    Sunrises are a gift, aren't they? So few get to see it from the air, and even fewer see it at 12:00 o'clock and rising. BTW, you two are working through those checklists like a pro crew!

      I’m pretty sure you’re a lot like me and probably file IFR even on the clearest of days. But for some rare reason, I felt compelled to go VFR. The break from the radios was a welcoming change 😀

      Meeeee tooooo 😀. But on those longer lighter cross-country flights that Turbo Saratoga can trim hours from the total flight. So having them both is magnificent! Thanks for the great comment 😀

    Raul, I'm planning a trip to Vegas (KVGT) and Sedona (KSEZ) this summer in a M20C. I will definitely be flying as early as possible to get best performance and minimal turbulance!! Keep'em coming!!

      That sounds like it’s going to be some fun trips my friend 😀. I have flown near Las Vegas and Sedona. The Sedona flight experience and scenery was incredible. My wife and I ate at the restaurant at the airport and it was nice. We stayed near the airport.

    What's highest you have flown your SIx in the different seasons?

    • @FlyingDirty
      @FlyingDirty  Рік тому

      Hi Bob! Great question! I’ve taken it up to 14k in the winter when flying over the Rockies but, as you may know, normally aspirated airplanes don’t do very well up that high. The prime cruising altitude at gross weight for the Six is between 6-8k. The Turbo Saratoga on the other hand does best at 20k but I don’t normally take it up to the FLs because above 18k I can’t use the cannula and the mask consumes a lot of Oxygen. But I like flying the Turbo Saratoga between 11-17k.

      @@FlyingDirty Cool, yea was just curious cause we have the 6/260 and usually about 5 to 8 where we stay but wanted fly out that way one day and was curious when you really notice MP going low and "hit" your ceiling. Thanks

    • @FlyingDirty
      @FlyingDirty  Рік тому +1

      @@firepilot109 If you come in the summer definitely check the density altitude. In the summer I just take the valleys when going through the Rockies and I’ll do shuttle climbs when I need altitude. I’ll also take advantage of the mountain updrafts and let her climb as high as she wants anticipating the downdraft side. But if you get the chance for some mountain flying it’s a fun experience 😀
