Honestly I would like to see the shard of the traveller come into play for the season finale, possibly to empower the effects of Savathûn's heirloom. It would be an amazing callback to Red War. At that, both times that we had gone to the shard, it was to save the traveller (as well as the universe itself this time).
This is my jam right here! The shard is a big example of light changing, on a paracausal level. It would be interesting to see how Savathun could use the broken piece to achieve her goal. I think in many ways, the Shard operates as its own entity, yet still connected to the Traveler, just as the Veil is.
It could be a piece to the solution. Keep in mind that next season is more than likely gonna play a part in getting through the portal. I feel like both the shard and that egg we found in the season of the lost are gonna play a huge part in it.
@dropkick3024 True, I completely forgot about that part of season of the Lost. It'd definitely be good to see the corsairs introduced again as a contingency to keep Savathûn in check.
@le_fishy like, I feel like that would be a cool way to get through, and maybe it's what the 15th wish is? Maybe Savathun stole it when she corrupted the dreaming city. It could be what she gives us when we kill Xivu and the Leviathan eater. Which could explain how everyone else got through since Bungie did confirm we are the ones going through the portal, but we do see the others there as well. Keep in mind this is a theory it could be something else, but I feel like this could make some good tension, like imagine the 15th can only do one thing so like if we wish it to go through the portal it's like that for everyone. Meaning Mara can't use it to cure the dreaming city. And a whole season trying to force a egg to hatch is interesting.
Iv noticed something about the Hive and us Guardians, a lot of their rituals/means of increasing power are very similar to our activities like the Crucible, just taken to the most violent extremes to the point of perma-death whereas ours are meant as simple competition to maintain our skills.
Teeechnically, we guardians also blow each other to bits.. The only difference being we have Ghosts that can bring us back instead of peeps staying shreds of flesh/steel from SMGs
That ghost that went to her when the others tried to save him by closing rank. That stuck with me. All he wants is the traveler safe, but he knows. He knows what's going to happen.
Once again the biting and hilarious Irony of Immaru being mad and afraid of our Gaurdian for crushing ghosts, mean while Savathun is literally doing the same thing just seeing if she can glitch the system.
Pharmakos also makes me think of 'Pharmakeia' - which is a term for witchcraft and a term used in modern witchcraft practices, most specifically in the 'Poison Path.'
My thoughts are the crystals are commonly referred to as 'batteries' So potentially a contingency if there is a cut connection from the traveller that the power from 'the light' can be syphoned from these batteries/crystals instead.
It's interesting how many moving parts (both literally and figuratively) are in Savathûn's Spire and her plan for us this season. I mean it's perfectly reflected in all three activities this season when you think about it. She's having us go through the Spire to clear it out while honing our Hive magic at the same time, then we to decend into the oubliette where we use her mechanisms of honing Sword Logic to empower Eris to fight Xivu Arath, then we go into the Imbaru Engine simply out of skepticism and "accidentally" (we all know the Guardian is just thirsty for loot) feed Savathûn Cunning, or whatever other plan she has for us being there. Gotta admire the efficiency.
We know the light had a negative pressure and was moving down to thralls unlike tithes which moved up. I reckon Savathun would've investigated that and explored those possibilities and hiw she could ues itcand havest it. I imagine she would've explored the possibilities of turning thralls, cursed thralls and ogres into Gaurdians. Can you imagine how useful a self resurrecting cursed thrall would be? Or the power of an ogre Gaurdian? Sge may well have seen if her song weavers could include aspects of the light in their songs to give them more powervand reach. She may have experimented on using the light to create Shriekers. She may have explored how quickly a Gaurdian resurrects and if this was related to the damage it sustained. She'd also probably want to know how much is remembered with successive resurrections. There's loads of things she could've done. She is the most intelligent of the Hive Gods and with intelligence comes curiosity and finding out the limits and breadth of a system so you know how to create usable predictive models.
