Never fished this way. I however use the Rapala f3 and f5 and a slew of jerkbaits here in Cherokee NC. And have absolutely slayed them. Great info on how to fish this type of lure.
Use it down here in FL in the canals on double rig 10 inch apart with two different colors, really cool when you get two at a time. Great vedio, keep up the good work
So glad you revisited this. Truly enjoy watching your videos for all the great info, tips, and techniques with sincere excitement for the sport. Keep I the great work.
TM's are the bomb for sure. Down here in NC they are lure of choice in our delayed harvest streams. We have to use single hook artificial in those streams from Oct 1st thru May 31st. If u know what you're doing , keep playing with colors and float depths you'll have a blast day in and day out. I've even got multiple fly rodders using them and the mini magnets . For that type of fishing nothing beats them. This year I've already caught over 800 Trout and roughly 600 have been on the ole Magnets. Good video per the norm.
Awesome video very detailed.. I caught my first fish on a trout magnet and now that I know all these tricks I’m sure it’ll get better. Recently i started fishing with the pinched crawlers and gulp minnows and they are also very effective.
You said you were going to tell the "magic" of the TM jig head & why you like it so much but you forgot to. Think you could explain that in your next video? Also, that jig body is great for quite a few different species, excellent little bait. I keep mine soaked in flavor (months) and I also tip my hook with either a Berkley crappie or trout nibble just for a bit of extra flavor & scent. As for colors, they all work. Maybe some better than others but they all work. Great video bud...
What a beautiful Brownie. That pool looks amazing, would love to see you fish it with creature baits, soft plastic crawfish etc, no bobber just trundled back along the bottom. I reckon that's where the real big boys+girls will be hanging out.
NRV - I received those Fire Worms in the mail over the weekend, super stoked to head out and give them a shot later this week. We have some storms moving through tomorrow, so Wednesday and Thursday should be pretty ideal around here. Thanks again for the Pautzke Fire Worms and all of the excellent content that you provide.
I have a new 10' ML match rod that I can't wait to get trout fishing! It'll be an awesome jig'n bobber rig...it'll be great for magnets or crappie jigs for crappie.
How do you use corn for trout, I do size 6-8 hook, 1 spit shot and a bobber 3 ft from the hook, I would like to see a video about that!!! Great videos though, I’m decently new to trout fishing, your vids help alot
Awesome video, I need to hit the small creeks to give my TMags a try. I landed 10 this weekend on the rooster tails and mepps, they were hitting the orange colours hard! My best weekend of fishing in my short career :)
Great video! Trout magnets have always been hit or miss for me. But hopefully using these tips hopefully will help. I always use 4lb test just so I can cast a bare trout magnet without a float
8lbs line, use a bait holding hook with a single trout magnet, toss it as far as you can upstream and let the current take it downstream in smaller creeks. I got a ton of decent sized trout with that method
7:09 "GOT 'IM!!!" (kid with the white cap across the creek comes up struggling on the line) "ewwwww... fought real good but looks like he swallowed it. This one we'll have to keep and eat."
The only lure I've found to rival the trout magnet is the renosky keystone minnow jig. Between those two, I've caught over 100 fish in a day once. Black and red was the trout magnet color that performed the best in that water. 👍
Did it work for other species I live in Washington state and our fishing is very slow we got a lot of trout but I’m new to creek fishing I bought them but idk if they work for different species we ain’t got the best creeks near me
Must be nice here in Pa we are so over populated with trout fisherman waiting for opening day of stocked trout season and it's like that for about 2-3 months. I catch and release but most guys around here would never dream of it. We have no natives. Water doesn't stay cold enough.
The only time I’ve used the trout magnet so far I actually caught a catfish. I would have spent more time fishing that day but the weather turned nasty. And I used it at a local pond; haven’t tried a river or creek yet.
Hey there hows it going my friend? are you in the States or Europe? reason i ask is i want to buy a combo kit as well but my friends over here in Scotland say i'm wasting my time as its only stocked trout that go for those kind of baits and not wild browns like i fish for, hope you can clear this up, cheers in advance Tight lines ✌💙👍 from Scotland
good vid usefull info i am going get started with trout magnet have been using fly rod/flies and micro spinning rods/spinners.some days they dont work.so once i learn how to vary depth with the slip bobber and change colors of the magnets as you have suggested i will have more productive time on the rivers and have a third method. question why are u using the gloves?
Hey dude as always I dig the videos. Can I suggest one you using crank/jerk baits? Haven’t used them for trout to much would love a little tutorial video of yours about them
Does the neon still work for wild trout? Most of the tributaries near me have wild browns (Colorado) that are very pressured, and I'm wondering if this or the natural colors would be better.
You said at the end that the most important part of fishing a trout magnet is florocarbon line. Why is that? I ask because I currently have braid on my ultra light reels and have some trout magnets that I’ve yet to fish. Will a fluorocarbon leader work? I’ve never used fluorocarbon on any of my spinning reels or baitcasters. Always have used braid or mono.
Cracking video buddy. I’ve got some of those little trout magnet floats . Now I’m quite new to the style of Fishing. Just wondering do I need to use a jig head with a little lure or just a plain hook? Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you and all the best to you 👍🏽😀🎣
Have you ever had any luck with using a lizard/salamander presentation? I was throwing around a green pumpkin lizard on a Texas rig for some smallmouth and hooked up a giant brown trout. Just wondering if I got super lucky
im trying to learn to use these properly. what is the ideal strike zone off the bottomfor trout usually? how do you add split shot. how far up from the magnet vs float?
I haven’t caught a single trout on my kit yet 4lb test nothing but imma keep trying it out hope I can find a small pond around me for it to work I’m using it on the bank fishing on a big lake and nothing lots of video using magnets the lake or pond or creeks are way smaller than the lake I go to fish
A great wee informative vid i'd sure love that box of trout magnet accessories you were using here😍 so if your doing a giveaway that would be an awsome prize,🤞 keep me in mind lol.👌 take it easy n Tight lines❤🎣✌💙👍 Craig 🙋♂️
I’m going to try that order of colors next time. Pink black/green, yellow, white(w/black jig) then gold, pinched crawler and trout worm.... did i get it right?
I like using all the colors of Trout magnets,I use the green and black most often, I'm looking for uv gloves,I wear Uv shirts,,I have skin cancer, so I have to be careful how much sun I take,,,

So many species will hit the trout magnet. Pink catches the most for me.
Berkley Gulp Minnows work well on the trout magnet jig head as well.
New to the Trout Magnet. I fish them on a BFS tackle in small rivers around Bogota , Colombia. Nice results!! Thanks for this tutorial.
Great tutorial. Never hurts to refresh the use of lures. Thank you for a great video.

A little late to this video but would you mind sharing what that little tackle box is at 5:12? Looks perfect for my UL set up!
This is waaaay late, but someone else might be interested. It is a Plano box, either a 3449 or a 3450. Very handy. Get the bigger 3450.

I just caught 33 fish on the natural craw!
I smacked a huge dragon fly with my fly rod mid cast last summer and killed it. The bite shut down pretty quick after that lol
Whoever designed that float was definitely a guitar player.
Can u plz give me advice on using trout magnet in deeper water! I’m using a 6 foot ultralight rod with trout magnet sos line
With deeper water you need a slip or ever bobber to really get the lure down
@@NRVOutdoors thank you for the reply!!! One other thing, could I use slip bobber can I do it without leader? I use straight line
Is your lure box a package kit you can buy, or is this just your personal collection? How about NRV collections?
