The video is a spoof of the 70's cop/private eye shows like Starsky and Hutch but the song came out in 1994. I think the Beastie Boys played most of the instruments themselves. Nearly every Beastie Boys song just bangers from beginning to end.
Starsky & Hutch, Magnum PI, Hunter, Moonlighting, TJ Hooker, Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues... Man, there was so much detective show stuff back then. Good times.
I'm from the same generation as the Beastie Boys. This vid is a total homage to 70s and 80s TV cop shows. There's no one like The Beastie Boys. Fun, creative, funny, clever, and good. They played their own instruments on most of their albums. I love seeing kids today get introduced to, and love, the music of my youth! I'm 57, and when I listen to The Beastie Boys, my neighbors do too!
You're going to have such a blast discovering these guys. They have some of richest visual and musical styles in modern western music. More than anything they loved to have fun, dress up, take on different personas and really entertain their fans. You're going to go on a journey of rap and rock, with little to no public feuds with other rappers, no guns, drugs or brutality, just life observations made word. And wigs. 🎉
I think that is one of the most underrated thing about Beastie Boys - when the legal hammer came down on sampling in the 90s, they were like "alright, we'll just start playing our own instruments and still make hits"
You asked for more recommendations. I suggest the official videos for these songs. So Whatcha Want. Sure shot. Three emcees and one DJ. Route down. Shake your rump. Pass the mic.
I remember this dropping on MTV. Greatest music video I'd seen in my teenage life. M.T.V wasn't about life or death in the '80s and '90s it was far more important than that.
Beasties started as a New York punk band in about 1980. They caught wind of hip hop in its infancy when it made its way “uptown” . They fell in love with it and gave it a shot themselves. In 83 they made a song called Cookie-puss. It was a weird but sick instrumental track that made waves in New York clubs and was played by legit hip hop DJ’s of the time(including Bambaatta). As they developed into hip hop heads they hooked up with Russel Simmons and Rick Rubin and were a huge part in the rise of Def Jam records…. Their first record License to Ill (‘86) was dope quintessential 80’s Hip hop. Lot of groundbreaking things on that album (can’t get into it now). It was one of the highest selling rap records of all time until just recently. That said, they left Def jam, moved to California, did tons of psychedelic drugs, dug through tons of record crates, and eventually made what is considered a sampling masterpiece. Their 2nd album Pauls Boutique (‘89) still holds the record for most samples on an album. Beyond that, their vocals interplay and mesh on this album like no other rap group before or since. Many say it’s their best record…. …it was a commercial flop….. So they said fuck it. They built their own studio to hang out and record in, they started playing their instruments again and just started vibing, getting live in their studio just jamming and letting the tape roll…Out of these hang out/jam/recording sessions came their 3rd album Check Your Head (‘92). IMO the best Beastie Album of all time…It was absolutely ground breaking as it mixed punk rock and hip hop (and everything inbetween) like no other band had before or ever will……it’s a layered, eclectic, vintage and progressive at the same time, psychedelic, funky, jazzy, edgy, raw fucking record. A musical gumbo that is 100% true hip hop at its core. a mixtape when “mixtape” meant something different than today…. I recommend listening to that entire album from start to finish in one sitting…. The next album ILL Communication (which Sabotage is from) came out in ‘94 and was essentially an extension of the previous album and that production approach, and has some amazing stuff on it. Arguably their peak…. Every album after that had its own unique feel and were all progressive and incredible. Hello Nasty (‘98)is mind blowingly great. The beasties evolved like no other band in MUSIC…let alone hip hop. Truly one of the greatest American bands of all time, transcends classification but they for sure embody the true essence of Hip-Hop. Another aspect of their game are in fact their videos. Since 1980(HolySnappers) thru their last video (Too Many Rappers w/Nas) they made absolutely hilarious, endlessly cool, creative music videos…that’s a huge part of their thing…also they are AMAZING AMAZING live performers…(seen them live for almost every album). I highly recommend watching their live tv performances. I’ll let you go down the rabbit hole…so I’m gonna skip song recommendations…i suggest one whole album a week in chronological order. your mind will be blown. They have a very unique kind of autobiographical documentary that they did live it’s on Apple TV and is called Beastie Boys Story. Maybe watch that first or during your deep dive…. Thanks for this awesome reaction dude very cool to see….
