, along with Afeera being a Vanguard.
@@The-Black-Death ocelotl as an assassin maybe, but medjay and afeera are probably way to technical to not be hybrids (medjay with his dual stance/weapons and afeera is mix-up intensive)
@@Austin_Triebe I mean Medjay is basically nothing but heavy and hyper armor technically, whereas Afeera is sorta like Kensei and Tiandi if you think about it. But everyone almost agrees Ocelotl is just an Assassin mislabelled as a Hybrid, even his own lore and playstyle is very assassin-esque already.

Unrealistic tbh, only way to bring in more players, since there Marketing is pretty bad, besides, they are changing game fairly fast tbh.
Imo more game modes are unnecessary when we have a lot that nobody plays do to Dominion giving players the xp they want within a "fair" amount of time
I also think the next one should be a Wu Lin. But I would also like to see 1 hero per season come out again, I feel that year 8 has to bring something big and it is time for a change.

I just want a Spartan Hero!!!
How would a Spartan Hero work? Would he be knight or Outlander? What weapon would he use? What would his movesets be that isn’t copied from another? What various armour sets and weapon cosmetics would work?
I know you want a Spartan Hero but there is a big reason why they haven’t and most likely never will release one.
@@ulfberht4431 The Spartan could be ether a Knight or a Outlander, he would use a Spear and a Large Sheild, his move-set could include a Spartan Kick (I hope I don’t have to explain that one) and a Spear Wall that could go into an all shield and give you an almost free light attack, his armor could start at what the low level of Spartans and move up to armor that Generals would wear like Leonidas or Ares for example.
The main reason they haven’t made one yet is because they don’t want to, if I could list off some stuff for this Hero in like 20 minutes I’m sure a Gaming Company could come up with more with just a week.

Next hero should be an Outlander Spartan/Hoplite. The one after should be another Wu Lin. And if they're still only doing 2 heroes a year, it should be the same line up next year. We need our newer factions to catch up with the original 3 on numbers. Also I just really want a Spartan and the reason why I said it should be the next hero is if they're still doing genderlocked heroes and if the Varangian is female only. That makes the next hero coming out a male. And I need my Leonidas lookalike lmao
The pattern is definitely true as I’ve noticed it too. So if we’re correct, the pattern will be as follows:
Knights
Samurai
Viking
Wu Lin
Outlander
And then back to knights. Since they have too many knights, they’ll skip it and do another samurai hero and then Viking and so on.
ideas for wulin heroes: hero with a jian sword in one hand and a fan in the other, since they require so much a character with a jian sword in one hand puts a fan together to look different from tiandi ou centurion, the fan is used to block when closed and to cover the enemy's vision of the sword when open, like a bullfighter's cape.
also, as they ask for a hero with just one spear and that's all, add a hero with a qiang spear, which has the peculiarity of having a super flexible pole that allows it to bend, making quick movements and attacking at angles that are impossible with normal spears, in addition From having feathers on the tip to confuse the enemy's vision with the quick movements, they could even have Fang Tian Ji skins, which I'm sure people would love.
Another is a hero with a monk spade, similar to medjay, but each tip has different functions, one for gripping and the other for slicing.
and finally the 3-session staff, but I personally find this one the most boring of all
Really would like the visual of seeing a three section staff!! Feel like they could do some cool things with that. Incorporating a fan with one of the heroes would be a fun thing to see as well! Can't wait to see what they actually do! Good stuff 👍🏼
Personally I'd love to see a Bec Du Corbin/ Lucerne (Or similar exclusively 2 handed warhammer). I had some ideas for such a hero for some time and would love to see a very technical counter attacker hammer hero and would add nicely to the blunt weapon hero variety.
I'd love to see a cannon wielding Wu Lin with heavy melee bash attacks and a powerful ranged attack. Ridiculous concept, but one that could be interesting. That or an Outlander with a handcannon/early musket for a powerful ranged attack as well.
Honestly, I'd love to see some dedicated ranged heroes to shake up the playstyle from almost pure melee with ranged abilities.
There won't be a new samurai hero or another viking hero after the Varagian since both factions will be even by then, hell I don't even think they're gonna add 2 other Outlander heroes for that matter until they make a sequel. The next Wu Lin is probably gonna be a Mongol/Hun hero too since it's too obvious.
i would say the new fraction with afeera and ocelotel
for that i would say
1 an assasin with a dagger
2 a mercenary with more options of weapons
3 or an spartan with an spear and a shield + a gladius wich he can switch to when he throws his spear
I also predict that we'll get a Wu Lin hero next. Probably is going to be a female only, since one class/one gender has been the pattern since Warmonger. As for what type of hero, I'd say we'll either get a Jian-hero with a Wuxia flair, or a Qiang-hero styled after Mulan.
As for the other, my guess is a male Outlander. Going by popular demand, either a Greek Warrior with a spear and hoplon set, or a Mongol wielding dual sabres. I'm more leaning towards the Mongol hero, since it's possible that a Greek-styled hero could be saved for later as a female only hero. I mean, it makes a lot of sense to have an Amazon hero, after all.
They already confirmed the next hero is outlander

