I've put like 30k kilometers on my Cappuccino in 3 years and the only problem it's had is a broken alternator belt (on Tail of the Dragon). Even drove it on Pitt Raceway hours from home, and multiple autocrosses, Woodward Cruise in Detroit and down to TN for Tail and other twisties.
Raymond is an invaluable member of the F6A community here in the states, especially for those of us with AZ-1 / Caras. Glad to see he was a part of bringing this little guy back to life!
was super impressed with how quickly you diagnosed and fixed the transmission issue. if it was me I would have just said "aw shit I need a new clutch," but it turned out to be so simple!
Do you realise that you are missing an aluminum cover for the transmission tunnel ? It helps with chassis rigidity and keeps the propshaft safe from any road debris.
@@ellwoodwolf yes the s660, id like to have one of those cappuccinos with hayabusa engines on em, i thought ben (lin) is going to swap them to the stock ones
Have an unhealthy level of excitement to see you boys bring these little pocket projects back to life again. Especially with the mountain roads around you all!
Y’all’s videos are one of the few I wait till I get home, so I can watch it on a nice large 4k screen. Most other videos will do fine on a tiny phone screen. Love y’all’s visuals.
15:54 pretty cool to catch that on camera 🙌 things like that usually are not recorded from unexpectedly happen, but that shows how the clutch disc frees up ⬆️
I've thought it before but I have to say it so you have feedback. Your videography and lack of timelapses etc makes even a montage so watchable. I really enjoy everything you guys produce.
Bump starting to break the rust from the clutch and flywheel was genius, Genuinely wouldnt have thought of that and would have assumed something worse. Also for the battery, I recently just put a antigravity motorcycle battery in my Miata and just remade the terminals to fit, Now i have a battery that weighs the fraction of the weight, more CCA and is lithium so it will last wayyy longer.
You can pull apart a lot of starters and clean out when they've been dirtied that bad and get some use out of em again. Just pay attention closely to alignment and internals. Having an extra set of hands is nice to help get clear the brushes.
It's so nice to see the Kei cars getting back to road worthy!I have always loved these cars even tho they are tiny and consequently have tiny motors! They are awesome,I can't wait to see what you guys do next!
I hope you guys redeem yourselves with another trip in the cappuccino and the beat! I totally think they can do it, especially if he has look over the cars and do any necessary maintenance ahead of time. Just don’t take the highways and use the back roads. I would totally forgive you guys if you took a shorter trip than 3000 miles 😅
Love the content and I couldn’t happen to notice two different shops and lifts between this episode and the last. And the section titles for this episode made me chuckle too
LOL I literally just did a lot of this last month. My Cappuccino gas tank had sucked in on itself like an empty juice box and also developed a leak on one of the wrinkles. So I had it patched, reinflated and pulled it out the best I could and cleaned up the tank and diff and then sprayed any mildly brown areas with rust converter and protecter. Side note: prob should unplug your charcoal canister, because if it clogs it can do what happened to my tank...it's happened to a few people now...as far as I can tell I'm the first person to get a leak and fix it.
The Artic Cat snowmobile has a K6A engine, which is an evolution of the F6A (chain-driven and aluminium block IIRC). Also, it makes 110hp from the factory, so it can be an upgrade. Not an easy one on the electronic side though (custom ECU ? and rev counter issues). Of course some crazy swedish guy made the swap and then upgraded it to 180hp and broke driveshafts or the center shaft, I don't remember.
Car with a snowmobile engine is still fine. Guys from my former university built a whole ass carbon fibre plane with an experimental supercharger propulsion and it's all powered by a snowmobile engine :D Google it, it's UL-39 Albi prototype plane. Edit: My bad, it's actually a BMW S 1000 RR engine salvaged from a jetski, but still...
What a great edition Mark has been to the channel. I know others have pointed this out before, but having someone with the extra knowledge on vehicles is so needed. Especially with the work G&G on the regular
Hey guys, fun fact for the battery; the Prius battery is from 08 to current is still the same 12v battery. I've sold them for late 2000s to even model years close to 20. Also, sometimes checking for parts based on an engine that came with a domestically sold vehicle is agood work around the "Not sold in Us" issue for some imported vehicles.
That hard line on your fuel tank looked rusty. I just had to replace some hard line because fluid was weeping through where rust thinned out the metal. If you hold fluid in there and stick your finger on the end youll see if its weeping through in a few seconds.
it's easy as 1, 2, 3 it's easy as A, B, C Well... You have the B and the C, only the A is left. And whats A you ask? You guys need the Autozam AZ1 for the trinity!
We've got Flood Cappuccino, Catfish Camaro, and MORE for sale here: nocapp.printify.me/products
No Kum & Go merch available at the moment.
pump and dump 😮💨
Thank you for using the Oxford comma just now...
A Cappuccino with extra water...Can we call it a Dirty Americano now?
I have a kum n go beanie and sweatshirt, and they are honestly so cozy.
The Bens really putting their money towards the cars with the greatest chance of breaking again
Probably a bad idea if you're an individual, but for a youtube channel that equals more content out of a single car.
Lol you're not considered a gearhead
Why you mad? You dont want to see them being real car people and at least trying?
It’s so when it dies , it’s easier to convince his significant other, a hayabusa swap makes sense