Hello Byf! I watch your videos regularly or hear them traveling to or from work. Somehow I imagine British old man by your voice. But you are young with an excellent narrator voice.
to ad on to the ad segment in windows and on most phones the nightlight filter is very useful for reducing eyestrain as well reducing the amount of blue light getting to your eyes as well but i dont recommend turning it up all the way since it gives everything a vibrant orange tinge cuz its changing the temperature of the screen but i usually keep mine at about 30-70 percent that seems to be the sweetbspot where i can reduce headache amounts while also preserving decent color accuracy, this on top of also having my own prescription blue light glasses helps alot theyre not name brand like gunnars but theyve done wonders and ive pretty much stopped having blue light induced headache all together even though my screen time hasnt drastically gone down, if anyone actually reads this i hope it helps
I feel like she wants to know what happens to the light when it both leaves the guardian, as well as where the ghost's light goes and why. Ontop of likely wanting to know if there is a way to completely imbue a guardian in the ghosts light so the guardians no longer need the ghost to resurrect. Because imagine this, if a guardian had its ghosts light, they would never need the ghost again, as they could just bring themselves back from the dead. Such an ability would make throne worlds completely worthless in terms of their resurrection ability, and also make you physically unkillable so long as there is light remaining. Something tells me the Traveler knew she would make these kinds of experiments, and that is why it gave her so many ghosts and guardians. As well as to why she collected old dead guardian's ghost shells. So as to study them before going about her current experiments to see the best course of action to take. As cruel as they are, she doesn't take me as someone who will do something without a purpose. And it might even be intentional that she gave her ghost to the vanguard, as she likely wants us to crush him after she figures out how to absorb his light after he is crushed. But until then he is acting as a safety precaution as well as a insurance policy to keep the vanguard off her till she is ready.
The experiments couldn't yield the Heirloom as it's already been in Savathun's possession, sealed inside the imbaru engine most likely. But, the experiments could have shown whether or not it could have been replicated...imagine not only lightbearing Hive, but also Hive pulling power directly from the veil; with Savathun utilizing both at once.
Just wondering if there was a final outcome of savathun's song because before witch Queen it was foreshadowed a lot with strange powers like controlling shaxx (slightly) it seems like a chekovs gun was set up but never fired, is it just imbaru or do we think she has some ulterior motive
The text with the Arc crystal, she took a Knight and an Acolyte; Void and Solar users to possibly put into the Arc crystal. Could be how she's found the ability to seamlessly switch between the 3 light energy types when fighting her.
In lore guardians are able to switch between classes and subclasses at will. Felwinter is described at one point using abilities from both warlocks and titans, and Ikora in the Witch Queen campaign uses a Nova Bomb and then immediately after uses Chaos Reach. I took it as making a void crystal from the knight, and then making a solar crystal from the acolyte. I will say though, if each crystal is made from ONE lightbearer, that is a lot of ghosts and hive guardians being sacrificed in order to create as many as we see.
@@riverwisp Y'know, the full scope of the quantity of Ghosts sent out into our solar system hasn't really ever been made clear, if I'm remembering right. Who knows just _how many_ of those buggers there are - and even if a mere 10% of them "defected" to the Hive faction, imagine what that says about the mind-boggling number of Ghosts who must have been swarming all over our solar system... and who eventually became just another resource.
God do not remind me of the Eye of Savathun, that thing has given me ptsd so strong that whenever I hear the sound of a shrieker opening and I don't know where is all logic just flies out the window (tbh it's honestly a problem but I guess that's what happens when you spend a month straight right back near when I starter playing more actively trying to get thorn)
The lore with the ghosts could have happened before she got the light. If these were the hive ghosts, there would be no need for the cage. Maybe this is a glimpse into how she convinced so many of them to join her; capturing them, caging them, and over time convincing them of her intentions to help the traveler. She doesn’t need to have the light herself in order to experiment with it.