Side note on patterns, while some are harder to draw direct connections about your can also sometimes predict a heros kit/elements of it by looking to their faction and their weapon. Here me out.
(Note that some of these have been removed since hero releases)
A European hero with a heavy axe has stun on a top attack, the only two that this applied to have lost it, but it was true.
For the strongest example, polearms:
-A European hero with a polearm (lb, valk, glad) will have a bash useing their weapon to knock the enemy down.
-A Asian hero with a polearm (shao, nobu, and JJ) will have a guardless stance.
Trends like these exist broadly, some heros draw from multiple, others have sorta merged, namely superior block attacks used to be different than crushing counters because they stayed blockable.
Euro shields gave superior block attacks (og conq heavies, and lights on WL and Valk) and crushing counters were for heavy swords (Warden and HL) nowadays all superior attacks are crushing counters.
I see what you're saying however, I wouldn't say they are all crushing counters. You don't get anything confirmed on a side superior block on an attack with Conq, it seems. Does make you wonder about their logic concerning polearm and stun but didn't Aramusha have ring the bell which stunned before and he doesn't have polearm. Doesn't seem to be all inclusive in regards to the stun, maybe just the weapon and stun is what you're saying. Or maybe I've officially confused myself lol. Either way, it's interesting. A janissary hero would be awesome. Janissaries are the main military unit in the ottoman empire they are famous because of their sword skills and ottoman slaps. I mean it will be so cool having a character that slap his opponents on the face to the ground 😂

The Wu Lin need more love in the form a warrior that uses the Jian. Probably one the most famous Chinese weapons up their with the Guan Dao.

I’d really like to see a jian too, or even a spear. It’s weird that there isn’t a hero that uses JUST a spear, so im hoping they could make one in the near future that’s either a knight, samurai, or wu lin.

I would love a curved sword or Cossack hero. Would also love a Spartan or a knight hero that has a billhook or glave! If we wanna get REAL weird, a hero composed of two characters (like ice climbers) would be fun and weird
That would be crazy! But I do think they are already combining heroes. You can see similarities in VG to BP and Conq. When they added dodge lights to heroes that didn't have them initially, they used canned animations.
Any of those heroes would be interesting (cossack or Spartan)! But no one has told me what would make a Spartan stand out from the cast we already have besides feats and executions.
It would be cool to see what we get as a Wu Lin. A cool idea would be a Mongolian with armor and traditional clothing but in the For Honor universe they’ve also expanded to using more foot soldiers. So it would be cool to see what Ubisoft could come up with. I also just want an excuse to blast Mongolian throat singing.
They litteraly said in the warrior den in which they announced the viking hero that the hero after the viking would be a wu lin, just saying

