Trevor dislikes more food than Mark, although I haven't seen his recent videos. His old videos, I recall he even gives 1 star or 0.5 stars, but maybe he changed now.

@@angelinadash2396 he lives in Thailand married to a Thai for years now and been eating weird food in his vlogs that intestines and bugs are just normal to him, so that means that the food that he ate in these clips are horrible. I don't know where you'rrle from but I'm Filipino and even I know that there are street vendors out there who are too lazy to clean their isaw (grilled intestine).
Selling unsanitary food is not only disrespectful and lazy but it is also illegal.
I always know when Mark enjoys something, and it is definitely rare when he doesn't, yet he is polite and respectful. I always worry about him since he ate that spoiled meat, but he has traveled around the world and knows what he is doing. He is one of the kindest and most positive inspiring people on UA-cam. He is a blessing to watch and I hope he is able to continue for a long time to come, no one is like him.
I hope he also protects himself from food poisoning😢

Mark rarely puts out the videos of him disliking the food. And I get it. Out of respect. He doesn’t wanna ruin some peoples businesses, but it would be nice to see him showing himself not liking the food more, just for a reaction lol. He’s the best tho. Can’t blame him

I think he just goes to well known places that generally have good food. Especially in Thailand, he goes to popular and well regarded places.
I don't think he is bieng fake. Its probably a good policy to only review good places. You don't make enemies. And you get to enjoy the food.
Most people watch mark to live vicariously. Not necessarily to find a hidden gem or an unknown place that has amazing food.
i once met a music reviewer and asked what happened when concerts/recordings were truly awful. he said he simply didn't review them. he's not interested in writing about them, especially when he could spend that time reviewing great music

I dunno, we already have Kitchen Nightmares for example. The whole point and purpose of Mark's travels and videos is to showcase different food cultures around the world. Why should he do that in a negative light? What purpose would that serve in the end?

My Favorite Weins moment was the whole episode of his visit to my sweet country Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹. His genuine love and friendliness was only matched by our genuine love &friendliness... He truly showed our culture and cuisine to the world. We are known for our Carnival, but now, -the best food!! 💖🇹🇹

My favorite Wiens moment was that one time he ate this one dish and after pausing to think, he smiled and swung his head to the side and said, “oh wow!!” He actually liked the dish a lot.

A combination of him closing his eyes, rolling his face and going "oh wow.", Pulling his Yummy face is when you know he likes the food. Finding foods he doesn't like is very hard to find.

Also I respect mark a lot. Even if he doesn’t like the food he try’s hard to still be respectful about it and if he does spit the food out he does it off camera.
Unlike a lot of other food reviewers how they spit out the food and make alot of unnecessary noises. And the funny part is when they go back to the same place they didn’t like the food a few time like they didn’t learn the first time lol 😂
From watching a couple of comments from his videos many expect him to be a hard food critic and fail to recognize hes not, hes a food observer. People cant stand that and say hes "fake" because hes "too positive", they rant that his content is "trash" because he dosent go off Gordon Ramsay style like some Foodtubers. He wont pull a Bourdain and give critical opinion. There are probably thousands of "influencers" that get the job done. The fact is Mark"s channel's an observational channel on food rather than a critical one.
if you want basic exploration of cultures around the world and their cuisine, The Mark Wiens channel is for you, if you want objective food criticism, Mark Wiens isnt for you. a quality honest food criticism channel i suggest is Daym Drops.

You know your food sucks if Mark outright says it's bad. If it's not that good usually he'll say it's just "okay" or a "bit bland or dry", but he'll try to stay mostly positive.
Mark is very forgiving and generous, if he says it’s bad then it’s BAD, he’s not a p#ssy about trying different/“unconventional” foods

As an Asian if a intestine smells bad it means the vendor didn't clean it well. That's why when we buy intestines we buy the very fresh and clean it ourselves.

Sometimes it’s not the food that’s the problem but how it was prepared and cooked. We have those intestines skewers here in the Philippines too but it was soo delicious cuz they really made sure it’s totally cleaned, marinated and barbecued well

I don't know why, I just find Mark Wiens to be unauthentic and his reactions to be so over the top like some sort of hype beast Twitch streamer from 2017. You know those people who are so nice you almost feel like they are hiding themselves from you? That's the energy I get from him. Frankly, I don't know the man, but he just gives me that vibe. And that's all it is, just a vibe.