Omg I think this is the first time I have seen the face that goes with the voice. I always thought you sounded like my friend Rouse but with a deeper voice. So I imagined you to look similar, glasses and all. Amazed how apt this was. Thank you for all the years of Lore
2 things: I have glasses like this myself, but they're single-vision only (I need bifocals, because old lady). I just hope Gamer Advantage allows for bifocals with the anti-blue coating. That's thing 1. Thing 2: I want to see Savathun come back as an antihero--I think she kinda served that purpose in Season of the Lost, and was maneuvering that way in Witch Queen.
man seeing those savathun's song clips made me miss titan even more. I know we kind of got it back but it just ain't the same. at least Ghosts is good, I just wish we had more in those archology style tunnels.
On the topic of savathun turning hive guardians into crystals. Maybe what we saw in the savathuns song strike was actually some of her experimentation with light before we really knew what was going on. And then knowing what she does now used that exact same method but on her own guardians who were loyal. Seems like manipulating light was always a goal of hers whether the traveler gave it to her or not.
Is there a reason why people keep assuming The Lucient Brood only had the Light for around a week during Witchqueen? Savathun's death and resurrection as a Lightbearer happened immediately after Season of the Lost's ending. The Alliance were searching for her for months because they didn't realize she had died already. Savathun presumably had the Light during most of that time. We just didn't realize it until she pulled Mars back alongside her Throneworld.
@@kappega Witchqueen. We hear about the search for Savathun at the beginning. When we see the scene between the Traveler and Savathun we see its after she was weak from the ritual to free her back in Season the Lost. Its why she switched up with Osiris. She needed an escape as it was said she would be weak afterward during the season.
See, this is part of the problem with Bungie tying the flow of time in Destiny to the flow of time IRL, and not thinking ahead when trying to maintain a live story. Season of the Lost got extended by months of time due to the delay in the release of Witch Queen, and so the finale for Lost got pushed until that final week before WQ's launch. If they simply made the finale active a month before WQ launched, the extremely tight window of time in which Savathun had to do all of this crazy prepwork and creation of contingency plans while experimenting with the Light as well as fighting off Rhulk and trashing his Pyramid, well, that wouldn't be as much of a problem as it's turning out to be. I already had an issue with it back when Witch Queen dropped, but the more we hear about this stuff the bigger of a kerfuffle it's turning into.
@@trashjash Another possibility is that it could be during season of the lost, or even before. We see immaru in the cutscene where savvy does the die with his trademark chitin shell, so we could be looking at a window of time that's greater than a couple weeks.
10:10 I love how this proves that Immaru is just irrationally against humanity. He hates us for crushing Hive Ghosts, because all the other enemy races supposedly never go for the medic despite countless examples of them all doing so, but Savathun is doing it for research purposes. He doesn't like how we view and use the Light, but wants the Lucent Brood to learn it like we have so they're more effective. He hates that we don't go all in on Sword Logic, but only just now learned about the Crucible apparently? He's a great character, but one you just gotta love hating for his own shortcomings.
I am just really curious as to how savathun managed to think of and record all of the posible outcomes for immaru, give however many more instructions and experiment on a ton of stuff while having lost her memory, all in between the end of season of the lost and the witch queen expansion.
Considering She duped us into giving her memories back after she was an amnesiac, I'm almost certain she thought of this BEFORE she had the Light. Clever Gal has been at this kind of game for presumably millions of years. Time kind of becomes irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
15:41 "I want to keep the Traveler safe" doesn't require an actual plan backing up that sentiment. And once she knew the Young Wolf was traipsing about, playing detective, she knew it was a matter of time before that plan was revealed to her. (Also, that plan existed beforehand, and those Threadweaver Wizards probably did everything in their power to make the steps of that plan happen immediately once Savathun gave the order) Depending on exactly how many Ghosts were tempted into her clutches, though, there'd need to be some industrial-scale Ghost-popping, and Hive Guardian-popping as well, to get Savathun that massive Light stockpile we saw in the Apothecary.