Are you sure you're not talking about the Year 7 roadmap? I haven't seen a Year 8 roadmap where they laid out Hero skins and hero releases like they did last year. The Viking hero was the last hero mentioned on that one. Haven't seen one since. But I hope we get one during the Warrior's Den tomorrow. Personally it should 100% be a Samurai and then another Viking, and then a Wu Lin. The Knights getting 2 back to back really messed up the pacing of the hero releases in regards to the core factions. Knights, Viking, and Samurai should all be brought into line with one another, then we can get Wu Lin, which is its own faction just not one of the big 3, up to a clean 6. Then after that we could easily just do 2 Outlanders before going through the others in order, or alternate, or whatever.
I would say I agree, the next hero more than likely will be Wu Lin. Definitely feel like we won't be seeing another knight or another outlander for quite a while. They may take some time to bring vikings, samurai and wu lin up to roughly the same amount of heroes as the knights do.
Though I would say they should focus on some other stuff, I mean everyone knows we haven't had a new viking since jorm back in y3 but we also haven't had a new map in years either, which I understand is due to probably budget reasons and new heroes more than likely generate more hype and attention for the game than new maps do, it would be nice though to get at least another dominion map (even though I'm pretty much solely a duels player) if not a couple more 1v1/2v2 maps just to freshen it up for us vets
Been taking a pretty long break from for honor since 2022, only to come back to see this video and im not gonna lie kinda disappointed by the hero as it is basically just a viking vortiger. Ubisoft is clearly running out of ideas.

Yep, that's what I noticed as well. I actually called her "the Vikings BP variant" in the hero reveal vid I did. Idk if it's ideas or budget.
The good news is we are getting new dom maps by way of converted deathmatch maps, which as you know, we've been asking for new dom maps forever. A legacy battlepass so people can get some battlepass content they missed.
A positive about Katla aka Varangian Guard hero is she does have some unique tiered feats that make her one heck of a support heavy hero. We'll see how it goes once people play her.
For Honor has treaded water for a while, but they are supporting the game and gradually improve it. It's a resilient game lol. There's no other game like it and it's still fun. Hope you come back to it even if it's from time to time. Thanks for watching 🫡

The Cossack would fight with duel sabers in reference to Cossack sword dancing.
the streltsy can keep their Arquebus but it should be locked behind a tier 3 or 4 feat while they could fight with a saber or spear since gryphon uses the bardiche
I personally feel like southeast asia needs some love, need a muay boran hero that could probably use Krabi Krabong for weapons if they dont wanna use an unarmed hero, or even filipino kali sticks

You and others have enlightened me on some very intriguing weapons and possible heroes like cossack hero, to a hero with a three sectioned staff. There are so many awesome possibilities! Solid ones that you introduced as well. 👌🏽 It takes them a lot of time to develop and mocap and enter into the game so I'm going to enjoy the hero we get but I've enjoyed all these takes. Wu Lin is worse off than Vikings. Vikings will have 8 heroes while the Wu Lin lag behind.
I mean yeah, fair but the wu lin are all high tiers and frustrating to deal with. I don't want anymore wu Lin tbh. Athough pirate is a wu lin by nationality but is outlander politically. I just don't enjoy them but I can see why people want more of em.

Personally, I would like to see a new Wu Lin hero, they haven’t had a new hero since the Zhanhu and are overdue for a new one. So I would like to see either two new Wu Lin heroes or one Wu Lin and one Outlander (that IS NOT another hybrid).
I thought the devs said a long time ago that all Outlanders would be hybrids. I'm good with Wu Lin or Outlander next. Let's just hope it's balanced.
I feel like it will be a Wu Lin Hero next time then a knight hero after for a total of 36 heroes. Then I feel like they are going to pause the new hero stuff since they have been making money off the hero skins and “hopefully” work on maps, feats, game improvements, etc. because, 36 characters is a lot anyway & it isn’t easy to come up with weapon fighting styles.
I would like an Arthur Dane style character from got, or guts from Berserk.. or deathstroke style knight with maybe staff and or sword or both
My list of heroes that I would want to see: Polish/Cossack fighter with a sabre sword with dueling playstyle, Longsword or one-handed sword/dual wielded sword with counter/feinting technical style of fighting, like from the medieval sword books, French musketeer using rapier, with technical, fast-paced style utilizing counters and feints.
Rapier would be nice but I see that adding another 'Heavy' hero and they just added one with Varangian Guard (Katla). I say that because I saw that the rapier was too heavy for all the movements of combat. Interesting because I also saw where it was 3lbs so 🤷🏽♂️. An Otoman caried Otoman Curved Sword and his/her amor , most knight don't have Curved Sword even though they have it, Otoman Curved Sword in Forcged In Fire are very good like a Katana, Rapier was a good chance if a their bring a nomal knife or curved handler knife or bring a Rapier have oposing visible lift handler because when every sword got into that Rapier handler mean they stuck their weapon inside,.we still don't have Knight who are good Assassin so having a Rapier would be insane