Thank you Ben for supporting the Oxford Comma. It was starting to get lonely for us supporters.
who gives a fuck about an oxford comma - vampire weekend
Both of you ?
*Thank you, Ben

Seeing the kei car resurrected and zipping around mountain roads have made my day
Indeed. Just what the heavens have planned for these babies
Do you realise that you are missing an aluminum cover for the transmission tunnel ? It helps with chassis rigidity and keeps the propshaft safe from any road debris.
Maybe it was removed when they were dropping the tank and the video just didn't show it getting reinstalled?
Loving the Kei Car content. Even though we all know they exist not many channels actually highlight them.
I dream of a s660. If that’s legal I’ve got 140 lbs to lose....

@@ellwoodwolfcool-ass car that one is. I'm a fan of the N-One myself lol
Those roads at the end of the video remind me of the best motoring test road. I think its time we get you guys put them to proper use!!
Definitely looked like gunsai. Must be nice having a portal to Gunma, Japan so close to the shop. 😂
Lol part of my brain was like "you're on the wrong side of the road!"

Yay! The starter works and I'm glad it went to a new home!

One of the best UA-cam channels about automotive! I especially fell in love with the series featuring road trips across the USA in JDM cars.😍
I've thought it before but I have to say it so you have feedback. Your videography and lack of timelapses etc makes even a montage so watchable. I really enjoy everything you guys produce.
Every episode feels like a month apart. Best channel.

I'm so glad to see both the Beat & Cappuccino back!!!
I love seeing this little car run again. I'm glad you didn't give up on it.
It’s truly amazing how creative us mechanics need to be ! Just used an alternator from a snow mobile !
The snowmobile actually had 110hp and plenty of torque in 600lb.
You can pull apart a lot of starters and clean out when they've been dirtied that bad and get some use out of em again. Just pay attention closely to alignment and internals. Having an extra set of hands is nice to help get clear the brushes.
Really happy for your little swimmer ! :) Wish you many miles and many smiles :)

Awesome! So glad to see you guys save & revive a truly awesome little car. And the Honda Beat is excellent too!
The water flowing sound effect at the start is a nice touch..! ^^
It warms my heart to see the Cappuccino and Beat both back from the dead.
So glad to see this thing alive
Alternator and starter can get rebuilt. Pretty sure a specialized shop could help you with that!
Mark is so good on camera. Waiting to be in frame before letting the rocks fall from the exhaust. Hilarious
Have the alternator rebuilt locally it's cheap, I paid $80 for my kei alt to be rebuilt works amazing