It's crazy to think to truly kill savathun you have to kill her in her throne world. And kill her ghost. No other being in existence has those 2 requirements for a true death
And even then, she doesn’t care. She said it herself, that there’s a way that we can glean the info she holds without resurrecting her, and that if that occurs, the Hive will have a new Queen, that being Eris. Immaru obviously really doesn’t want that. Then again, Savathun’s known for trickery, so I’m probably just contributing to her imbaru.
@@l1ghtzephyr_ I kinda doubt it. It seems far-fetched and I don’t think Bungie would put THAT much effort into something after the raid. Don’t see it being based on much of anything here. But again, we’ll just have to wait and see
@twelved4983 Hey, ya never know. Maybe once we kill the main one in control, who I'll call _The Overseer_ ,the Predecessors will manifest Echos of The Witness, kinda like how Oryx'a Likensss and his Echos were.
I wonder if Savathuun's song has anything to do with Imbaru. It's always stuck in your head, and you can never quite remember it or where the time came from. The person "infected" is always slightly confused about it. It's perfect for a small continuous stream of Imbaru power.
Im pretty sure savathun has been speaking through imaru this entire season. Mainly voz fynch confirmed thag guardians can still talk to their ghosts while dead ( we see and hear him talking to his guardian and refusing to ressurect him) Meaning theres a good chance savathun is telling imaru what to say or at the very least making sure he gives us speciric info to lead us down a specific path.
Long philosophical rant below, feel free to move about the universe guardians. Still here? What I love about ship lore from the ship is how it serves as a philosophical counterweight to stasis (and strand). Stasis showed us that one's perception, personality, and personal sense of ethics/morality defined if the power was 'good' or bad'. The lore from the ship shows that the cruelty, remorseless murder and a general sense of disdain for concepts like 'compassion' among the hive is not due to the dark (at least not entirely). Instead, the dark was just a first 'push, with the following millennia of slaughter and killing, both against other races and themselves, being what caused them to be what they are. In short, exactly what the Witness and Rhulk wanted from them, living weapons for their purposes. The only difference is that one set of those weapons have become a double-edged blade (because they still endanger the coalition and thus the traveler's defense, but also work against the Witness) Light or dark, the hive hare monsters, not because of what they wield or who they serve, but because their choices and actions have instilled into them a lack of empathy or compassion, doing whatever they want because they want to and are strong enough to do so. I personally think that the hive, dark of lucent, are too far gone to ever be 'redeemed'. The only exceptions I can think of are hive lightbearers that are separated from the brood before they get pulled in or hive who reject the worm pact and 'somehow' become krill again.
Regarding the Pharmakos entry, I think it makes sense that these ghosts are being recruited and not sacrificed. Remember, ghost *shells* are not ghosts, and the discarded ghost shells behind her might not represent dead ghosts so much as ghosts whose shells she's replaced with hive chitin (it has to happen somehow, right?) as part of a sort of induction ritual.
There is another definition for heirloom, denoting a traditional variety of plant or breed of animal which is not associated with large-scale commercial agriculture. Could it be something like a screeb, not like it would be but just a thought.
I think that Savathun experimented with the Light because she didn't see the Guardians doing so. Bear in mind, this was back when we were all locked to skill trees, and I feel like there's an in-universe explanation for that (like there's an in-universe explanation for Stasis weakening itself as Guardians wielded it). Savathun knew the value of experimentation, so she began to test out the true limits of what the Light could do.
I'm wondering if these experiments are related to her heirloom. She could be using the ghosts to siphon their light to power the heirloom because of the possibility of it being paracusle
So if I was to guesse Savathun was kill ghost to find the way into the traveler. If she knew this was the witnesses end game move and thought it impossible to block or stop, than she would need a way to follow. Now I'm of the opinion that Savathun has laid this plan out from before the collapse.