Add all the characters they make from this game. Add more maps and clean up some animations, but I would also expand upon some of the lacking heroes. Also, in my opinion, a lot of heroes we have gotten in the past couple years have been creatively absent. Ubisoft needs to support this game a little more. This is one of the best fighting games ever created, if they gathered some more veteran developers to put some input on how to expand the horizon on this game, then it probably would probably get a good return on investment. Sorry if this comment is a jumbled mess, I am typing it at work.This game has so much potential and I would hate to see it get overlooked more than it aleady has. Also if they did make a for honor 1.5, we need a revamped tutorial mode for new comers, I have tried to get people to get this game and I will take them through the tutorial, and some people have just seemed as if they learned nothing. It might be a skill issue thing, but usually once people stay engaged enough to get over that hurdle, then it starts to click.

No, it wasn't that jumbled. To keep this response from being too long, I'll just say this. For Honor is a live service game with what they say has 35 million players. Half of that number are converts from console to PC 😂. I kid. But seriously, They are making improvements but it is very slowly. I honestly feel like we are on For Honor 3 with all the changes we've had in this game over the 8 years. We didn't have dedicated servers, parry has been completely changed. It's went from a defensive meta to offensive meta. And to discuss your point, go back and look at the Warrior Den about 6 months ago. They revamped the tutorials to make them better and added a Dom one and it still wasn't great. So they are trying, and I doubt we get a For Honor 1.5 or 2 as you say because they are going to keep tweaking this game throughout its life cycle.
I absolutely love this game, still! I'm hyped for the converted maps. I think they are doing the best they can with the resources they have and I 100% agree with you that Ubi should pour some more resources into this because the potential is still there! I'm going to be hopeful and keep playing until I don't want to. I thought I would be done by now but I can't stop playing it. I'm never leaving, I've accepted that 😂. we got told it was going to be Viking then wu lin and ending with a knight a while back in a warriors dens there's a official chart somewhere showing it
I need to see this official chart. I've only seen a Year 7 roadmap they did at the beginning of Year 7. There was a Viking hero release in season 4 and that was the last one for Y7. They may have alluded to it in that Den way back then, but I haven't seen a chart specifying what's next. Lmk if you find it. Genuinely curious. I mean I'm excited. We're getting a new hero and a viking, but I don't see this character as very unique. I'll wait to play it first though. I think we should focus less on new characters and more on new game modes, new maps and fixing the cheating and botting

i hope they add more Historical Medieval influenced Heroes like the varagian guard the black prior and Cent I doubt they will because they added a pirate and and a Egyptian Dude

