  • This cabbage soup is a simple one, and it's extremely effective for weight loss. I discuss the classic cabbage soup diet for weight loss and also the variation I am cooking here. This batch of cabbage soup I made in this video has the following ingredients: one head cabbage, 1/2 gallon broth, one onion, one bell pepper, 3 medium tomatoes, 1 teaspoon cooking oil, 1 pound ham, 1/2 cup grated cheddar, salt+pepper to taste. For the classic version, simply cut the ham, cheese, and tomato out of the recipe. Check out my other cabbage soup video: • Lose Weight with Cabba...

    The book I mention is available in digital only until sometime later in 2022. You can grab it here: thebearshop.life/products/coo...

      @@bjconyers2499 I started the cabbage patch soup and that is all I ate. I ate at 1:30 and at 7:00 pm. I have always weighed 98.5 now with the cabbage patch soup I weigh 119 pounds what did I do wrong and I only drink water like five bottles of 16 ounce water. I walked 2 miles a day and I exercise a little bit, this is driving me crazy. I’ve been 20 pounds overweight for this last year. Thanks for reaching out.

    I started the ELAB way of eating in May 2020. I am 55 years old. So far I have lost well over 100#. I don't know exactly how much since I only weigh myself when I go to the doctor. I can tell you when I started in 2020 I was wearing a size 24. Today I wear a size 10/12 and am still losing. Don't wait to get started. It will change your life in ways you've never thought possible. Thank you Amanda Rose! I thank God for the day your video showed up on my Facebook feed. I am so grateful to have regained my life.🤎🐻

    @Eat Like A Bear or anyone can jump in. Is it my understanding that this reciepe makes TWO batches? Half one day Half the next? I just want to be sure as I watched this video and a different video by Amanda and it made me confused. I have been doing ELAB for a few months now with just the salads and working on my intermittent fasting time. I think I'm getting the hang of it now. Just ordered the hard copy of your book and looking forward to see what it has in store for me. Thank you for ALL you are sharing . YOU are appreciated!! 🥰

    So for this diet, rather than following the fruits and veggies and occasional meat like the old model, you just eat the soup for a week? Do you add the cheese into the main soup pot, or could you add it in before you heat it up throughout the week? Would it be bad if I add in carrots like the original diet recipe (because I really, really love carrots, lol). I didn't think to throw some ham into the soup, so I'll definitely do that next time.
    I really wanna try this because I've been wanting to lose weight and train my body to eat healthy again, so hope you don't mind these questions! Eating the same thing for a week doesn't bother me at all, if that's the case - I honestly never understand people who complain about it and all the other healthier stuff diets make you eat, so long as they aren't making you starve yourself. That's why the cabbage soup diet always appealed to me. But if I can snack on other fruits and veggies while eating this, that would be aces, but if the intermittent fasting is more important, I'll do that.

      @lightbulb8869 Рік тому +1

      You should talk to your doctor about intermittent fasting. I know that it can greatly help and even cure people with type 2 diabetes (not sure what your case is). It could be that you don’t have enough healthy fats in your diet because, if you don’t give your body any fats to burn, it will desperately cling to the fat stores you already have. Any carbs you eat is what your body converts into fat stores to be used later, but the fat you eat can be immediately used by your body. Look into Keto diets (which cabbage soup is a part of). Even if you can’t exert yourself, that’s ok. In fact, your body releases more cortisol if you do intense exercise which also can make you hold onto fat. It’s actually better to do light exercise. If you can, go for a walk. Increase the length of your walk or the amount of walks you take. If you can’t go for walks, look into Pilates. Pilates was originally made for people recovering in hospitals who were bedridden. Any movement is good. Walk across your room every half hour or dance along to your favourite song. Just do what you can, but do it every day and increase the intensity once a week. Just don’t overdo it one day then you can’t get out of bed for a week (I’ve also had major abdominal surgery and have overdone it multiple times and left myself worse off).
      Hope some of these tips help!

    You should slowly work your way to a smaller window of eating when it comes to intermittent fasting because, especially if you have autoimmune disease or other health issues, it can be a shock to your body and possibly dangerous. I do 8 hours of eating and I’m not sure if it’s safe to go much smaller with my autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s disease) because of the thyroid’s role in metabolism. But I’m a healthy weight to begin with and just want to maintain it. My husband is twice my weight though and only a few inches taller than me... and he has a genetic heart condition and is pre-diabetic... so I really want him to lose weight he’s been obese for the past 20+ years and my weight has only gone just above normal bmi (like 5 lbs overweight) a few times (I’m not including pregnancy or the first few months postpartum) and we eat most of the same food. He even gets more exercise than I do, but I can’t get him to try intermittent fasting. He always eats cereal for breakfast early in the morning, like at 7am, but the rest of the meals he eats like me (plus he snacks). I’m gluten free so he eats the rest of his meals gluten free, but he snacks on cookies and cracker (which I can’t eat). He’s a grownup, so I can’t force him to give up his carb loaded snacks and do intermittent fasting with me, but he’s in his mid 40’s, getting close to the age that his dad passed away and older than his grandpa was, and I want him with me for at least another 40 years. He’s the manager at his job and everyone likes him and brings him snacks all the time and he is too nice to say no. I just don’t know what to do at this point. He’s been obese his entire adult life so it’s not like I care that he’s fat as far as looks are concerned, but I know that it reflects his health. His back and knees are always sore too. He also wants to lose weight, but he wants to keep his eating habits the same but just do intense exercise once a week... which gives him more knee pain. It feels like we’re going nowhere with this unless I can convince him to change his diet.

    I love cabbage, but the bottom line is...my will power will not let me do without beef. I love red meat. I know I'm not supposed to eat it because I have a fatty liver, but I can't cut it completely out of my diet. I'm envious of people that can lose weight.

      Google Dr. Ken Berry he talks about the perfect human diet is beef. Just eating beef will cure your fatty liver. It's the processed food and carbs you need to stay clear of. Hope watching his videos helps.

    Ok I just found your video for the cabbage soup, which I saw on another channel and made. I love it. I used their version of making and that may be a mistake. But it is delicious. I live your message.
    I am a 57 yo grandma, that has had 2 failed back surgeries. So I have gained a whole bunch of weight because it hurts to get up and get going. I know I would hurt less if I lost weight. But nothing has worked. Your method sound marvelous. And doable. Can you, or someone recommend where I go to get started. I need good clear instructions on what to do when. I am good with fidgeting with a recipe to my tastes. But need to know where to start. Can anyone help? PLEASE!!!!

    Used this soup decades ago. It mostly works because all that roughage makes the eater spend tons of time in the bathroom. It should be called the diarrhea diet.

    I did the cabbage soup diet many years ago, and yes it worked with weight loss, but I literally started to gag on the soup just from the smell, because eating it, really is not fulfilling and it was not a good way for me to enjoy any food... We need a well balanced diet, not enough protein, not enough different flavors, not enough variety.... How about we just try eating a lot less of what we love..Less calories, a little more exercise and enjoy life..it goes by fast...