Byf, my guy, TAKE SOME TIME OFF! These neon nerds will be just fine tithing without you for a bit. Lore Daddy looking like a nap would be transcendental these days. Please don't forget to take care of yourself, Guardian.
I noticed it too. He appears a bit fatigued, at least judging by his eyes (or maybe I’m just used to only hearing his voice). I hope our lore master gets the opportunity for some r and r after this season’s quest line ends.
umm, just a thought, but if Savathune sacrificed her own Hive Gaurdians (and their Ghosts) to create and store the Light, then was it intentional that we have been doing just the same to her light carrying brood? does this mean we have been playing into her hands this entire time? Man.....Savathune is just one clever B!#@(
I need help, I stopped playing after Lightfall as I got bored and have fully lost track of the lore knowing that I’m probably 6 months out! Can anyone give me a low-key in bullet form? I was avid Byf watcher for years prior so I know the who’s and what’s but a low down would be amazing
S20: Defience Shadow Legion are taking prisoners after the failed attack on the witness, we break them out with the help of Mara Sov who knights us as Queenguard. Amanda holiday is killed during a mission, in retaliation we blow up a cabal flagship S21: Titan has returned and a distress call by Slone is picked up, after fighting through taken we arrive in area under the methane sea and meet Asha, a worm god that never fell to darkness Throughout the season we collect egregore coral so that Slone can "commune" with Asha, letting her talk to us, she tells us about the origins of the Witness At the end of the season Asha is attacked by Xivu Arath but we managed to break her free from a ritual Xivu was using to corrupt her. Asha tells us that to enter the portal in the Traveller that we need Savathun to be resurrected as she holds the secrets
(Sorry for length. I'm just thorough with my thoughts is all and think too much. Much love. What are your thoughts?) The game continuing past the light/darkness with The Final Shape, the only real powerful baddies I can think of being brought forward are the powerful ascendant beings that used to live in the ascendant plane. The Witness being manipulated by the voices in The Deep with the expectation that TFS is their will when it's just a means to unlock the paracausal door to The Deep. Bing, bang, boom ascendant baddies. I like weird lore and such about things we think we understand but we're just ignorant of the past. Like, maybe black holes and our universe were like subspace travel to them and shorter distance/time. The ascendants used them like wormholes to traverse in and out of The Deep that's far more vast than our universe. An event in a war, the separation of The Traveler and Veil, something sealed it off from them, allowing life to flourish in our universe without direct assault from most if not the most powerful ascendant beings. The Ahamkara we know about and a few other species were stuck in our universe and took advantage of the lack of the big ascendant baddies to be powerful. The Deep can influence and trickle power through the billions of years but never break through. The devil on your shoulder, the power of wish magic, conceptual tithes, etc. Billions/Trillions of years later, the Witness forges The Final Shape, the key that sets them free. =D
Really hope Eris does something completely unexpected since she needs to trick the witch Queen to stay ahead of the hive. I’m guessing she’ll resurrect her ghost allowing her to channel powers of light and darkness, become immortal again. Eris A hive god of dark and light kills Sivu arath and says “my vengence is pure enough to cut through your war and your deception, aiat” also tanking savathun a powers. just imagine that, she does all these rituals to craft a blade of such piercing light it needs to be sheathed in darkness just like her spirit.
I have 2 theories: 1. Savathun was using Truth to Power to create Embaru for her engine. 2. Savathun wants to use the Light to escape the Destiny Universe, and come to the "real" universe.
Stole my comment from yesterday ;) but sort of. Truth to Power is a way to mantle Savathun. Ikora confirms this in Hidden Dossier. Enjoy the truth, o'reader mine.
