I am post op day 4. Sleeping on my back is the best, or my right side (with a smaller pillow by my incisions) I cannot at all sleep on my left side, it feels like the skin is just pulling to much on my top incision. Thankfully, I am able to sleep well.

Had my gallbladder out almost 4 months ago via open surgery. In a month, I had to sleep on my back which is really difficult for me since I was used in sleeping on my sides. I feel nauseous when I lay on my sides so I had to adjust my entire sleep routine. But all is well now, thank God. :)))

I'm 5 days po and I can only lay on my back, I've tried my left side but it doesn't feel right. Not sure if it's cause I'm a bigger lady and that makes it more uncomfortable or what. My doctor said I could sleep on my side and also go back to work today. I'm still in a lot of pain and discomfort.

Had laparoscopic surgery 2 weeks ago. I was in horrible pain initially, but after three day started to get better. Then on the 10th day I got off bed and probably torn or pulled my abdominal muscle one inch left of belly button. I am in horrible pain after that. Have no problem getting in bed, use all those pillows to sleep, but getting up from bed is what resulted in horrible pain. Even oxycocet that I had been prescribed after surgery doesn’t help. When I sit it is OK, but any other movement it is like I was stabbed with knife one inch left from my belly button.

I had my gallbladder removed over 2 weeks ago. Recovery is going great - EXCEPT for a touch of insomnia. I wake up around 3:00 am every morning and can't get back to sleep. I think the general anesthesia messed up my circadian rhythm. Anyone else experience this??

You can lay of the right side. its not recommended since that is where the surgery is and hint gallbladder is right under the liver