Perfect. A lot of people don't understand Beastie Boys were hitting the scene as a bunch of punk/rap weirdos when Slick Rick was making nursery rhymes X-rated and Sonic Youth was redefining post-punk.
Very well said ! I couldn't agree more. I left a comment (& now am reading others comments too) I suggested checking out the hits on their debut album and then put on "Paul's boutique" and start at the beginning and follow with "check your head" it's not like the Beastie boys ever put out anything that wasn't mind-blowingly excellent. They're definitely a must hear type of band. And one that you benefit from taking the journey from start to finish. Me and my friends loved them as a punk act but boy oh boy, , , what they did w/rap, , , , after their chart topping debut rap album, , , friggin changed music as we knew it. In the 80s, I told my brother that the Beastie Boys started as a punk band and he laughed at me. Heard the punk Beastie Boys on KZSU Stanford college radio...playing some of the best music at the time in the Bay Area. kFJC a close second.
@@Lisa-pw2he that’s awesome! I’m a huge fan of punk rock. Never had the beasties Ratcage stuff, so didn’t hear their punk stuff untill the VHS Skills to Pay The Bills came out
Sabotage is still just as wild as it came out! Really glad you liked it 😊 And yeah, MTV used to be all about music videos in the 90s, they played only music videos back to back from 8am to 10pmish before switching to alternative music and edgy cartoons like Beavis & Butthead, Heavy Metal and Daria. Even outside of the US teens were glued to the TV watching it, before reality TV was invented and destroyed the channel in record time
We did! 😁 MTV played almost exclusively music videos from 1982 to 2000. So we rushed home from school to 'watch' our favorite songs. Remember, there was no internet for the general public until the mid 90s and it wasn't even super useful until maybe 2001 or 2002, plus no social media until what, like 2008? So MTV was like our VEVO and UA-cam. 💜
You just watched the greatest music video of all time. The 90s were awesome. Beastie Boys are my favorite band of all time, they are fun, all the time, you hear them grow as humans from their 1986 debut album Licensed to Ill, which was the 1st rap album to go #1 on Billboard and has sold over 10 millions copies, to their sample heavy 1989 masterpiece Paul's Boutique, back to their instrument playing roots on 1992's Check Your Head with the ultimate banger So Whatcha Want, to this 1994 epic Ill Communication which featured Sabotage, then in 1998 put out Hello Nasty which featured Intergalactic....they just kept evolving and getting better as musicians and humanitarians and doing what they want, starting a music festival called the Tibetan Freedom Concert, they had their own record label Grand Royal, they put out a magazine, their final concert was headlining Bonnaroo in 2009, in 2011 they put out their last album Hot Sauce Committee Pt 2, and unfortunately MCA passed away from cancer in 2012 which ended the Beastie Boys as a active group. Their music videos are incredible, the samples they use educate you on other genres, its a whole Beastie universe. Dive in man. Check out "Shake Your Rump", "Paul Revere", "High Plains Drifter", "Professor Booty"....
Beastie Boys. Started in the 80s. Revived in the 90s. This video is from the 90s. The video is a shout out to the seventies cop shows like Starsky and Hutch. Nobody can rhyme like they do. Check out their album Paul’s Boutique. Failed when it came out but is now an example of EVERYTHING Hip Hip should be. Ground breaking beats and rhythms.
The Guitarist on this song was....Adam (Ad-Rock). Before the Beastie Boys was a hip-hop group they were a Hardcore Punk Rock group. Adam was a guitarist in another band, and when the Beastie's guitarist quit he stepped in. This was back when they were 14-17 in High School. The three of them changed sounds and ran into Russel Simmons, who was working to try to get a record setup for his brother Joseph "Run" Simmons with his little known band called Run DMC. They got helped with a few beats by this guy named Jason Mizell (a.k.a. Jam Master J).
The Beastie Boys were a big fan of TV and cult films from the 60s and 70s. Intergalactic was fashioned after the Japanese monster films from that era. This video is inspired by various cop TV shows from the 70s like "Starsky and Hutch" and "Baretta." They did another video. "Body Movin" which was inspired by Mario Bava's "Danger: Diabolik" made in 1968.
The video is based on ‘70s crime shows. It’s fabulous. When the Beastie Boys played this at MSG in ‘95 (maybe it was ‘96), the place went off the hook!!!