Those gamer glasses wouldn't help me lawl, for what ever reason blue light doesn't affect my sleepiness only anxiety, wiki walking, good books, caffeine, raspberry stuff and excitement. But that's ADHD and autism with added depression crap for you :P
Remember what fynch said back in in witch queen? He can still hear his dead guardian screaming at him to be revived and tells him no in response. This is also why guardians aren't automatically revived in game and we can choose when we come back. Our ghost can hear us even in death. All that to say what if imaru has been talking with savathun this entire season?😮 😮😮😮
Byf, I want to point out issues with your sponsor's claims. To us, it looks like clear lenses, so I want to ask you a simple question: Do you see the color blue through the lense while wearing them? If so, they don't filter blue light but Blue* light. What is Blue* light? It's more commonly known as UV-A and UV-B. If your screen is emitting UV, your eyes will feel strain, yes, but your skin may also start to burn, akin to a sunburn. To filter out the blue light of the claim, your lense should be yellow, blue's opposite. Because the lense absorbs the blue light. Don't get me wrong, UV light is damaging, and looking into sources of UV light will lead to damage to your eye. Better to just avoid that in the first place. If it helps, take a nap. That'll help reset you, give your eyes some room to recover from UV exposure, and reduce stress.
I had been honestly hoping throughout the build up to WQ that the Hive Ghosts would be revealed as being created by Savathun's magics from the collection of dead Ghost parts she'd gathered while disguised as Osiris in Season of the Hunt.
I found that whole mystery really confusing, because I was convinced that they'd straight up told us during marketing that Savathun had been given the light willingly. The whole campaign I was thinking "this mystery would have been really cool if they hadn't told us the answer six months before it came out".
Yeah the timing of the WQ campaign with some of the lore revealed this season makes no sense. Either we revealed her memories to Savathun or she knew quite enough and had her own plans going for quite awhile before that campaign began. Be ause tricksy, lying Savvy of course.
That’s a terrible idea 1. She can’t be trusted 2. That wouldn’t stop the witness they already had access to her throne world 3. She’s mega weak even being too scared to fight rhulk
This story sucked byf the idea of eris as a hive god was cool but this ending sucked we literally played with crystals for 3 weeks and it didn’t help eris kill xivu, we used our 10 weeks of tithes to do that. Each week was just filled with the same dialogue to watch out for eris, that she might be evil, and the finale which was supposed to get us through the portal wasn’t even explained. Cool that savathun is alive and we have her ghost but come on thats it. This is what the season led to. In xivu so called “ army” there wasnt even a single yellow bar just the same boss with some easy ad clear Yet again major plot wholes everywhere.😢
Was bro REALLY expecting a Hive God with SEVERAL years of hype to die in a SEASONAL STORY? Like yeah the dialogue was tiring, Immaru: You're all doomed, im gonna run away, the hive WILL destroy you. Ikora: Im worried about Eris. Eris: Im not gonna turn evil lol, but give me tithes, I'll take the burden alone. But I don't know what to say, you thought Xivu, who hasn't even been seen fully before, to show up, fight, die and have a permanent death in 1 season spread over 7 weeks? I don't get any of these complaints besides the dialogue and the easy boss fight.
@jordan8436dns "it didn't help Eris kill Xivu" So, her banishing Xivu from the throne world, making her mortal and killable, which we did by tithing her and having her reject the sword logic while being the 'most powerful hive' is NOT helping kill Xivu? I don't know how much more close you want to "help kill Xivu" than making her mortal and vulnerable. We had to kill Oryx, Crota and Savathun more than once, that won't be necessary for Xivu. It's literally setting up the payoff for another season/DLC I really don't get the point you was trying to make
@@potato1341you dont read much do u what I had said was that our three weeks crystal collecting like it would somehow get our new soulmate didnt help defeat xivu. Our 10 weeks of tithing combines with savathuns tithes “helped”

to ad on to the ad segment in windows and on most phones the nightlight filter is very useful for reducing eyestrain as well reducing the amount of blue light getting to your eyes as well but i dont recommend turning it up all the way since it gives everything a vibrant orange tinge cuz its changing the temperature of the screen but i usually keep mine at about 30-70 percent that seems to be the sweetbspot where i can reduce headache amounts while also preserving decent color accuracy, this on top of also having my own prescription blue light glasses helps alot theyre not name brand like gunnars but theyve done wonders and ive pretty much stopped having blue light induced headache all together even though my screen time hasnt drastically gone down, if anyone actually reads this i hope it helps

Buddy I got some BAAAAAAD news for you. 😅
Byf I agreed blue lights filters do help since I added it to my prescription glasses, but they won't help until you get some rest and touch grass.
