Thank you for these. I live here, in one of the suburbs. I moved away from here for about 9 years, came back, and discovered that downtown was full of new, glitzy buildings. I'm just glad that they rehabbed and revived some of the old ones that had stood vacant for so long. This is the first place I've ever come back to after having moved away.

I went to college at Case Western Reserve from 1966-1970 when graduated. Last in Cleveland I think in 1972. Great to see these pictures and get a little of the city's history. Used to go to Historical Society but not studying the city per se.
I’m going to cwru as a research fellow next month for a year…hope I really like it in Cleveland
The city has undergone and impressive revitalization over the past 10 years. Its hardly recognizable if you haven’t been there in awhile.
My sister went to Case at about the same time period.

Overall, it looks like things have nicley improved in Cleveland judging from these photos. I do miss the electric streetcars as seen in front of the Union Terminal building at 2:37. Thanks for sharing!

I grew up in Richmond Hts from '84-'90, i love the city- so many memories, left in '90 for college- The Galleria mall just opened back then and i hung out alot in and around Coventry( Hunan Coventry is still up and running i think).

Galleria didn’t last too long. Even the Winking Lizard moved out now.
I was born at University Hospital and grew up in University Circle.i left for college in 1972 and never lived there again. I will be going home this year for the first time since the Pandemic. My mother, father, and brother, are buried in Lakeview Cemetery.

Downtown is definitely going in the right direction. Many rehabilitation projects are under way, thankfully, and will soon reach the critical mass needed for a Target store. If I were younger, I'd definitely move there.