If you're asking if this is an 80s group or a 90s group, the answer is yes. Sabotage and Intergalactic were both 90s hits. They had staying power, which is why they are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
One amazing thing about Beastie Boys is they always made their own music (after their first record). Sometimes sampling. Sometimes live recording (like Sabotage). Sometimes they'd record their own jams and then make beats out of them. Super inspiring group.
I saw them on them on the Ill Communication tour and this was just sick live, MCA on bass, AdRock on guitar, Mike D on drums. They brought the house down. And yeah, MTV used to play music
Beastie Boys came out in the 80’s but evolved and remained in the forefront of music right up until Ad-Rocks death in 2012. Apple has an amazing documentary about them and I highly recommend watching their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…. Where you might also learn LL Cool J used to be an awesome rapper before he was a NCIS actor….
The Beastie Boys reinvented themselves… TWICE. That’s THREE ITERATIONS of the same three-person group. They went worldwide in late ‘86, breaking out with “Fight For Your Right To Party”, and all the other songs from the Licensed To Ill album. They were out of Brooklyn on the Def Jam label. They kind of played out the ‘80s NY rap scene, and moved out west, and you’ll hear the next version of the group with songs like “Whatcha Want”. But they didn’t really feel like themselves until they wrote this song, and this third version was them finally feeling comfortable in their own skins.
Beastie Boys played their own instruments- they were originally a punk band before switching to rap. Their videos were very progressive and they tried to keep the budgets low and force as much creativity as possible. Be sure to give a look at Ch-Check It Out and What'Cha Want...
Dude, check out the intro to a couple of old 70’s tv programs…”Starsky and Hutch” and “Streets of San Francisco.” Pretty sure Beastie Boys got their inspiration from shows like that.
Im an 80s baby and I remember when this song came out in 1994 and I loved it so much. When the Beastie Boys released "Sabotage" as the first single off Ill Communication in early 1994, the song became a defining track of the '90s. Much of this is thanks to Spike Jonze's music video, which acted as a parody of '70s cop shows, and gave the song its iconic middle-finger attitude. In the rap genre that was dominated by African American acts, the Beasties stood out for their ethnicity - three white Jewish kids from Brooklyn, New York. Yauch was born to a Jewish mother and a Catholic father. He was raised Jewish. And although Im an 80s baby. I mist say the 1990s was the last of best decades. Now there was alot of great songs and movies that cane out in the early 2000s. But honestly the 90s was the BEST.
Been with the Beastie Boys since my mid teens. There are probably 4 threads of Beastie Boys. 1. Started out a hardcore band as young teens and then drop a thrash track in most albums. You’ve picked Sabotage which fits that or maybe Heart Attack Man (still cracks me up). 2. Minimal tracks tracks on Licensed to Ill like Hold it Now, Hit it. 3. Straight up sample heavy Hip Hop from Paul’s Boutique forward (both LA and NYC). Check out So Watcha Want or Get it Together. 4. Live instrumental funk/lounge band (could be my favourite) Check out Something’s Got to Give (the video is ace too). And for a Leftfield track check out Cookie Puss and the story behind it.
That awesome riff is actual bass. It's played by Adam Yauch aka MCA who sadly passed away from cancer. I play bass, and I got to say that riff is kick ass!!!
This is from the 1990s, they are doing a retro video that mocks the 1970s detective style tv shows. Also, it’s before CGI, so they had to blow up a car in one take or build a large budget to blow up multiple cars. We didn’t have the internet back then so the only entertainment was on tv or in theaters. So yes, music videos were a new thin in 1981, and for 20 years people ran Home to watch new music videos. Note: The Beastie Boys write and play their own music when re-cording and worked with DJs to replicate what they did. (Mix-Master Mike bring their main DJ) but sometimes on stage they have multiple DJs.
I love that you had the same exact reactions I had when I was a young buck seeing this when it came out in the 90s. It’s awesome and a true testament that great music, and particularly the B-Boys transcend time and space. Keep digging deep with these 3 MCs, you won’t be disappointed. They literally don’t have a weak track in their arsenal.
I remember the first album I ever bought when I was a kid was Beastie Boys, Licensed to Ill. I bought that in 1986 when I was 6 years old. It was my very first album I ever bought or owned. Loved them ever since. I am glad to see the younger generation liking the stuff that I grew up with.