Ready for another banger of a byf video (after two unskipable ads)
Just wondering if there was a final outcome of savathun's song because before witch Queen it was foreshadowed a lot with strange powers like controlling shaxx (slightly) it seems like a chekovs gun was set up but never fired, is it just imbaru or do we think she has some ulterior motive

Byf, ever considered voice acting? You got the voice for it.
@@riverwisp
Y'know, the full scope of the quantity of Ghosts sent out into our solar system hasn't really ever been made clear, if I'm remembering right.
Where did you get any of that..
@@trashjash nah
@@trashjash Another possibility is that it could be during season of the lost, or even before. We see immaru in the cutscene where savvy does the die with his trademark chitin shell, so we could be looking at a window of time that's greater than a couple weeks.
Holy Jesus Byf! You look tired AF!!
Take a break my guy, get some rest!!
I’ll be here when you get back
10:10 I love how this proves that Immaru is just irrationally against humanity.
Don’t play much anymore due to work but these videos are good for keeping up with what going on in the game
Babe wake up Byf dropped another lore video
I wouldnt be surprised if next season is the actual war against xivu, and this season is the pre-war prep. And I'm here for it.
This is an ancient plan she had started before our species even existed she said.
Wow I have been playing destiny for years and never seen his face. Thanx for being the best lore guy.
From a new light player lol
2:57 my dude, the night sky is brighter than you lower eyelids, take a few days (maybe a week) break and rest

Woah, Byf looks nothing like his photos.
Speaking of pain, are not Ogres created by subjecting a Thrall to extreme Grimdark levels of pain with a ritual? Or was that retconned?
Where'd you get that
I only remember that they're some sort of another subjugated race
As far as I can recall, that's still canon that Ogres are magically-bloated Thrall
@@kappegathat sounds like the Psions? The Cabal have subjugated races. The Hive are one race, formerly known as the Krill
@@meganwalker9148 yes you're right
It's crazy to think to truly kill savathun you have to kill her in her throne world.
Other than the Witness, which might have us kill _ALL_ of the Predecessors of The Witness after the post-Raid activity.
@@l1ghtzephyr_ I kinda doubt it. It seems far-fetched and I don’t think Bungie would put THAT much effort into something after the raid. Don’t see it being based on much of anything here.
But again, we’ll just have to wait and see
@twelved4983
Hey, ya never know.
Mainly voz fynch confirmed thag guardians can still talk to their ghosts while dead ( we see and hear him talking to his guardian and refusing to ressurect him)
Meaning theres a good chance savathun is telling imaru what to say or at the very least making sure he gives us speciric info to lead us down a specific path.
The only difference is that one set of those weapons have become a double-edged blade (because they still endanger the coalition and thus the traveler's defense, but also work against the Witness)
Light or dark, the hive hare monsters, not because of what they wield or who they serve, but because their choices and actions have instilled into them a lack of empathy or compassion, doing whatever they want because they want to and are strong enough to do so.
I personally think that the hive, dark of lucent, are too far gone to ever be 'redeemed'. The only exceptions I can think of are hive lightbearers that are separated from the brood before they get pulled in or hive who reject the worm pact and 'somehow' become krill again.
8:51
Lol, mini Wicth Queen Ghostshell.
Finally, a sponsor I can actually use
Regarding the Pharmakos entry, I think it makes sense that these ghosts are being recruited and not sacrificed. Remember, ghost *shells* are not ghosts, and the discarded ghost shells behind her might not represent dead ghosts so much as ghosts whose shells she's replaced with hive chitin (it has to happen somehow, right?) as part of a sort of induction ritual.
