Grew up going to this mall with my mom and dad. Seen santa there every christmas and my mom always got the pictures. So many memories at the arcade and when the movie theater was in it next to the entrance to the hotel. I really miss it a lot.

The Piqua East Mall was the greatest thing that happened to us kids from Minster Ohio. It was approximately thirty or so miles away. We would go there often. Then after I graduated from high school, I got a job at McDonalds right across the street (st Rt. 36) and would go to the East Mall to hang out. I left the area for a short a brief time and then, "OMG' what is this new place?" And then it happened, we had a new place to go, who would have thunk. A few years after that I worked for a small company that had a kiosk in the mall. I had so much fun there but sadly watched Piqua East fade to its demise. Oh well now it is happening across the entire country, what a shame. Oh well, I still have awesome memories. Thank you, Jeremy, for the memories.

on the left side of the hotel entrance, in the food court, across from old theatre, was a burger king, i worked there while in high school, we would trade food with Charlies or the Pizza place r sometimes subwayh, that place was so hopping in those days, the Arcade in the food court was the place to be!!

This is the mall I went to as a kid..was a hang out spot as a teen. Crazy that it looks exactly the same.

Really liked the aesthetics of this mall & the sense that you're in a Charles Schultz cartoon.

I remember when this mall was booming. Miss the good old days. Also, the mall got new owners back in March or late February and is now Piqua Center

Yes I explained that it was sold in the video, and I know it's called Piqua Center.

I hope the new owners do something good right now I’ll only go there for Dunham’s since Claire’s shut down and bath and bodywork’s moved out by Walmart

Way back in the day I picked up the blueprints for my brother in law to bid the original construction. Years later I did work in several of the spaces with my own company. The emptiness of the place now is disquieting. My best regards to the future of the mall.

I grew up in Piqua as well. This used to bustle with activity, but like so many malls across the country, online shopping has killed them.

The stores did it to themselves. They tell everyone to everything online (Apply for a job online, search for products online, and coupons can ONLY be used online). Guess where prospects went?

So incredibly sad. People who will never get to experience what these malls were in their prime are truly missing out.

I know the worlds changing and things like this are being phased out for good reasons. Part of me can't help but feel sad to see this mall go. Spent many weekends in the arcades, movies, and just walking around as a kid

There is a Mexican restaurant going in here. Also a popular play center for kids Hero something. Praying this does get new life and things start to pick up !

I am Mexican, I love Ohio, my daughter was born here and I still visited that mall when JC Penny was there, it was beautiful. I could go with my nieces to the playground and there were very few people, it was very nice. I love Troy Piqua and Sydney it makes me sad to know that the mall is dying I have beautiful memories there

Kohan has sold several dead malls off, before. He sold off 3 malls to Durga: Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor, MI, Village Square in Effingham, IL, and Washington Square in Indianapolis.

It's come to my attention that I pronounced the name Piqua wrong. I am well aware, and I don't need the mean and annoying comments telling me and making fun of me about it. I'm not from the area, and I pronounced it how I saw other videos pronouncing it, so cut me some slack.