So this song came out when I was in middle school (mid 90s). I saw it on MTV and my mind was blown. I didn’t know at the time, but these were the same guys that I heard in the late 80s when I was a little kid. Their song “fight for your right” was a hit on MTV, and my uncle was in high school and he was into it. I didn’t give it much thought, but I remember the music video and song. Then I was in high school when intergalactic came out.
Some of the shows you were trying to think of: " The Music video for "Sabotage", directed by Spike Jonze and played extensively on MTV, is a homage to, and parody of, 1970s & 80s crime drama shows such as Hawaii Five-O, The Streets of San Francisco, S.W.A.T., Baretta, and Starsky and Hutch.
BBoys are my gen. This was such a dope video because they made it look like a 1970's cop TV show. Also shows off the punk side of the group. Playing the instruments in this song 🔥🔥
That’s the boyz my dude. This was early 90’s btw. I’m 40 now and yes before streaming everyone tuned into mtv to catch things like this. I stumbled onto your channel and I dig it so far. House of pain was a one hit wonder. Everlasts album whitey ford sings the blues predates Eminem’s career but em did some shit on the tiny touch albums calling him out. Everlast switched his style before em so that’s cap. As far as more beastie boyz check out the song “so whatcha want” it’s a banger. I’m enjoying your reviews and yes hip hop has transcended cultures and races since day one. White dudes been doin it since the 80’s. There first album called License to ill came out in 1986.
I am 40 also :) i grew up with beasties, wu tang, eminem, snoop, dre and also rage against the machine or zak de la rocha had some pretty nice raps. Happy i grew up in this time ♡
Just so you know, Beasties started off as an instrumental group of musicians, playing bass, guitar, etc.. so thats why you hear some of the first Rock and Hip Hop fusion going on. YO I GOTTA PUT YOU ONTO HOUSE OF PAIN. IRISH WHITE BOYS.
To me 70's 80's and 90's all had their own vibe. All good in their own right. After that is all blends together to me. Maybe every person thinks this as they get older.
MTV used to stand for music television. When they first came out all they played was music videos. They have since evolved into miscellaneous television. It is no longer about the music.
It’s great to see young people appreciating the Beastie Boys. I’m glad they were introduced to you, and more glad to hear you like their stuff! I listened to a lot of different stuff growing up, mostly rock, metal and hiphop (leaning more towards metal, but still keeping my ears open to other music), but the very first album I ever purchased - as opposed to shared and copied, which we all did at school - was the Beastie Boys “Licensed to Ill”. Loved it and still do. If you like Sabotage you’ll probably like two of the hits from that album which also use electric guitar riffs - “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right to Party” and “No Sleep till Brooklyn”. Both classics! The album also has more old school hiphop tracks like “Brass Monkey”, and “Paul Revere”. I still know all the lyrics off by heart 😆
Yes beastie boys were very comical as well as a great band. Most people from that time were funny cuz we didn't have the internet so we had to amuse ourselves hanging out outside all day
Dude, growing up through the 80s and 90s was the shit. New music videos from our favorite artists got us amped. These bands and rap groups would spend insane amounts of money making a crazy video to promote their latest release. Dont get me wrong, I do love the convenience of streaming music when it comes out now. But back in the day, seeing that new video drop and play in heavy rotation on MTV up until the release date of the new album? It got us stoked for it. Then the hunt of finding a record store that had your album in stock was always an adventure. I'm about to sound like an old man here, but I miss the old days. Lol.
I’m biased, but the 90’s were amazing. So many good movies and music. Rap exploded, Grunge exploded. Pulp Fiction shook up the world of film. Boyz in the Hood. Menace to Society. Most of the artist from that era are still huge to this day. It’s a true testament to how wild the 90’s were. As a white kid from the suburbs, hearing NWA was a huge eye opener. I heard stories of a world I didn’t know existed. Great experience.
This was made in the 90s but the cop movie thing is paying homage to old 70s cop shows. It was a throwback when it came out. It's like Starsky and Hutch 70s cops from when the Beasties were young kids.
All for one sabotage was 90 if you want 80s Beastie Boys need to look up the main song from them back in the 80s fight for your right to party or No Sleep till Brooklyn
The video is a spoof of the 70's cop/private eye shows like Starsky and Hutch but the song came out in 1994. I think the Beastie Boys played most of the instruments themselves. Nearly every Beastie Boys song just bangers from beginning to end.