That makes sense, except that the lore entry is all about sacrifice.
Don't forget she did all of these acts of Ritual sacrifice within the "Witch Queen" DLC.
This lady ain't dead. She can't be. She's chilling in the wings letting everyone THINK she is and I'm dying on that hill until we're shown otherwise
"the line between light and dark is so very thin"
"Look Omar, it's you!"
I think things like this would be more obvious and better when actually seeing it.
By the end of this season, I do believe someone will make a mishap, but I'm not sure who.
There is another definition for heirloom, denoting a traditional variety of plant or breed of animal which is not associated with large-scale commercial agriculture. Could it be something like a screeb, not like it would be but just a thought.
13:53 For the Greater Good
I think that Savathun experimented with the Light because she didn't see the Guardians doing so.
What is the in universe explanation for the weakening of Stasis?
I'm wondering if these experiments are related to her heirloom. She could be using the ghosts to siphon their light to power the heirloom because of the possibility of it being paracusle
I think she had longer because didn’t season of the lost get extended by a couple months
So if I was to guesse Savathun was kill ghost to find the way into the traveler. If she knew this was the witnesses end game move and thought it impossible to block or stop, than she would need a way to follow. Now I'm of the opinion that Savathun has laid this plan out from before the collapse.

S20: Defience
Shadow Legion are taking prisoners after the failed attack on the witness, we break them out with the help of Mara Sov who knights us as Queenguard.
Amanda holiday is killed during a mission, in retaliation we blow up a cabal flagship
S21:
Titan has returned and a distress call by Slone is picked up, after fighting through taken we arrive in area under the methane sea and meet Asha, a worm god that never fell to darkness
Throughout the season we collect egregore coral so that Slone can "commune" with Asha, letting her talk to us, she tells us about the origins of the Witness
At the end of the season Asha is attacked by Xivu Arath but we managed to break her free from a ritual Xivu was using to corrupt her.
Asha tells us that to enter the portal in the Traveller that we need Savathun to be resurrected as she holds the secrets
There's a menu in director with concise info on the seasons and also it has the deep's witness cut scene without playing the season
(Sorry for length. I'm just thorough with my thoughts is all and think too much. Much love. What are your thoughts?)
The game continuing past the light/darkness with The Final Shape, the only real powerful baddies I can think of being brought forward are the powerful ascendant beings that used to live in the ascendant plane.
I have 2 theories:
Here me out: Savathun = Jim Jones
Those gamer glasses wouldn't help me lawl, for what ever reason blue light doesn't affect my sleepiness only anxiety, wiki walking, good books, caffeine, raspberry stuff and excitement. But that's ADHD and autism with added depression crap for you :P
Have we ever stopped to think that savathun told immaru about her plans before he resurrected her?
Thank you
I had been honestly hoping throughout the build up to WQ that the Hive Ghosts would be revealed as being created by Savathun's magics from the collection of dead Ghost parts she'd gathered while disguised as Osiris in Season of the Hunt.
I found that whole mystery really confusing, because I was convinced that they'd straight up told us during marketing that Savathun had been given the light willingly. The whole campaign I was thinking "this mystery would have been really cool if they hadn't told us the answer six months before it came out".
You look giga tired.. Are you ok, Byf..?

This story sucked byf the idea of eris as a hive god was cool but this ending sucked we literally played with crystals for 3 weeks and it didn’t help eris kill xivu, we used our 10 weeks of tithes to do that. Each week was just filled with the same dialogue to watch out for eris, that she might be evil, and the finale which was supposed to get us through the portal wasn’t even explained. Cool that savathun is alive and we have her ghost but come on thats it. This is what the season led to. In xivu so called “ army” there wasnt even a single yellow bar just the same boss with some easy ad clear
