Joel reminds me of that kid whose parents didn't allow him to eat from the School Cafeteria because it was unhealthy so they made him bring his own lunch with healthy organic food I have never heard about.
Why is restarting the sentence at 1:16 so accurate? That doesn't seem like it would be tied to this archetype of person, yet it immediately brought back multiple memories of these guys doing exactly that.
@@ThePigasaurus I have met people that dress like an edgy fictional character that make these sorts of bold, absurd declarations about their abilities. For some reason it is also common for them to start a sentence, stumble over it, then restart it with nearly the same inflection. It doesn't seem like "pretends to be an anime character" and "has a brain thing that makes their dialogue glitch out" would necessarily be bundled traits but I've anecdotally encountered them together in almost every instance (albeit with a very small sample size, thankfully, although it's still weird this has happened more than once), and apparently Spence has had a similar enough experience to include that detail here as well.
This was comedic and so educational. I really wish parents would watch stuff like this with their kids. It would actually educate both the parents and the kids.

Having shared a lunch table with these kinds of kids, (weirdo/goth/punk/emo kids were often banished to these tables together), I really appreciate the empathy you extended toward young padowan here. 💙 They're a lot, but dang they have hearts of gold
we didn't have anime kids when i was going to school. a good third of my class watched normie anime on Toonami. DBZ, Cowboy Beebop, etc. but that wasn't really frowned upon. then again nobody formed their personality around it
Totally, I was always very shy and awkward and anxious as a kid so the “normal” kids didn’t like hanging out with me, So yeah all those nice anime kids and gay kids (back then people still hated and made fun of you and called you weird for being gay) and nerdy kids and ugly girls and boys (and all the other outcasts) were the only people I could make friends with

He just needs to learn not to overwhelm normies with references they are not gonna get, he needs to find his people. Part of me knows what it's like to be an awkward weeb, but part of me still wants to take his lunch money.

How do you guys keep hitting home runs like this. So funny and yet so close to the truth. Most importantly, it fucking awesome how you all produce too quality content w so much heart.
I used to be friends with all the anime kids. Yeah, they were kinda cringe, but they were nice and we all liked the same stuff. Then I moved to a small town and realized that, to them, I was the anime kid.
Same. I never watched anime and rarely used the internet, but a lot of my friends did. Anime fans used to bring up anime around me a lot, because of how I talked. It took me a while to learn that a lot of my mannerisms were acting as a shibboleth haha.
Everybody had those two friends in middle school with beards
I was that kid with the mustache
My best friend in middle school was a full grown man
100% of them were Mexican, Peach fuzz.
I was the epic ninja runner
Yeah it was pretty common. Everyone had like 6 inch beards and handlebar mustaches.
Have had my empathy turned on ever since, life hits different in empathy mode
Empathy
Teach me your ways.
Must have took a lot to empathize with the anime kid
So you became an... EMPATH
King shit
The voice he makes when he drops character and explains larping is so accurate.
He’s kinda nice just takes a little getting used to
I wanna see him run across the wall first
He seems friendly
You should talk to Mr. Jacob's either way
The funniest moment of this imo was
"Oh no the energy ball is gonna hurt us!"
"what if it does?"
Joel reminds me of that kid whose parents didn't allow him to eat from the School Cafeteria because it was unhealthy so they made him bring his own lunch with healthy organic food I have never heard about.
My sons a Joel

No pizza friday for me, just a sanwich on co-op whole wheat bread with sprouts, cucumber and hummus.
I just want to believe that he ended up becoming an integral part of their group.
These guys went to his bachelor party in 2042
"DONT FUCK WITH ME, I HAVE THE POWER OF GOD AND ANIME ON MY SIDE"
That sounds like a quote from a badass Christian Anime kid.
13 seconds in and I get hit with the good ol Cer Spence branded second hand embarrassment. I do not know how you do it good sir, but you do it so well
@huhuuh aohdoadoh ????

This channel has gone from shitposts to being a reflection of our own growth as a generation. I love this.
There's an anime guy in my gym and he actually acts like this. Very strong guy though.
He's a true danger
That sounds like the anime kid's next evolution.
He’s a super saiyan no cap
Hes the main character lmao
The anime kid scares me, I’m very afraid of his abilities and what he could do with them

I felt like a bully hearing "How about dragon these balls across your face" and then out loud to myself cackling and slapping my knee.