100%. For when this can out relative to Starsky and Hutch, this would be like spoofing Baywatch now.
Always give the old streets of San Francisco vibes
Amen!
Starsky & Hutch, Magnum PI, Hunter, Moonlighting, TJ Hooker, Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues...
Man, there was so much detective show stuff back then. Good times.
They definitely played the instruments on this track. Yauch on Bass, Mike D on drums, Ad Rock on guitar. They used to do it live, too at some gigs.

Sure Shot and Shake Your Rump are two of my favorites.
No love for brass monkey?
Root Down is the proper spelling. Good list of videos.
Beastie Boys Paul Revere. Hands down, one of the best stories told in lyric form. Such a great song.
First rap song i memorized word for word at like 14 😎
my mom heard it and confiscated my copy of license to ill.
I was in 6th grade with Licensed To Ill came out, and it displaced R7n D.M.C. and LL Cool J as the favorite rap group at my school.
I hit it like this I hit it like that I hit it with a wiffel ball bat. So I’m on the run the cops got my gun. Lol

They got helped with a few beats by this guy named Jason Mizell (a.k.a. Jam Master J).
I discovered Beastie Boys License To Ill between 8th grad and 9th grade in 1986. Wore OUT my cassette tape that summer!!!!!!
“So whatcha want” and “Shake your rump”….. is a must….
It's worth watching the live performance on *Letterman* , the energy is great and you can see them in a genuinely live setting.👏
The video is based on ‘70s crime shows. It’s fabulous. When the Beastie Boys played this at MSG in ‘95 (maybe it was ‘96), the place went off the hook!!!
90's were so insane in the best possible way.
If you're asking if this is an 80s group or a 90s group, the answer is yes. Sabotage and Intergalactic were both 90s hits. They had staying power, which is why they are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Video is a parody of 70's TV cop shows.
Really excited you got to see this one. The energy of this song is absolutely infectious. Glad you shared your discovery with us :)
It was MCA who died, Adam Yauch. Cancer got him. RIP
@@3DJapan Thanks for clarifying that.
You gotta see them playing this song live on Letterman in 1994. INSANE!!!!
YEEEEEEEESSSSS
No sleep till.......
Beastie boys we salute you.
Bikers Birmingham UK.
They rocked it in the 80s.
The Beasties .United all sub cultures
Beastie Boys played their own instruments- they were originally a punk band before switching to rap. Their videos were very progressive and they tried to keep the budgets low and force as much creativity as possible. Be sure to give a look at Ch-Check It Out and What'Cha Want...
The 70s were the best . The music was 🔥🔥🔥MTV started in the 80s . Great videos.
This was when MTV was relevant and primarily played music videos.
Dude, check out the intro to a couple of old 70’s tv programs…”Starsky and Hutch” and “Streets of San Francisco.” Pretty sure Beastie Boys got their inspiration from shows like that.
Love seeing the joy of discovering this gem! Beastie Boys are legends
Back in the day music videos were so much better lol. Like mini movies a lot of times.
I definitely agree
Sabotage will seriously become one of your favorite songs of all time! You just can’t not!!!
Seriously proud of your supporters for introducing you to Beastie.
You need to find a copy of The Beastie Boys album "Paul's Boutique" it's fire.
4. Live instrumental funk/lounge band (could be my favourite)
Check out Something’s Got to Give (the video is ace too).
And for a Leftfield track check out Cookie Puss and the story behind it.
I don't think there is a "better". Just different vibes for different decades.
Los beastie boys fueron de lo mejor de su epoca, hasta adelantados diría yo. Super grupo.
One of my all time favourite tunes ever.
That awesome riff is actual bass. It's played by Adam Yauch aka MCA who sadly passed away from cancer. I play bass, and I got to say that riff is kick ass!!!
AdRock on the guitar, MCA on bass, Mike D killing the drums.
Paul's Boutique will put the fever into your funkhouse
The live set of this song on the Letterman show is fantastic, playing all the instruments from the tune, worth a view.
Watch this live. They were a punk band before they started rapping. So they play most instruments like guitar and drums themselves.
So yes, music videos were a new thin in 1981, and for 20 years people ran
Home to watch new music videos. Note: The Beastie Boys write and play their own music when re-cording and worked with DJs to replicate what they did. (Mix-Master Mike bring their main DJ) but sometimes on stage they have multiple DJs.
