I love these miniature sets that are rare to see in any media today. The miniature city's they built for blade runner and the fifth element are absolutely insane.
Agree 100%! I watched a behind the scenes video on the set building of LA from Blade Runner 2049 recently. So cool. Those spinner POV scenes from Blade Runner and the sequel will always be my favourite scenes from the movies.
This is epic. Thank you for sharing this. I've loved the BB's since I was ten back in '84 when I first heard my cousin playing License to Ill on his turntables. RIP MCA!
this is incredible what a production team I cannot imagine how long it took to create something like that from paper to reality the Beastie boys are the coolest people in the entire world being able to create something like that
That was cool, I love how much production was put into it, but made to look like it was made on a “Godzilla from Japan, 1970” budget!!! Just incredible details, I remember the movies on Saturday morning creature double feature….Japanese monster movies…
I'm a massive kaiju / giant monster nerd and secondary music fan with the Beastie Boys' latter era works among my favorites: this footage is an amazing insight to what is arguably the greatest giant monster-inspired music video in film history and I, like many others here, thank you for sharing.
Yeah dude awesome job. only 1245 views and 17 comments at this time but, it will have millions once the masses search for it! Thanks for sharing this with the world ....
What a great homage to the Japanese monster movies in lieu of the fact that some of the video was filmed in Japan. The Japanese are great model builders that made the sets for those movies, a genre I've always loved. Fantastic behind the scenes footage and amazing model builders in their own right.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing. Do you remember where abouts in Queens the sound stage was? Looks like south queens, LIC area based on the opening shot of the empire state building.
Yeah LIC...Not Broadway Stages thou. Can't actually remember the name. Only shot there once...Might have the call sheet floating around...Thanks for checking it out!
“Mario C. likes to keep it clean Gonna shine like a sunbeam Keep on rappin', 'cause that's my dream Thank Moe Dee for 'Sticking to Themes'” Just saying...or rapping. Now let's go from #intergalacticplanetary to time traveling. 1998! 20th century!! You newborn, what's a Google, I miss my training wheels, Similac drinking, Gerber eating SUCKAS.😝
Wasn’t shot at Silver Cup or Broadway Stages…only been to it for this shoot so can’t remember…probably got the call sheet buried with the name somewhere thou.
Your welcome! Finally off the Hi-8 tape and cemented to the net forever! Glad I had my camera that day! True inspiration. ✌️

Thanks! Special to me for sure...Didn’t want to just give to the internet so it’s been unseen for 20 plus years and aged like wine it was time...
Funny thing is, The Beasties never age, because they’re timeless.

I did not know how the "Intergalactic Planetary" was said and how did the robot make that voice?
definitely not nearly enough pop-locking from the robot in the vid
robot x monster : Constructors os Ludic X Video Deconstructor of Ludic !
wow making music videos looks so fun :|
OMG they had a lot of money.
Is that Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the end of the video with his frosty blonde hair?
Yes what! How am I just finding this now. We need a Party for your right to fight bloopers or is there one?
So fuckin sad how you see Adams weight loss.
