The snow has been great. I don't like driving in it but I love walking in it and looking at it from the window! It's just as cold as ever but we don't get much anymore, do we? Great reading week. I've been slumpy but I'm back with it from today, thankfully. Fab work on RWYO.

I seem to remember the seasons being a lot more defined when I was a kid and that included more snow. I don’t like driving in it either but now I don’t have three hour commutes and can just look at it from the book shack, I love it 😍. I’m pleased I’ve done the first 25 books for RWYO. Glad you’re over your slump. Happy reading 😊

Go as long as you need. Your videos are so enjoyable and interesting.
I too am an expert at buying books. 😊
    Enjoying your channel. 💐

That is so kind, thank you. Book buying and book reading are definitely two different hobbies 😂. I am addicted to charity shops where I can buy second hand books. But I have very limited space here so I need to curb my book buying quite a lot 😂. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting, I really appreciate it 😊

@@BookChatWithPat8668 Thanks Pat. Couldn’t believe it when that was your book for the ‘loved to teach’ series this week. I absolutely loved it. Have had it for ages and have no idea why it’s taken me so long to read it.

How wonderful that you had some snowy weather to read by! I saw one forecaster say there's a possibility we may have a bit of snow for Thanksgiving. I hope it comes soon! I'm a displaced Northerner and I sure miss the cold and snow!

We’re not very good at dealing with snow over here but it is beautiful when you can just sit and look at it. My fingers are crossed for you to get snow for Thanksgiving. Happy holiday to you 😊

It snowed here too but it was raining at the same time so it didn't settle. I've not read any of these but Snow Falling on Cedars sounds intriguing.

I remember reading Ward No. 6 a long time ago, right after having read some of Foucault's critiques of psychiatry. You could have knocked me over with a feather when many of Foucault's criticisms of the entire field are summed up in this story, published 75 years earlier. I always love to look for serendipities in books that I happen to read right after one another, even if it seems like any relationship would have to be forced. But this one was just ... uncanny. Great wrap-up this week, Debs!

Thanks John. That’s really interesting. I’d like to read some Foucault. I’ve found a fab book for Historathon - Dreamers by Volker Weidermann. Have you come across it? It’s about a period late 1918 to spring 1919 when poets, writers and the literati took control of Germany at the end of the First World War. Looking forward to that this week 😊

@@RaynorReadsStuff No, I haven't. Knew about the November Revolution, but the book is completely new to me! Thanks for the heads up!

❄☃ We've got an overnight guest as Storm Bert has stopped the trains from here southward, a landslide on the track.

Oh no. We just got the tail end of it here. Lots of rain and strong winds but the temperature rose by about 14 degrees. Stay safe 😊

I need to reread Snow Falling on Cedars. I read it when it first came out and remember loving it, but I don't remember any details.

Oh I absolutely loved this Adrienne. It would be so worth a reread. Beautifully written and I love the intertwining storylines 😊