Beastie Boys were some of the pioneers of hip hop!
" wait what is this!?" Its the Beasties! Always respecting old skool on the cutting edge!
lol .... this is like a whole night of GTA 😂loving your reactions to the beasties , and your right they are a breath of fresh air , beasties legends
LOL...I saw the very first video that ever played on MTV in 1981. It was HUGE.
Should watch Beastie Boys + Nas - Too many rappers.
Gotta check out "Hey Ladies" next. All their videos are fun and silly, that one is an homage to funky disco tracks & Saturday Night Fever
70’s 80’s early 90’s all good music!
MTV Everybody's chaos, I love that
They made their first publicly recognized album in the early 80's
I love that you had the same exact reactions I had when I was a young buck seeing this when it came out in the 90s. It’s awesome and a true testament that great music, and particularly the B-Boys transcend time and space.
Keep digging deep with these 3 MCs, you won’t be disappointed. They literally don’t have a weak track in their arsenal.
This is rad. I've been listening to the Beastie Boys for 37 years, its the shit.
Sabotage, the theme music for every comedy/action montage for four nearly decades.
Every year was lit before the 2000"s. PERIOD.
The fact you knew The A Team... Major points from me!! lol
Hey Ladies is another great one from the Boys.
You should check out a song by Paul Simon "You Can Call Me Al". From the 80s and has a great cameo in it 😊
Adrock on guitar
Adam Yauch on bass
Mike D on drums
Originally a punk band
Some of the shows you were trying to think of: " The Music video for "Sabotage", directed by Spike Jonze and played extensively on MTV, is a homage to, and parody of, 1970s & 80s crime drama shows such as Hawaii Five-O, The Streets of San Francisco, S.W.A.T., Baretta, and Starsky and Hutch.
The Beastie boys did not fuck around when it came to making music videos. They were always crazy, fun as hell, and just nuts sometimes.
IRISH WHITE BOYS.
keep on going with the Beastie Boys, you won't be disappointed. they are hip hop royalty (even though this song is more on their punk rock side)
Beastie Boys, straight out of the golden age of hip hop and still setting the standard decades later.
I remember staying up to watch MTV the day it first aired. It was very exciting, cable was fairly new.
MTV was HUGE! It started in 1982 or 1983.
They were just having some fun
All of the 70-90’s was musically LIT! 🔥
To me 70's 80's and 90's all had their own vibe. All good in their own right. After that is all blends together to me. Maybe every person thinks this as they get older.
That is also one of my favorites songs ever.
MTV used to stand for music television. When they first came out all they played was music videos. They have since evolved into miscellaneous television. It is no longer about the music.
That makes sense
The video is a pastiche of 1970s TV cop serials. The "lit" guitarist is Ad-Rock, who is also a multi instrumentalist and, of course, an MC.
Beastie Boys were probably the first group to mix rock and rap. They came out in the 80's, but this particular song was recorded in 1993.
Most people from that time were funny cuz we didn't have the internet so we had to amuse ourselves hanging out outside all day
it is a treasure watching you enjoy and educate yourself. the questions you ask are all vailid. so much fun watching you enjoy this.
"I didn't choose when I was born". That doesn't mean you couldn't watch older shows. I grew up watching shows from 20 and 30 years before my time.
Buddy Rich one of the greatest Drummers of all time.
The golden years of music IMHO 60's - 90's
Dude, growing up through the 80s and 90s was the shit. New music videos from our favorite artists got us amped. These bands and rap groups would spend insane amounts of money making a crazy video to promote their latest release. Dont get me wrong, I do love the convenience of streaming music when it comes out now. But back in the day, seeing that new video drop and play in heavy rotation on MTV up until the release date of the new album? It got us stoked for it. Then the hunt of finding a record store that had your album in stock was always an adventure. I'm about to sound like an old man here, but I miss the old days. Lol.
Duuuuuude, that tune is just so badazz!!!! It hasn't lost it's edge!
Kojak, Streets of San Fransico, and Columbo are some good 70's detective tv shows.
The Donut Interlude is just to let you know who's the Cop and who's the Perp. Plus, it was an inspired mellow bridge in the music.
MTV was out then in 1982 when I joined the Army 19 yrs old.
Legends... Inducted into the HOF by Chuck D...
