That exhaust sits right behind the driver and ecu, which tends to cook the components in the ecu. That's probably why the exhaust was wrapped. There is an ecu harness extension that moves it away from the heat, just don't remember the site... also, honda jazz calipers make a good front break upgrade.

I’m a Honda guy and watching him put in 75w90 Just hurts my soul. Short term everything should be fine. However, you were going to develop shifting issues. The synchro are going to work correctly because of the thick oil. This is going to lead to grinding of gears. I hope you read this before you guys drive this thing.

As with most period Hondas, distributor bearings are a major failure point on the E07A, so you should probably check it. It's not too hard to change. The E07Z variant was available with both a turbo and COP ignition. I always thought it'd be fun to swap one in with a MS (particularly because ECU failure is also a period Honda failure point), especially if I could keep the ITB setup as well.

I've seen and read on a magazine of a Honda Beat with a K20 swap, probably almost 20 years ago for use in Gymkhana. I lost that magazine but this isn't the first time it has been done. Many enthusiasts are having a hard time figuring out how to drop a K series engine. I did read about some Honda Beat Owners in Japan dropping in a B18C engine with more ease.

Side note...amazing how easy that timing belt is with the engine out of the car....that was such a PITA doing it in the car...

The Boys at VTEC Academy have a lot of experience in various swaps if you ever run into trouble.
