I have watched other hikers eat the bagged tuna and seems the next morning they are sick. I don't trust the cleanliness of Pacific fish since the Fukushima nuclear meltdown. I know it's speculation but this is often the reaction I've seen on the trail.

Thanks for the map expo (for those of us who think in maps). It really showed how far y'all have hiked through such rugged and beautiful country. Again, your attitude is great, even while you are struggling with some stomach issues (hope they went away). I am seriously thinking about adding TRT to my list.
Freel's Peak along the southern Tahoe stretch of the Tahoe Rim Trail used to a "Relay Peak" with a dirt road leading to its summit. Was there in early Sep 1962. Am enjoying your trek around Tahoe, and going back in time two years your PCT trek.
Epic 360 view atop Relay Peak and a beautiful sunset to boot Jen. Well worth the climb and I bet the sunrise was just as amazing. Sadly for us the end is near 😞

Put me down as an East side fan. Seeing the joy and anticipation and determination on your face to get to the top of the mountain was as exactly what I looked like stepping on the Appalachian trail for the first time this weekend. Hopefully I will gain an ounce of what you posses in full someday - that being a whimsical master.
Coyote scat typically has hair mixed in with it....as opposed to grizzly scat...which typically could have any number of objects mixed in with it....EG: bells...whistles....bone fragments....pieces of bear spray canisters....license plate...and hair....(smile) !!
Love the opening with just the sound. 👍. There is something about hearing a strong rain hitting your tent that is both scary and comforting....comforting in that that thin piece of tent material is keeping you warm and dry. Scary in wondering how long that will last. 😱. 😆

I have never gotten sick from them, but it is still bagged processed fish lol so it's not the best for sure.