That boost blue FL5 in the background is my dream car. Such a pretty color!
At 16:53, change the speed to 2x. Have fun!
"AFR lookin right
AFR lookin tight
We need gas tho.. real bad
Lil cappo real fast"
I'm so happy this car lives! Every video about it makes me want to go out and buy one!
Mark is in like every vid, man works hard fr
I'm surprised this channel doesn't have more subscribers. Great content and keep it coming.
I always made this car a MONSTER in GT4 lol, good to see it getting love
Pretty fun content! The truck to get the transmission and clutch unstuck was fantastic!
So happy to see it back running! Ill def pick up some merch, as a thanks for several gears of entertainment :)
Great job! Enjoyed all the little tips and tricks.
I like how Lin actually works on his car with Mark, as oppose to Thorn making Mark do all the work.
As the owner of a '92 Cappuccino, this is information I can use! I'll be here every day for Kei car shenanigans!
I'm so happy that this car lives again
Love the content and I couldn’t happen to notice two different shops and lifts between this episode and the last. And the section titles for this episode made me chuckle too
Nobody talking about that beautiful boost blue FL5 in the background?!?
a video with all your cars driving together would be sick as hell. racing the cappucino would be sick. merch is sick

Good stuff on the battery. I was just looking for one for my Evo 2.
Love the Honda beat cameo at the end
That synchronized walk up to Advanced was really satisfying to watch LOL
The swag is awesome. Grabbing a sweatshirt!! 🎉🎉

G&G is about the only decent automotive content out rn
Building the first choice kei cars for another road trip. Sounds great.
A 96 OBD2 civic also shares the same alternator. Looks exactly the same as the one I accidentally ordered for my 93 B18c swapped civic
Dude that's awesome that it shares an engine with the snowmobile
Kei cars rule! Glad they are both alive again.
Sounds great, looks like a blast to drive!
You’re a genius, Ben!
Yes, Ben! Oxford comma dominance! It is the superior way!

I guess they would do a cross-country trip again 😂
currently finishing one up myself that needed saving- they're fun cars to save!
love the shirt designs! might just snag a hoodie for my wife for xmas

5:22 them casually carrying half of a car 💪🏾
I used a Chevy Bolt 12v battery in my Beat. It fit perfectly.
The best part was impacting the rusty hose clamps on the fuel tank and then hand tools to do up the subframe and suspension 😂
I like the Cuppa, but the Beat can't be beat! Though the Figaro comes close due to cuteness.
The ending made me so happy
"We used SNOWMOBILE and PRIUS parts to Rebuild the flooded Capuccino" -video title that i clicked on
Seriously jealous of that road at the end there. And the cars. But really, the road!!
So glad to these kei cars ripping again
Kum & Go merch goes hard. Got myself a KG hat when I was passing through Missouri/Oklahoma to see some family.
I love how gg makes videos it so engaging.. I watch all videos..
I feel another road trip coming in those bad boys again .! 😎🔥
And i bet Ben will break that Cappucino again 😂
This made me happy!
That Kapuchino shirt graphic is amazing
Those shirts are hilarious!!!! Especially the catfish.
It’s not just the Kei car that had the JIS pencil post battery. My 1991 Nissan Skyline GTR uses the same Prius battery.
love these little cars
lol milky fluid..nope no water 😂
Tell me you’ve never ridden a snowmobile without telling me you’ve never ridden a snowmobile. 🤣 But another great video.

Had to do the same. My damn skyline has a prius battery in it now.
I totally love these cars. I wish there was a way to get one affordably.
loving the kei car content!
i love the Kei cars, i wonder if they'll do more with them? either way love to see that both ben's kei cars are up and running again!
If you ever have a car with a stuck clutch again, put it in the highest gear. That puts more pressure on the clutch to pop it loose.
The Kei cars are back! 😎
the beat sounds much raspier than the capucinno did... awesome cars