I just wish people would stop complaining about the gender lock. Given the state of the game (and keeping in mind that for honor isn’t one of ubisoft’s biggest/well known titles), it takes less funding, effort, and time to make the heroes one gender as opposed to both. They’d have to design the character model for both genders and record all the voice lines twice. So while having the option to choose the gender would be nice, it’s ultimately just easier for the for honor team to just make them gender locked… with the pattern for the last four years being one male and one female.
Also keep in mind that the last two or three heroes only have two sets of armor styles, and we’ve only gotten two sets of armor variations per hero this year as opposed to one variation for each hero per season like previous years. So again, it’s probably just easier for them to make less, however they could also be going more for quality rather than quantity.
If I had my dream fantasy for honor plan
Fill out the the Vikings, go with the same pattern the knights had, this Viking hero then another Viking hero. Next 1 samurai to round out the samurai and no more wu lin or outlanders
Now this ain’t wu lin hate. I absolutely love the wu Lin they’re my favorite faction right next to the Vikings
But I feel like not only would a wu lin hero stunt progresses, but it would also distract from what for honor REALLY needs
What that is in my opinion?
New armor sets for all the dlc hero’s. From y3 to this new Viking hero. Not variations, new sets
New maps. Now new maps are tasking feats. So I propose to re use campaign content and pieces of breach maps to make smaller maps made for modes like dominion
And last but not least, a personal dream I’ve been hoping for, for literal years
Bring back the responsive dialogue system from the marching fire beta
When the responsive dialogue system was shown to the world all the edgy 13 y/o cried their eyes out about how the knights weren’t “badass” enough and ruined it for the rest of us.
The responsive dialogue system has so much love and effort put into it, it’s a crime the community let it die so easily. Bring it back
I think the reason why Wulin got ditched is because of the backlash it got like everyone is hating on the faction because of the spammy moves and because they are chinese
We need a Wu Ling hero with a Jian sword.
They should add an Spaniard outlander with a rapier and a cape (to use it as bashes or like the Nuxia bait thingy or something) fight me over this, you know they should add a character with a rapier (and he should be Spaniard), and add a El Zorro execution/skin

I think they gon do a next wu lin and personally I would like 2 new outlanders and a new knight, wu lin being an assasin with bladed Tonfas, the 2 outlanders being a spartan (since the var.guard speaks a little greek I think they wanted to make it clear) now not necessarily a hoplite, but a spartan, the other one being either a russian Bogatyr or a Native American (Brave) similar to ocelotl but different. For the knight I've always been thinking of a 2 handed warhammer (not like the jorms 1 handed stick) who's like a tank.
I really like the bladed tonfas hero idea and that would work as a Wu Lin. Some good choices for sure. Don't know if Jorm would be rebranded as baby Warhammer by people if they did make a two handed Warhammer hero 😂 I don't think they'll go there but I understand the differences with your idea being a walk you down tank like hero. @@MisterArdor sorry for said this but Tonfa are not Chinese weapon, that will be cool if we have that hero but they are infact Okinawa weapon in Japan 🤷, I want a Sai Chinese Hero that will be accurate, if they make a Samurai Hero, I hope it will be Okinawa turn to showcase their Ancient Karate with Ka-Bu-To weapon like Tonfa
@VietNgo-fq4ej No apology necessary. We're all just conversing. From the little I read on the all knowing Wiki at the time lol, it stated that Tonfa's history is a bit cloudy and they weren't sure if it originated in Japan or China or another part of Asia. So it's feasible it could be Wu Lin but if it's in the Samurai Faction I'm cool with that too!
When I was a kid, Raphael was my favorite ninja turtle and I loved his twin sai. As casual a take that is, its true. I like reading and learning from what yall are all saying. Its pretty awesome reading the ideas and opinions of everyone. It would be great to have another close combat melee style hero. We'll find out in TU2 around August 2024, since that's when the Samurai hero will be released.

I'm old school so when I think of tiger claw weapon I think of Vega from Street Fighter lol. It would be cool to have a hero like that. I see a hero with this weapon as more of an Outlander than Wu Lin since the origin traces to India but I'm not so sure since it was only a quick search after reading your comment. Imo the wu Lin need 4 more heroes and the Vikings and samurai get 1 more to balance it out
I feel like they really need to round out the Wu Lin before adding to any other faction after the Varangian Guard hero. It's so weird to me how there are SO many exotic weapons in Chinese history that are unique and still weapons like the Crescent Halberd, literally the MOST WELL KNOWN CHINESE WEAPON doe frontline infantry (That was also used by a certain famous tyrant Warlord, wink wink nudge nudge Ubisoft where the hell is my Lubu heavy hero?) for the time period we are working with in For Honor here that are missing. We've basically covered all bases with the Samurai, Knights, and Vikings now and people just on the whole seem tired of Outlanders after how busted Afeera was and how boring Ocelotal turned out to be. I'd be surprised if they just drop the Wu Lin like a sack of bricks after that huge Halloween event and season too, but considering there is any empty slot for the Knights they will probably do a Wu Lin, then a Knight, and who knows after that at this point.
I want Legacy Viking hero and then a samurai and then more outlanders, spartan or athenian, maybe the grim reaper character people have wanted
I just needed a heavy fully armored viking and a heavy knight that had a heavy sword, just like highlandrr but using some kind of Lawbringer armor

