The Bridge of the Gods. Legend. No need to apologize for not filming in a rainstorm, your output is phenomenal. An entirely different approach from other vlogs, perhaps more raw, unfiltered and emotional. Pls do keep some of your mystery for yourself! (not even sure that this makes sense...).
It totally makes sense! And thank you. I try to be as consistent as possible, but there are some days or moments where I wasn't either "in the mood" or the circumstance was too difficult. I might have not had a working phone either if I videoed in that storm lol
K so I know I'm the dork who's commenting on all your PCT videos after the fact but I seriously cried with happiness for you watching you cross the Bridge of the Gods, and thinking about how that's going to be me in 2020. What an amazing accomplishment. Go Starburst!
Nice video, i will try to do Washington part of PCT this coming summer 2019. Most I have hiked was 11 day Wonderland trail, so it will be challange for sure but you helping me to do it by watching your videos, thank you for that
Wow, you're The Flash with that quick jump from the bridge to Trout Lake😂😂 Sorry you got caught in that cold rain we had, must've been depressing. But I'm definitely looking forward to your Washington adventure!
You don't even understand the amount of rain we got. I was in no mood to even attempt to film that, and my phone stayed in the middle of my pack in a bag. During it, I don't care, but once I start editing these videos I wish I could have made a smoother transition, but oh well lol
Home state Baby!!! You are awesome. Love watching your trail videos. I hope we meet on the trail sometime. I want to see how you get so dirty Haha. I'll be back up to Seattle in January. Maybe we can meet then? Thanks for all your work to film and edit!!!
@@JenniferMabus A little background, I had found the Burney Falls episode some time ago (I live near there) . And then , this one was possibly presented to me, caught my eye. Burney falls was beautiful in your video. Thanks.
Starburst, Its always sounds so quiet when you're hiking on the trail, It got me thinking about how noisy everything must sound now that you have finished hiking PCT.
And you crossed the bridge so many friends, too! Also, I'm not a fashion guy, but I enjoyed that you mixed things up with a flannel shirt! I guess we will see the new gloves soon enough! (I hate having cold hands and fingers!)
A seperate bridge would cost millions. I doubt that Washington wants to encourage the extra foot traffic and Oregon is already taxed like crazy with mega wasteful expenditures. That said, it would make sense to close one lane to traffic during non-rush hours. A super-sized version of the standard big suburb intersection pedestrian crossing could work.
There is a real shortage of Columbia River crossings which are reasonably predicted to only get worse. PCT hikers would do well to plan their crossing during a low traffic time. It was around midnight when I crossed and it worked well for me.
Finally home and the fall weather will be with you . No resupply at White Pass sounds like you want to get to Snoqualmie quickly , does this mean their might be a 0 in Seattle? I can't wait to see how white it is at Rainy Pass go north.
I bet someone said "McDonalds" too. (the cows) 😂Just kidding. With all the supplies you could open a store and earned money or not. Just kidding, you're doing good!
You are fortunate to have a great group of friends to support you on your journey. Glad to see you are in good spirits again.
You are doing great. Keep up with your great spirits and you will make it.
I am proud to be number 100 for your likes, because I love all of this for you. The beauty is astounding.
Wow! what a way to get into Washington. Yes i did Moo, got me. the quest continues.
That laugh and that attitude, what a wonderful person.
Same great smile and spirit that I saw on your first day video with your Dad at Campo! You are amazing!

Love the sound of the rain hitting the plants. Put that on a repeat loop, and it would be a great sound to fall asleep to. 😊

Hi from NJ
That crazy hair is called fashion, I looked it up.
HAHAHA YESSSS!!
That's almost as scary as cycling across the Astoria bridge. I'd love to see a vlog of you doing the 101 bike ride. From Olympia to Tijuana.

This is true. Everything is quite noisy and overwhelming!
That's cool that your friends crossed the bridge with you!
It made it more special for sure!
And you crossed the bridge so many friends, too! Also, I'm not a fashion guy, but I enjoyed that you mixed things up with a flannel shirt! I guess we will see the new gloves soon enough! (I hate having cold hands and fingers!)
DID YOU GET YOUR GLOVES ?
That is the most scary part of your entire trip! A semi on a bridge. Omg
Really why can't there be a pedestrian lane and a traffic light at both ends for one way travel? or a separate bridge for walkers, runners, bikers?

Unfortunately, no zero in Seattle. I had to move! Haha
I feel bad for your friends, they had to walk back across that bridge. lol
My friend Britney hated that bridge. She was so scared! Lol

With that shirt, you have to sing from Monty Python: "Oh, I'm an okay lumberjack". You're too young, dig it up and see it. You'll like it.
