  • The cabbage soup diet is a fad diet that many people have been using for years. This is not the so called cabbage soup diet recipe. However, it is a fantastic cabbage soup. This cabbage soup does not have to just be for diets. If you like vegetable soup then you need to give this recipe a try. If you would like some meat in your soup then try my shredded chicken recipe. The link for it will be below. I will also include the link for my chicken stock video. I use allot of low carb recipes while on the Roger Raglin Diet. Roger's diet is not necesarily a keto diet, but your body does go into ketosis. So it is a ketogenic diet. Thanks for watching my cabbage soup video and please remember to like and share this great recipe.

@@TexasStyleCuisine but I never cook with salt and the green jalapeno peppers cooked in soup gives the soup that green bell taste. In a pinch if you want the green pepper taste and do not have bells, you can use jalapeno peppers. I,m sorry we disagree.

@@TexasStyleCuisine yes you can loose fat eating just potatoes, beans, vegetables. I am looking great now, I was 242 lbs at 5'8" now I am 165 lbs. I am over 60 and I cured diabetes I had for 15 yrs. Doctors said I could not. Well they are wrong, in fact, I tested my system, the other day I ate 5 hershy chocolate almond bars ,one right after the other & after that I ate a hog & dazz ice cream bar with chocolate & nuts then I at a pint of vanilla bean ,real ice cream and 4 hours later I was still fine. Blood was good, blood pressure was good, blood sugars up up, but came back down just like someone without diabetes. I have been with out diabetes for 3 yrs.. WAS confirmed 1st time in 2015 & 2017 that I had diabetes. Back in 93 I had signs, and I cut down on sugar in hot tea, cut out soda,s all together, cut red meat in 2015. So from 1993 to 2017 I had diabetes, so doctor in 2017 said things and literally laughed at me, so I thought I don't think so buster. He said it just gets worse & literally doubted that i could not do good and loose fat. So to this day after seeing him in 2018, my diabetes is cured. He said your not a diabetic No more. He never asked once, about what I was doing. When he first told me & laughed at me, I went directly to store and bought a big bag of different fruits & different vegetables & bought Walmart family size Rotisserie Chicken and started consuming. My diabetes is gone. That's all I know, the gout is gone, heart fluttering is gone, high blood pressure gone, my cholesterol dropped from 221 to 126. Cholesterol now is 85. So my friends still have and they want to maintain diabetes and all the regular side effects that goes with diabetes..They want meds and doctor appts. I don't & I haven't seen a doctor or a blood test in at least 3 yrs now.. 2020, 2021 & now 2022 I am on All whole foods, all natural raw & cooked veggies and ABSOLUTELY NO PKG,D, CANNED, OR BOXES of any refined or processed foods, I am not taking any drugs or meds, legal or Not, I eat No added Oils, No added Salts ,No added Sugars,No Artificial anything. No chips, dips, No hot dogs, No Meats. I eat ONE MEAL A DAY, I do distilled water only fasting 48 hrs from Friday 4pm to Sunday 4pm every week without fail , fasting has to be done to be healthy, fasting last 18 months like clock work. Have a good afternoon & keep recipes a come,n..

yes low carb AND high fiber. the high fiber boosts PYY and GLP-1 hormones.
PYY lowers long term hunger, GLP-1 lowers blood sugar production to normal levels.

All those beautiful fresh vegetables, then he goes and ruins it with chicken stock! Apart from the bad karma involved, the dead flesh will extract some of the nutritional value of the fresh vegetables and add a level of decay to the soup. There are a great variety of vegetable bouillons available all of which add depth to the soup

I have been doing keto for 14 months and I’m down 110 lbs. I make a soup very similar to this all the time. Sometimes I will add grass fed ground beef or perhaps take a store bought rotisserie chicken shred it and throw in there. Shrimp is another thing I have put in from time to time with great results. I am like you I have made so much of it there is no recipe you just do it. Many times when I’m in a hurry I will just throw two bags of Walmart tricolor coleslaw mix in there and it makes a fabulous soup as well. But the big strips of cabbage are definitely the best. I have another one that is super simple as well. Cook your cabbage preferably in stock or you may fry it and then finish with apple cider vinegar and Zatarans Cajun mustard.
Pat yourself on the back you’re looking better every week👍

100 pounds in 8 months is amazing. Hats off to you and thanks for sharing this recipe. I have been working on my lentil soup game lately and now I make a huge pot every weekend in preparation for the work week to come. I may have to expand into cabbage soup since I could stand to lose some weight.

The main reason we have corn tortillas with our soup is you take a bite of a tortilla then the soup, that way you don't burn your mouth with the (menudo) soup. 🥣🌶 YUMMY looking soup.

I'm just starting a pot of this , and I'm thinking of adding some seafood. I have these cans of clams and the 'juice'. But now I'm getting really hungry and thinking what about some shrimp? Great recipe- just by itself, or dress it up!. Thank you!

    • @whichDude

The diet works as a low calorie meal that causes your body to burn more calories digesting the food than what the soup provides. Adding any meat provides alot of calories to cancel out the calorie burn.
Meat with it would work well as a healthy meal to not gain weight, but you shouldn't add meat if you are trying to lose weight with it.