Slayer I have had people in the comments say the devs said an Outlander was next, then someone says they said Wu Lin was next. Yiu are mentioning that another Viking is next. So even us as the players seem to be all over the place with it. The only thing I remember is two things: 1) They said a couple years ago that every Outlander will be a hybrid. 2) They put out a Year 7 roadmap that showed all the 2 heroes factions that were being added and that was Outlander - Ocelotl and Viking - Varangian Guard. @@MisterArdor yes thats true wish they would just be reasonable and clear and say what fractions or next specifically but was thinking since they did two knights in one year couple seasons ago and as you mention in the video at a point so i was like ok maybe its true two viking in one year, so it would even out with the knights then focus on wu lin and samauri then outlanders again but either way if it is a wu lin hero next it would be good cause all wu lin are fun and unique in my opinion hope to watch your feed back on the warriors den, stay bless brother.

@@lamthaiquang827 and you don't find that rather convenient? What if one faction won multiple campaigns? It was guaranteed that each faction would win at least once, and if a different faction won the 1st campaign they almost certainly would've just started at a different point in the cycle
@@shaunbufford1306 u didnt play season 1, did you? In ss1, the majority of player was Samurai, 2nd was Viking and last was Knight. It was a miracle that Viking won the first season. This is also heavily player based decision since the player is the one that decided what hero comes next. A genius strategy in my view i think

@@shaunbufford1306 well consider ubi already premade these heroes forward. They just needed to adjust the marketing strategy when it came out to make us feel that way. But yeah, seeing your action has impact on the game is really satisfied, even if it was some kind of trick from the dev

I can imagine edge walking toward this new hero with Aramusha only to fast forward to my bloody body on the battlefield like what happened. Lol. I would never want to lose to this hero lol. Would be interesting to see how they introduce a brawler with this or tiger claws.
Honestly I'm thinking they might pull a Knights thing a do another Viking Idk I just got this weird feeling cause yea I am aware of the pattern but most likely it's been focused on the Vikings recently there fore it might be another Viking hero related to gudmunder the Warlord from the campaign Ik what I'm about to say may not make sense but hear me out we know gudmunder is dead we saw him die but we don't know who else was in that house and if anyone got out same for Apollyon I doubt she is actually dead sure it looked like we killed her but lets think here she could very much have just lost consensus due to lack of blood or something she could very much be alive some where out there so as of this reason alone I believe Gudmunder's child (if he had one) could be the next hero with the help of Apollyon becasue who else would there be to train them right?

I think a Spartan is coming next since they're on this "pleasing the fans" mood, either as an outlander or a knight.
Id really like a Knight with similarly accurate gear like these last 3 heroes. I know the factions are very loopsided but I really don't feel like we've gotten a wariror with true "knightly" vibes since the year 1 (think about it, 2 romans, 2 evil lords and mr international). So I would be very pleased to see a knight with sword or hammer and shield (maybe a buckler or a heater shield idk) and somewhar accurate armor for once.
If not, I could see an indian warrior with either a couple katars or a khanda. I could dig another native american, one of those alaskan warriors with wooden armor.
God knows the wu-lin are indeed lacking in numbers, but Idk. Maybe a guy with a round shield and a dao (one handed saber)? Could be cool with some mongol armor.

If they did an Indian hero I'd kinda want to see him use a pair of Chakram, super unique weapons.
What I most want to see tho is a Wu Lin hero with nunchucks, although I definitely like your idea of a Mongol themed hero. If Ghost of Tsushima is anything to go off of, their customisation would be elite.
