The BeeGees were so talented that the media could not handle them.
Frankly, their group should be #1 in all-time sales of records as well as more #1 hits.
They should have received an Oscar for the Saturday Night Fever album. People still listen to their music today.

Oh, how I love this man! Always in a class above the rest! Talented young men and full of love. They have endured because the fans adore all of them! And, rightfully so, the music that was created is always in our hearts and minds!
Barry was on the money with his response and it was true. The Bee Gees were a super band with genuine music it was genius. I love their music even today 2023 it’s music it’s about life romance heart break and why not let us enjoy. I’m so lucky to have been around to appreciate their genius. I listen throughout COVID and still listen in 2023. They're the best group ever. They never had a bad song and wrote amazing music for others when US radio refused to play them. Remember the 5 top 10 on the billboard? That's when they refused play them.

Jealousy was the only thing I could think of as to why the Bee Gees were treated the way they were treated. That Saturday Night album was too well put together and people just wasn't expecting something that good so they refused to give it and the Bee Gees all the credit they were due. The Bee Gees were extremely successful because they were super talented and not because of hype. They were NEVER hyped up by the media. Without a doubt, they were the best band of all time !

They existed long before SNF, it just so happened that it shot them into the stratosphere of popularity. It was the era of Disco, and who wasn't capitalizing it at that time? They proved way beyond that they could still make massive pop hits after the 70's. They will always be one of my top groups ever!

I am Canadian and I noticed that the Bee Gees seemed to get more radio play here than the US. They also did consistently well on Canadian charts compared to the States. I was a kid when they hit big and I’m glad I heard them a lot. Still listening today. Robin and Maurice are missed. God bless you Barry❤
